We are on initiative before everyone starts moving (though chances are Anor will go first, so that action should be fine); could someone roll for Reekis and Oliver if they haven’t posted initiative within the next 12 hours or so?

Wolf Initiative: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 2 = 11

Reekis 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7

Quick off the mark as usual.

Oliver init: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (7) - 1 = 6

Initiative:

Anor: 20
Adalwin: 12
Wolves: 11
Eljoy: 10
Reekis: 7
Oliver: 6
Jasper: 4

Anor slips past Eljoy and sneaks past the open doorway and up the corridor.

Adalwin.

Female Human Witch 1 AC 13 HP 8

I hope these wolves don't understand common..... :)

Male Human Fighter / 2

Standing where he is doesn't block other group members from passing does it Moth? If so Adalwin will just step to k10. If not, action as follows...

"What's happening!?" Adalwin calls, trying to discern what is going on down the corridor. "Are we moving up or back?" The young man is indecisive, wanting to stick to Eljoys plan, but worrying about Anor.

Adalwin will hold his action until an enemy presents itself or he is given an indication that Anor is in trouble, in which case he will make for the door at S8. If possible as a free action he will also have a look behind them, to see if the creature from the last encounter has decided to follow...

Perception: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (2) + 5 = 7

Allies can pass you, so you can ready an action if you like.

Two of the wolves pad forward, growling menacingly, though they keep their distance from Eljoy. The third wolf raises its head and howls, the sound echoing loudly in the stone-walled chamber.

At this stage they all just take single move or move equivalent actions, and don’t engage Eljoy at melee range. Maybe they’re scared? Or waiting for something …

Eljoy.

Sovereign Court

Male Human (Andoran); Percept +0, Sense Motive +0; Init +1 ; AC 18 T 12 FF 16; F 6, R 3, W 0 (+2 v emotion spell and effect); HP 28/28

"Screw this! Ady! Come on!"

Eljoy pushes into the room and drives his ax at the nearest wolf.

Move to L6.
Ax v wolf, rage.: 1d20 + 5 + 2 ⇒ (16) + 5 + 2 = 23 ... damage: 1d8 + 5 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 5 + 2 = 15

AC drops to 18. 4 rounds of rage left.

Male Human Fighter / 2

When Adalwin can activate he will double move to K6

As Eljoy steps forward, the wolf snarls and bites at the warrior. Moving up to it has triggered its readied action.

bite: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (13) + 2 = 15 damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2 If that hits; trip: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 2 = 13

Eljoy fends off the wolf’s attack and swings his axe down onto the beast’s neck. There is a wet ~thunk~ and the wolf collapses without a wimper.

Adalwin MacFaine wrote:

If you were delaying, you can act right after Eljoy.

Hearing the commotion, Adalwin races forward, jostling past his companions in the corridor and bursting into the room. As he skids to a stop in front of one of the remaining wolves it snaps at him.

Wolf readied action: bite: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7 If that hits; trip: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 2 = 19

Reekis.

Reekis, with typical forethought realises he hasn't loaded his crossbow. He then moves round the corner, glancing anxiously up the corridor as Anor heads off by herself but too cowardly to follow.

Load crossbow and move to K7.

Oliver.

Male Half-elf Oracle 1 (AC: 17 [T: 13 /FF: 14]; HP: 17/17; F+3, R+5, W+6 (+3 more with Taint); Init: -1; Perc: +7 [Low-light vision])

Oliver frets each time the jaws of one of the wolves snaps hard, but is relieved to see that they are not finding purchase in any of his allies. He moves to get a clearer view of the room and the fight, and prepares to rush to the aid of whoever finds themselves in need.

Move, to M7
Standard, Ready an action to move adjacent to the next ally that gets hit (needs healing).

Jasper.

Jasper moves forward and scoots past Reekis and Oliver, peeking into the room to see if he can help. One wolf down and his friends facing the other two, he decides his meager aid won't do much. He follows Anor instead, wondering if she has an interesting plan...

I believe he can just make it to adjacent to Anor with a double move.

Anor then Adalwin.

Female Human Witch 1 AC 13 HP 8

Anor looks on in concern as her friends rush in to tackle the wolves.

Anor will delay. The plan was to move out and make the wolves follow, in which case Anor planned to get a shot off at the last wolf out, and take them from behind <fnar>. That plan hasn't survived contact with the enemy..... Now she is waiting to see if the Big Bad Talking Wolf comes to that call.

Good plan. Eljoy thought of her as isolated and vulnerable to attack. (Read I didn't figure it out.) So he changed his plan to make sure she wouldn't be.

Yeah, that's always the risk. It's a fine line between OOC planning, and metagaming. I didn't feel she had time to explain in Character. Maybe she'll learn something ;)

Male Human Fighter / 2

Adalwin skids to a halt in front of the snapping jaws of the wolf before him. He swings his sword wildly but well wide of the animal.

Attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9 Damage: 1d10 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7

The wolf deftly ducks under Adalwin’s blade then darts in to snap at his leg. Bite: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 2 = 9 damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6 Trip: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8

The last wolf stops howling and lunges towards Eljoy, saliva dripping from its jaws. . Bite: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3 damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4 Trip: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (12) + 2 = 14

So much for the wolves ... Eljoy.

I'll bet your AC isn't the only thing that drops...

The wolf’s growls change to whimpers as it is almost felled by Eljoy’s savage blow.

Reekis.

Reekis!

Two wolves left standing, though one is badly injured.

Female Human Witch 1 AC 13 HP 8

I'm guessing Aubs is a touch busy....

Seems like. Ok, if Aubrey hasn't had a chance to post in the next 12 hours or so could someone post for Reekis?

Right, sorry, work is a mare right now. Someone please take my turn.

Male Human Fighter / 3

Reekis peeks around the corner, firing off a quick shot at the nearest wolf.

Some major penalties with this attack, but guessing the only real possibility. I'm taking into account a -4 for shooting into combat at Eljoys wolf, not sure if anything else applies.

1d20 - 1 ⇒ (7) - 1 = 6
1d8 ⇒ 5

Reekis' shot flies wide.

Oliver and Jasper.

With the others making short work of the animals, Oliver continues to hold tight until his more common purpose is needed.

Continue to delay until someone needs healing (read: 5 HP damage or more)

Thanks for taking my turn - quite a suitably 'Reekis' outcome.

Jasper..

Jasper's not sure what Anor's plan is, but he's following her lead. He readies an action to fling acid at a threat and waits.

Sorry for the delay...

Anor then Adalwin at the top of the next round.

Also, everyone can make perception checks if they want.

Anor, you're up.

Eljoy snarls at the whimpering wolf and rears back for a second blow.

Adalwin strikes the wolf facing him, drawing blood.

GM Only:
1d20 + 10 ⇒ (3) + 10 = 13

Everyone who has so far rolled their perception hears a low, deep growl that seems to be coming from the chamber to the west of the one where Adalwin and Eljoy fight the wolves.

"Er, did anyone else hear that?" Reekis asks as he hastily rewinds his crossbow.
