Round 6, Init 14

Assuming there's room, she'll attack to aid another (Silvio's attack) if not, move where it works.

The little creature screeches as Sekathral's blade cuts deep into its spine, drawing a splash of sticky blood, though it's not so distracted that it can't manage to avoid Silvio's blade.

Kyson's fireball hits with a hiss and the stench of burning fur, and the creature's beginning to look very badly hurt. Still, the priest isn't sure what exactly it is, much less what it was before whatever seems to be affecting the things in this cove mutated it as well.

Despite Khazmia and Kayle's attempts to distract their small foe, Zstelian can't land a blow, as its flashing kukri continues to fend him off.

Dargon, though, lands a pair of powerful blows, but he can feel their impact dulled by the creature's fur and various spots of bone jutting from its flesh. Still, he thinks he hears some bones snap, though the creature doesn't seem to let on that it's injured. In fact, it lashes back out at the dwarf, cutting him with its blade while Dargon is distracted by the remaining pirate, who rushed after 6 hp damage; Dargon's being flanked after the pirate's move earlier in the round, though for prose flow purposes I'm just mentioning said move and action now.

There doesn't appear to be anything of real value in the cavern, Sekathral. However, the four pirates each wear nice studded leather armor and three have scimitars while one wields a cleaver. The smaller creature carries an oddly curved dagger that's shaped almost like a banana; and is wearing linen clothes, slippers, a gold nose ring with a silver chain linked to a silver hoop earring, and a ruby ring.

Leaving the cave, the long, high-ceilinged tunnel leads into another sandy-floored chamber, though dozens of bolts of once-fine brocaded silk hang from lines of rope stretched lengthwise across the ceiling, making it difficult to accurately judge the cave's size.

Then he imagines them on Dargon...but then realizes the next time the dwarf got drunk, he'd never come down.

How do you get a drunk spider climbing dwarf off a wall?
I don't know, how?
It wasn't a riddle, brain! I'm asking you!
Uhm...a stone giant with a spatula?

Not knowing any stone giants with combat spatulas, he imagines the slippers on Seka, but realizes the man would never deign to wear something so pretty.

Then he imagines them on Zstelian.

Then he imagines them on himself, but realizes he has a fear of heights...and, even more than that, falling.

Kyson shivers at the thought.

Kyson looks at the slippers, then to Khaz's big feet, then back to the dainty slippers, then to the Princess Talons, but sighing and realizing that it's probably the best choice.

"Uhm, Khaz? Maybe you should wear these? I think that they should help you climb the wall. You might be able to fire your spells from safety..."

GAH!! WHAT THE HECK IS THAT THING!?!? SEKATHRAL!

Geez. I've seen murderous Cthulusaurs before, but that one is vicious *and* hates pirates.

Round 1, Peeing in Pants 24

As the cthulusaurus comes and rips Sekathral to bits, Kyson simultaneously cries "Seka!!" (because no man, even Sekathral, deserves such a fate) and pees himself silly.

Kyson murmurs a quick prayer, hoping that Sekathral is still alive, and carefully moves away from the 'thing'.

Cast Stabilize on Sekathral.

I hope it only eats pirates.

"The dwarf is a pirate too! Get him instead of me!" Kyson yells over his shoulder as he moves back a bit.

Sekathral, lying in a bloody heap on the ground, twitches slightly, an old sea song running through his head:

Farewell to me parents and me crew
And to my dear Sally, goodbye
Here I lie, a-bleeding on the deck
When for your sweet sake I would die

You pick our friend away from there and Silvio will cover your retreat!" he shouts a incouragement to the young cleric. "You now face Silvio, great sea captain and hero to all!" the chelaxian informs the giant lizard as he prods his blade in a few practice thrusts to try and find its weaknesses.

Silvio waves his sword at the creature, trying -- successfully -- to get its attention. The creature turns from Sekathral's limp form and leaps on the Chelaxian, talons and claws cutting into the swordsman and opening up huge rents. 22 hp

The creature swipes ineffectively at Dargon as the dwarf swipes his leg over its, toppling the beast and provoking a cry that could be rage or surprise or likely both.

Are you there, Sarenrae? It's me, Kyson. Kyson Tirc. I need you.
