Philgor clears his vision in time to see Argus' bomb again explode far from the nearest birds, who continue to savage Shackleton. 4 hp, plus DC 11 Reflex and Fortitude saves please.

As she continues to search, Lyra finds what she thinks are boar tracks leading south.

Argus, you're fairly far away -- I'd have to look up the rules, but I don't think you can even reach her with a thrown object (bombs have longer range, but even then it was probably stretching things).

RPG Superstar 2008 Top 32

Alchemist's fire has a range increment of 10 feet, so a maximum range of 50 feet. Looks like Argus would have to step forward to be in that range, but he can do it. The range penalties are moot because he rolled a 3 and wasn't going to hit anyway.

Bombs have a range increment of 20 ffet, so Argus could theoretically throw it 100 feet - or 120 if he misses and the scatter die says 'go long'.

The enchanted plants whip around and Lusbet is caught with her pants down (so to speak) and finds her legs trapped by squeezing seeking vines and roots. Shrieking with rage she turns on one of the nearby Imps and lashes out herself. Her blade finds purchase and the imp winces but comes back leering at the ulfen warrior. As if to increase the mockery, her own spirits jab her in the nose, making her eyes water.

Sorry for the delays; trying very hard to get back to regular posting rate. I appreciate everyone's patience. Also, it seems we've lost Shackleton, unfortunately. I'll continue to DMPC him for the moment.

Round 5:

Argus: 22
Lisbet: 14
Lyra: 7
Philgor: 15
Shackleton: 9
Vegazi: 13
Antagonist: 21

Argus flees the grasping vines and hits Vegazi's sister in the head with an exploding vial, a blow followed up by Lyra's arrow.

Her cry of pain turns into a scream of outrage, however, as Philgor again slashes the boar, which squeals in pain. It takes advantage of the vines wrapping around the big man and slams its tusks into his mid-section, breaking several ribs. Philgor's entangled by the spell, then takes 12 hp from the boar

Lisbet and Shackleton focus on the imp between them, even as the vines snag both of them. Each manages some punishing blows, but not enough to send it back to Hell, and it immediately begins healing.

"Blasted, infernal beast," the gnome growls as it stings him, the other's tail finding nothing but Lisbet's armor. The two creatures fly out of the spell's area, closing in on Argus and Lyra. Lisbet and Philgor can take an AoO; one of the imps is badly hurt, the other is untouched.

Ilka, pulling out a wand, moves behind a rock, blocking her from view of almost everyone but Lyra.

As the imp tries to fly clear, Lisbet swats it between it's wings. Not taking the time to celebrate the small victory, Lisbet then throws her weight to get clear of the entangling plants... However, Philgor's fight with the boar keeps her attention closer by. She steps toward the pink eyed lunch meat and swings!

Philgor: 15

Vegazi: 13

Philgor's sword hits the imp and it falls to the ground, broken, only to be finished off by Lisbet's blow. The big man tries to cleave through to slay the boar, but the vines -- still hampering him -- grab at the blade and throw his aim off. Lisbet has no such problem and brings her sword down in a mighty blow that nearly cleaves the creature's head off and drops it to the ground. Boar is down, though still breathing; Philgor is still entangled.

Lyra's arrow again hits Vegazi's sister as she continues her retreat, again using her wand, her wounds seeming to heal. She now has partial cover from everyone. The imp closes in on the archer, but her leather shirt turns its stinger aside.

Shackleton and Vegazi continue to struggle to free themselves from the grasping grass, but remain bound tight as Argus moves into the camp.
