Lefty, it actually took you quite a while to descend to the ground, as movement on the ethereal plane is slow, about half of what you can normally do, and it was about 400 feet. Especially considering the mist shrouding the caves, you don't think you have time to really look around if you want to get back up using your ethereal ability. You don't see anything of concern in your immediate vicinity, however.
Raulzig, the grasping tentacles don't seem to be interested in you. There is still one door you didn't enter, to the east of the room that the negative energy elemental was in.

Raulzig, you don't hear anything at the door.
Opening the door, you enter a wide chamber outfitted as a dining room, with three round, wooden tables, shiny with frost, and several chairs. The walls hold bookcases, and a number of woven carpets -- stiff with age and cold -- cover the floor. Five doors line the far wall.
The first 20 feet of the room runs 30 feet north and south. The next 10 feet to the east opens up to 50 feet north and south, with five doors in the east wall.
Krokod, Ryarg, are you following Raulzig?

Lefty will return, calculating the angles for a d. door, in case we do go that way. He'll stay ethereal for now, and try to see what's in the rooms, if there's time.

As you being ascending, you note in one chamber, about halfway down, five frost giants and four massive white wolves apparently standing guard over a large room below.
Whoops, however I also realized it was closer to 300 feet down than 400, so consider yourself to still have 5 rounds of etherealness when you get back to the top, assuming you resume normal form immediately.
