Just a heads up.
I'm moving across the state for a few days. My grandmother is ill, and my mom is worried about her making it. Hopefully she will recover. I should have wireless, but my posting will be slow while I'm away regardless. Apologies for that.

I'm getting a few posts in elsewhere, but with this being higher level and requiring a bit more research into spells and such it will probably the slow one.
Right now, it's a waiting game from what I can gather from the doctor :(
Thanks for the well wishes

I don't know how much I'll be able to post in the next few days. It's the viewing for my girlfriend's dad tonight, then his funeral tomorrow; plus I'm filling in for a co-worker at work; and then I'm off to a weekend camping trip.
Hopefully we can all be back and get going again on Monday?
(And you're free to move away from the statues if you want, of course. Plenty of other areas to go.)

OK, I'm back (for the week, at which point I'll be on vacation again). Just wanted to check in and make sure people are still interested. If time constraints are a problem still, I'm OK holding off until I get back from vacation (which will be a week from Thursday, so I'd probably start regular posting again Aug. 10), but I'd appreciate if you can let me know if you think you're not interested/won't have time.
I'm also fine if everyone wants resuming immediately. I should be able to post daily through this coming Thursday.

I'm here, and I do not mind waiting. Just PM me (if you want to wait) when your ready to go.

I'm loving it so far, and I don't mind the incredible amount of posts it will take to do a single encounter. PbP at this level will be a lesson to all of us, however it goes. We just have to be patient and have fun with it.
When I GM PbP, I repost initiative almost every post so we don't have to look for it or wonder who's turn it is. Given the power of this game, it helps, since one turn can change things in crazy ways.
Take your time, motteditor.

Great, glad to hear you're all on board. Let's plan to start back up a week from Monday then (Aug. 13), when I think I should be mostly back to my regular schedule. Please feel free to decide what you want to do with the situation you're currently in as well. You can keep exploring the area you're in, move on to somewhere else, or whatever. Let me know if you need me to re-recap what's happened so far.

Are we in a direct fight at the moment? In the sense that if we stayed right where we are (or I flew bac to the party) we would be able to just talk and roleplay a little?

There are no obvious opponents at the moment, however there are still 22 statues remaining (6, I believe, have animated) and who knows if those will animate. It's probably reasonable to assume you might have some time to talk if you move away from the clock, back to where you first landed on the ice shelf.

Lefty proposes that we do just that. Let's get a better look around. That torc won't be here in the open. What else is about?
using arcane sight to find magical auras

When I encounter an area like this in a video game, I usually end up exploring it snake-like: all the way to the right, one step up, all the way to the left, etc. So my proposal would be to start going to the right.
There are stairs in the right part of the map - do they lead up or down? Same question for the tunnel.

This whole whirlwind thing could get really annoying fast, in that Ryarg can single-handedly mop the floor with any number of low Reflex save monsters leaving the rest of the group with nothing to do. Everybody can feel free to tell me to shove the whirlwind routine at any time - I won't take offence.

Just so you guys know, the next two days I'll be driving /riding for hours tomorrow to see my folks (Family is having hard times) then going back the next day so my posting maybe slow or even miss a day. I should have internet connection but thought I should give you a head's up.

In the class guide, the trickster counts on "real" full casters to handle the party support, and uses stealth magic for scouting and surprise blasting to help out in the big fights. In this party, he needs more wizard spells and fewer blasty ones, but he's still 3 levels short of a full caster.
He's got plenty left, but he's light on support/control spells. If we get a chance to rest, I can fix that a little bit. The thing is, we probably won't. So, he'll most likely open with a blast or two, then we'll see what else we can do. I just don't want to burn through our magic too fast and have nothing left if we run into something even nastier. In this case, we don't want a negative energy elemental touching us, so it's all good.
I just want to save something for later! LOL Good thing we've got a druid mauler and a good archer! Looks like you guys all picked good spells, too. I get the feeling Krokod's gonna need all the healing magic he can muster...

If anyone here is interested in running a campaign, I am in a Serpent's Skull campaign with pretty good players. We were about 3 weeks in and then the DM just switched the campaign to inactive and said he did not want to deal with the issues. Issues that we have all seen a dozen times on PbP. If anyone is interested, or know someone who wants to DM a Serpent's Skull campaign, please let me know.
Here is the OOC thread for the now inactive campaign.
We have a mwangi elf wizard, a vanara ranger, a human cleric (me), and a human bard(archeologist). If someone wants to take over, we can play with 4 players, this group is decently balanced I think, or pick up 1-2 more.
As I said, we had only played for about a month, so very little has happened and we could easily restart if necessary.
