Few societies have so vaunted a tradition of leading crusades as Taldor, yet the constant revisions to its history by scheming factions leaves the truth obscured by countless acts of political modifications. Even the lauded Kitharodian Academy’s texts are riddled with these changes, so when a secretive ally approaches the Pathfinder Society with information about a hidden archive that contains the unaltered histories, the Pathfinders plan a daring infiltration to recover the secrets of Taldor’s past victories so that Mendev might benefit from the discovery.
______

Hi all! This is a recruitment for the Pathfinder Society scenario 5-11 Library of the Lion and will be run as part of Session 1 (Aug. 25-Oct. 5) for the upcoming PbP Gameday VI. This is a 1-5 scenario, so any PC between the levels of 1 and 5 may play.

About me as a GM
I'm Jacob. I've been running PBP games on Paizo for more than six years, so I've got a lot of experience with it, though this will be my first PFS game I'll be GM'ing.

I post 5-10 times a week (I may take a day off here and there when life gets in the way, but other days I'll post 2-3 times a day as the story allows). You can check out some of my other games to see my general style of running, or feel free to ask me questions.

I've got a full table open as I get started, so I'm looking for six players to enter a lottery to play. As noted, this is my first time doing PFS PBP (though GM Hmm has been very helpful in advising me and I'm friends with a number of other PFS gamemasters so I'm not too worried about that) so I'm not sure what the interest level will be like. That said, I'd be happy to have at least one person newer to PBP as I think this is probably a good way to learn and see if you like it.

If you're interested, please answer the following questions (stolen pretty shamelessly from GM Hmm):

THE QUESTIONS
1. Player Name:

2. Are you new to PBP, Organized Play, or both?

3. What excites you most about playing in this game?

4. Tell me a little about yourself! What other games have you played? What are your hobbies?

5. Are you able to post at least once a day?

6. In order to keep the game moving along, sometimes I will DMPC players if a certain amount of time has passed since their last post. Do you give permission for me or the party to "play" your character as needed in combat or another situation?

7. Do you promise to tell us all about upcoming vacations, busy times at work, conventions or other absences so we can DMPC you?

Hello! I just have to throw my hat into the ring on this one :)

Player Name: Lady Ladile

Are you new to PBP, Organized Play, or both? Nope! I've been playing PbP here for almost 3 and a half years now and I've been doing Organized Play off and on for about 2 and a half years.

What excites you most about playing in this game? Two things - I've heard great things about this scenario, especially if you enjoy ones that have a lot of RP potential. The second is that it's a chance to play with motteditor, who has a great reputation, as a GM!

Tell me a little about yourself! What other games have you played? What are your hobbies? I've mostly just played Pathfinder and various versions of D&D, with a smattering of other things like Deadlands, Call of Cthulhu, and Dark Conspiracy. In addition to tabletop, I'm also a big console/PC gamer that primarily enjoys both Western RPGs and JRPGs.

Are you able to post at least once a day? Yes. Usually I can post more on my days off, but even when I'm working it's rarely a problem for me to at least get one post in.

In order to keep the game moving along, sometimes I will DMPC players if a certain amount of time has passed since their last post. Do you give permission for me or the party to "play" your character as needed in combat or another situation? Of course! If I happen to be selected, I'll try to come up with some sort of 'bot me' SOP for whichever character I decide to play.

Do you promise to tell us all about upcoming vacations, busy times at work, conventions or other absences so we can DMPC you? Of course! There hopefully shouldn't be anything to come up during the time frame for the game except maybe work, but I'll be sure to let you know if it happens.

Pathfinder Adventure Path, Lost Omens, Rulebook Subscriber; Starfinder Charter Superscriber

Going to throw my hat in to see if I can join up .

1. Player Name: -lupus-

2. Are you new to PBP, Organized Play, or both? have been in a couple of PbP before using the White Wolf WoD system plus Heavy Gear by DP9. Totally new to Organised Play and unsure what it means.

3. What excites you most about playing in this game? A chance to head back to Pathfinder and Golarion. Great interaction with other gamers, and the collaborative effort of weaving a tale together

4. Tell me a little about yourself! What other games have you played? What are your hobbies?
Too many to list. Started gaming with the Red Box Basic D&D all the way back in the previous millennium. Played way too many games. Sign of a mis spent youth. Most memorable systems where we spent a fair bit of time include FASA Star Trek, Paranoia, Twilight 2000 (1st and 2nd edition); Shadowrun, Cyberpunk 2020; VtM; Original Deadlands

Love to read, novels and comics (less so textbooks and journals). Love to eat :) and the rest of the time is family time. Two kids below 10 years of age, but they seem to be turning 40!!

5. Are you able to post at least once a day? Yes, often more

6. In order to keep the game moving along, sometimes I will DMPC players if a certain amount of time has passed since their last post. Do you give permission for me or the party to "play" your character as needed in combat or another situation?

No problems letting the DM run the scene to keep the momentum going. Nothing worse than getting bogged down waiting for me to log on

7. Do you promise to tell us all about upcoming vacations, busy times at work, conventions or other absences so we can DMPC you?

No vacations until Christmas. Work generally is not bad as I post while at work. Its cool when you are the boss. No conventions, although work has some conferences I will attend. Generally the only down time will be during flights. Only other potential issue is that I am an Aussie, so my hours may be reverse to most US players. But given my erratic hours, hopefully that won't be an issue

Hey all, just wanted to let you know I plan to end recruitment at the end of the day July 31 (and then announce the players on on Aug. 1).

That'll give us a little time to figure out what characters everyone's going to bring to the party and any other details we need to know to get started Aug. 25.

Okay, thanks for the update! :)

Sovereign Court

I may go with another character, if that's alright. Should I create a new entry? Thanks for your consideration.

RPG Superstar 2014 Top 16, RPG Superstar 2012 Top 16

Giovanni, no need to create a new entry. Final characters can be determined once I get all the players situated.

3. What excites you most about playing in this game? I'd like to play a scenario I did not run before and the intro of this one sounds interesting.

4. Tell me a little about yourself! What other games have you played? What are your hobbies? I'm currently in a Star Wars RPG campaign, other than that I play video games or board games. I'm a software developer in a big company und I like sports.

5. Are you able to post at least once a day? Yes, maybe less on weekends.

6. In order to keep the game moving along, sometimes I will DMPC players if a certain amount of time has passed since their last post. Do you give permission for me or the party to "play" your character as needed in combat or another situation? Yes, sir!
