I *do* like maps...but they are more difficult to copy than script.
Seeing Sekathral take the maps, Kyson mopily hands Seka his map case, hoping that it's better to just give up up rather than have Seka shoot him in the back and take it. "You can use this if you want."
Kyson will then help pack up the other loots and will then be ready to go.

Kyson casts Detect Magic on the weaponry, hoping to find a hidden gem among them.
i once read a story about a powerful Sword of Truth hidden amongst normal swords, trying to be smuggled to the arms of an enemy. But the good guy, who was a scion of the original sword wielder got the sword and beat the bad guy. Maybe I could do that with a magic sword.

Girlfriend abandoned me for the night, so...
Kyson sets up a screen in front of his comrades to prevent any further injuries, while Silvio rushes forward to try to get the abomination's attention. Khazmia's ray goes wide, as she tries to make sure she doesn't hit the Chelaxian.
Dargon moves in and hits the creature, which seems unprepared for the sudden onslaught though as with previous such creatures, the blow seems less effective than expected. 4 hp
Sekathral also takes advantage, darting past to strike from behind, slashing the man's ribs open in what would seem like a death blow but which merely staggers his foe. 7 hp, 11 total, flanking with Dargon
Zstelian also passes by Kyson and nearly decapitates the man with a single chop, though again he refuses to fall. 9 hp, 20 total
The creature seems fixated on Dargon, who was first to hit it and lashes out at the dwarf, who's cannily able to avoid his blows.
However, with the fight seemingly over before it's really even begun, three more savage pirates emerge from the tunnels behind Sekathral. They rush the elf, two of them slashing him with scimitars 13 hp total, seemingly ready to inflict more damage.

As far as positioning, you have Kyson and Khazmia in the back, then a line of Zstelian, Silvio and Dargon with a pirate directly in front of Silvio. Sekathral is flanking with Dargon while a line of three pirates is centered on the other side of Sekathral. (Hopefully that makes sense!)

Kyson blasts the pirates with flame, apparently catching all three by surprise and hitting them all full on. 9 hp each
Silvio rushes forward and again tries to draw attacks, attacking more to get the men's attention than to do any damage.
Khazmia touches one of the men, who suddenly seems to stiffen noticeably. -7 Dex!

As Kyson steps back, Silvio tries to draw the pirates' attention with some ineffectual feints.
Khazmia proves to have a little more success, the half-orc's blade cutting into her foe, though it seems to have a hard time penetrating his bone spurs. 2 hp
Next to her, Dargon and Zstelian have little luck fighting through their foe's guard, but Sekathral's able to use their distraction to roll past the man, stabbing him from behind and sending a spray of blood flying. 4 hp; now flanking with Zstelian
As the pirates slash with sword and teeth, you're able to avoid the worst of their blows with a furious guard, until Khazmia finally overextends, taking a wicked cut along her torso from her foe's sword. 8 hp

Silvio's swordplay seems to cover Khazmia as she steps back, firing her last bolt of acid for the day toward the injured pirate, causing his skin to sizzle.
Dargon and Sekathral continue to ineffectively hammer at their injured foe, but Zstelian finally takes advantage and cuts him down with a mighty swing. It bites ineffectively at the Varisian as it dies, then bursts into acidic goo. 3 hp to Dargon, Seka and Zstelian; DC 15 Reflex save to negate.
The remaining two pirates concentrate on Silvio, who takes a quick cut before turning his attention to defense, letting him fend off several other close calls. 5 hpo Seeing his injury, Kyson steps forward with his wand, immediately closing the Chelaxian's wounds. back to full health; I'm assuming this is fine with Kyson but feel free to re-inflict the injuries on Silvio if you wouldn't have done that.
