Skaar |
Skaar nods and does just that, picking his way through the samurai's gear.
Looks like he has a wand. Does Tasha have UMD?
Skaar |
Oh, Davro can use the wand.
Davro Iramelis |
Indeed I can, and I have a Wand of CLW of my own. Sorry, school had me locked down. Also nice call on the jumping down the pillar, I forget how high Doragas acrobatics is sometimes.
"Move, I've got him." Davro says, rushing to the downed paladin. He draws his own Wand of CLW and begins casting it on Ideyoshi."They might be searching for us, we need to get out of here fast."
Wand of CLW: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9
Wand of CLW: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 1 = 8
Wand of CLW: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9
Wand of CLW: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 1 = 8
34 total
Wow nice rolls. I assume the creatures will be close behind, should I be sticking to combat rounds to cast? If so that's 5 rounds.
Ideyoshi the Lesser |
Ideyoshi is awake after the third heal. "The chalice! Do we have it?" The Tien man looks about and sees it. "Thank you - you have succeeded where I have failed." He too will begin to use his wand to heal himself and the party.
Will start rolling once we have a handle on whether we can just roll safely.

Ideyoshi begins to heal all who might need healing. Ladies first, though.
Not sure how the healing will be distributed exactly but I'm rolling 6 rounds of CLW. You can claim them by rolling them for yourself.

At the same time he heals others, he also heals himself.
Lay on Hands x5: 15d6 ⇒ (4, 3, 6, 6, 1, 5, 1, 4, 3, 2, 5, 6, 2, 6, 5) = 59
That puts him at 74/79.
"The gargoyles have the advantage of flight while we are hindered by the ground. Do we dare confront them again? If so, we must find a way to fly, or to bring them to the ground."
Tasha Mournglory |
"I am running out of the mythic energy," Tasha says, grimly. "I say we run for it and seek cover in the jungle. They're most likely not as limber on the ground, or they would have fought us there!"

Oh shoot, the tears
"Those demons really got to me. We still have to get the tears don't we. We should find some better shelter and recover our strength.".

Skaar grunts and nods in agreement.
Tasha Mournglory |
"Agreed," Tasha says, once she has caught her breath.
Once again, Tasha draws on the aether, and the earth trembles underfoot as a sturdy cottage rises from the earth.
"Camouflage it as best you can," the Wizard says as she opens the door and limps inside. "I have no skill in woodcraft, but this place will allow us to sleep in relative comfort and security."
One helping of Secure Shelter.

Tasha Mournglory |
"Well, that was restful," Tasha says as she rises from her bunk, stretches, and then goes into a series of physical exercizes, all without missing a beat in the conversation.
"Time we collect the Tears, I think," she says while walking through the cottage on her hands. "However, we will need to be on the lookout for those damnable gargoyles."
A series of smooth rolls, which end near the table, where the Chalice stands -- freshly polished to a high lustre by the Unseen Servant, as is much of the group's equipment; polished and repaired where necessary.
"They'll be on the lookout for the Chalice, I'm sure. When we depart this island, it may behoove us to warn the captain to keep lookout for aerial pursuit. Ah, well. We still need to acquire the Tears. And first of all: breakfast."
Right on cue, the Unseen Servant starts setting the table. It even brings a bowl of water that Tasha uses to wash her hands before plunking herself down on one of the chairs and opening her spellbook.
"So much to do, so much to do," she mutters while perusing her spells.
Acrobatics 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (2) + 11 = 13
Ideyoshi the Lesser |
Ideyoshi opens his eyes from his morning meditations. "This cottage you summoned has been most refreshing, Tasha. Let us pray that today brings success in our mission to retrieve the tears." He stands and goes through the long ritual of donning his armor, before taking his talking sword in hand, ready to proceed.
Skaar |
His hunger overwhelming his unease around the magically conjured food, Skaar heedlessly mounts a chair and helps himself to the food.
”Do we know where these Tears are?” he grunts between bites. ”And what’r we gunna do if those gargoyles show up again?”
Skaar |
That's not nearly as exciting. =P

Tasha Mournglory |
"Yes," Tasha says, sounding a bit less enthusiastic. "Let's. After safely stowing the Chalice. Those gargoyles will still be out looking for it, I'd wager. We'll have to sneak up that mountain."

You need the chalice to hold the tears...
It takes you until mid-afternoon hacking your way through the primordial jungle to reach the base of the extinct volcano, which looms some 3,000 feet above you. The journeyh passes mostly uneventfully, though you do find a grisly half-eaten corpse of a dinosaur large enough that you're not sure you'd have wanted to take it on yourself. Several smaller lizards are gnawing at the remains, so you suspect whatever killed it is at least not in the immediate vicinity.
1d100 ⇒ 82
1d100 ⇒ 45
Tasha Mournglory |
I meant safely stowing it in our packs... ^^;
"Look alive, gentlemen," Tasha says, her own head swivelling as she checks for danger. "Can any of you tell what killed this thing?"
Perception 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (20) + 3 = 23
I am reminded of a quote. "You see that thing? Yeah, that thing violating the tarrasque. Let's not mess with that thing I am talking, Leeroy! PAY ATTENTION!"

"Let me catch my breath first," Tasha says, sagging to a squat with her hands on her knees, her breath coming in heavy gasps. "Hurgh. Fine. I shall have to cast Fly-spells on us all this time. Remember, we must not touch the water with our bare flesh, only with the Chalice. And I agree, this time we should all go together."
Ideyoshi the Lesser |
"Together, we are mighty indeed. May Shizuru bless us in our battle ahead.". Cast Bless.

DMPC'ing Tasha based on her last post
Tasha casts fly on each of you and you carefully make your way down into the volcano. Despite your wariness, your path in unimpeded, and you reach the lake waters unmolested.
Taking out the chalice, she carefully dips it into the lake, filling the vessel with water.
Then she looks around, and at each of you.
"Well, that was easy," she says with a shrug.
Skaar |
Skaar peers down into the chalice.
"So, uh, what's next?" the big orc grunts.
Skaar |
"Let's make it quick!" Skaar says, enjoying his magical flight. "Before Tasha's magic runs out."

As you ascend to the top of the mountain again, you're greeted by another of the island-shaking roars.
Clearing the lip, you see a gigantic tyrannosaurus Rex come racing up the mountain, a vicious red scar cutting across its right eye.
40 feet away, it continues to make a bee-line directly for you.
Davro: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (12) + 4 = 16
Ideyoshi: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (12) + 10 = 22
Skaar: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (16) + 4 = 20
Tasha: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 4 = 12
Antagonist: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (9) + 5 = 14
Everyone but Tasha can act in Round 1
Ideyoshi the Lesser |
"Be prepared, something bigger is surely coming!" Ideyoshi charges the beast! As his blade meets the scaly hide, he quickly turns it to attempt another strike! Charge, then spending a mythic point for an extra Standard action.
Charge: 1d20 + 14 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 14 + 2 = 26; Damage: 1d10 + 14 ⇒ (7) + 14 = 21
Vital Strike: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (4) + 12 = 16; Damage: 2d20 + 28 ⇒ (11, 10) + 28 = 49
Tasha Mournglory |
Before flying off with the water, Tasha asks Ideyoshi to keep hold of her and scans the liquid for magical auras, just to make sure the party got what it needs.
Up above, Tasha prepares to hit the tyrannosaurus with a blast of ice...
Still have internet trouble at home. Tasha will open her assault with an Iceball for 7d6 ⇒ (5, 1, 1, 4, 5, 5, 6) = 27 cold, Reflex save DC18 for half. ^^
Davro Iramelis |
Davro and Doraga will charge the beast as soon as possible, raging as they do so.
Davro Charge: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (12) + 16 = 282d4 + 20 ⇒ (4, 4) + 20 = 28
If this attack makes contact Davro will expend a use of legendary power from Rageborn to deal double damamge(56)
Doraga Charge: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (11) + 12 = 231d6 + 12 ⇒ (2) + 12 = 14
Then Davro attempts to move around the beast to achieve a flanking position with Doraga, striking deep as he arrives.
One point of mythic power to activate Fleet Charge, if he can make it around the beast in a single move action, if not ignore the following. The ability allows me to roll twice, I will add the damage to the end of the attack I am choosing.
Davro Flanking attack: 1d20 + 20 ⇒ (4) + 20 = 24
Davro Flanking attack: 1d20 + 20 ⇒ (20) + 20 = 402d4 + 21 ⇒ (4, 3) + 21 = 28
Critical Confirmation: 1d20 + 20 ⇒ (6) + 20 = 262d4 + 21 ⇒ (1, 2) + 21 = 24
Davro will expend a second use of legendary power from Rageborn to deal double damamge(56), if the critical confirms somehow the damage is still doubled but I spend another point(104). Finally, if the critical hit confirms somehow Doraga also gets to strike again
Doraga Charge: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (13) + 16 = 291d6 + 12 ⇒ (5) + 12 = 17
As a final note, the current health of Davro and Doraga are not correct because I'm not sure how much they were healed for by Ide. I sure hope that beast has some high AC cause that's a potential 191 damage!
