I have no problem playing one, probably NE. Though in that case I might go with an aasimar that resents her heritage and goes her own way as a godless cleric with darkness and liberation/travel domains.

For the Hell of it.

Back story

Here:

Rosa Luminass LE Cleric of Diabolism.

Rosa remembers a time of rooms and play, in the house of her farther, there nana would look after her and tell her story’s of the world outside. Rosa knew she could not go out, it was a bad thing and if ever her father found her close to a door or shaded window, he was be very angery. Life was sunbeams for shuttered windows, play and sleep. The servants had a party for her, and nana gave her a new dress, rosa had just put it on when her Farther game. He told nana he needed rosa to come to his work shop and that she had to stay, nana was very upset, but Rosa went with her Farther. The room was big and rosa looked at all the books and bottles. A strange Patten had been made in the middle of the work area floor. Some thing was there, a monster, Rosa was not scared she had seen her father with Monsters before. Monster Held out its hand, “You come with me now” it said, Rosa looked at her Farther who just nodded, Rosa held her hand out, the Monster smiled, “The deal is done, you have want you wanted “ there was a flash and Rosa was in a hot place, all around Monster walked and worked, The one holding her hand held out a metal collar he placed around her neck. “You is slave now, you work here, carry and do fast or pain” he placed a drinking jug in her hands and her mind fogged over. Time passed, she worked with others like her in a great tent made of skin and bone. Sleep, eat work, if she was slow hes was crushed under foot, to awake the next day in the blood pits, Her body whole once more to be sent back to work carrying food and drink to the Monsters.
The tent moved, as its owner the lord of hell willed and she with it, she never once looked outside the tent, she knew only work, pain and sleep.

Then came the time of a fight, another slave, a new one was being slow, if he was not faster she and he would be crushed, he would not move more or let her past, so with one swing she smashed he head in and walked over his body to the tables. The Monsters seem to think this was funny, one of them picked Rosa up in its clawed hand, “Fine one this, she has fire in her, you wast such fire in slave, place her in the army she will do well.” With that he broke her neck. When she came to she was in a blood pit she had never seen before, it was a cell and standing over it was a Monster holding large knifes. There was others around her, “worms you are mine, so heed me well, lean to fight and die well and I may let you live again, you will fight and you will die, each time as our lord wills and you will do so no matter what” with that he throw the Knifes into the pit. "Last one standing gets out". Rosa did not win that day or the next, but soon she did and in doig so joined the ranks of hells army. There she became fodder fight and die in endless wars.

Time passed, then came to time of the sword.

She and others had been sent to frontaly attack a Devil, “You will charge at it all of you and keep it distracted while and agent of our master deals with it, most if not all of you will be sent back to the blood pits and death, this is what you are meant to do, Now go and die has our lord wills”
They ran over the hill and down to the waiting Devil, they died, its grate hammer smashing them while it tail flicked from side to side. Rosa was hit and thrown next to a rock, there she waited for death.

But as she lay dying she had time to see a shape move up behind the Devil, now eating some of her fellow dead. The Shape held in its hands a huge black and red sword, Then it moved to smite the Devil, but somehow it gave its place away, the devil move so fast she could not see, spinning it held in its hand a small bird.

“Do you think you could get me like that hell hound” The small thing In its hands screamed and the one with the sword stopped dead.

Why is he not moving

Rose thought, and then she could see, he had become stone. “Silly little hell hound”, the devil said, “he should know better than to send the likes of you, such and insult,” then its head high it screamed “if he wants ME! He can come himself” with one move of its tail it smashed Stone form.

Rosa closed her eyes as the rubble fell around her, she could hear the Devil had gone back to its meal. When she opened her eyes again, the pain was grater, but she could also see that the hounds sword had fallen by her side. She looked at it, it was a work of art, the runes on it seemed to flow and shift, so pretty, slowly she moved her hand to touch them.
“Arr” a voice said in her head “who do we have her, weak and small but there is room for improvment, you are one with a soul, but life yet, you must do”

They found her 2 days later, Still holding the Sword in the Back of the Dead Devil.

"This one is mine now" Said the sword "Make her whole once more and send her to me"

So it was Rosa life as a Hound of Hell Started

heh, I feel dumb. Somehow my eyes and brain kept skipping over all the green dice roll numbers, and I just now went "oh. duh. format a dice roll here instead of finding a dice roller program. HA. so YEAH, my "way-over-my-head" moment should be over now.

RPG Superstar Season 9 Top 32

Okay, so let me apply more formally here.
Name: Harken Regulus
Race: Tiefling (core)
Age: 60 + 8d6 + 8 ⇒ 60 + (3, 2, 5, 3, 6, 5, 3, 2) + 8 = 97 years
Alignment: Lawful Neutral
Class breakdown: Abjurer 6 / Riftwarden 10
Role filled: Arcane
Background: Harken was a Tiefling in Cheliax, and that has heavily influenced his development. Exceptionally intelligent and quite strong-willed, he was able to overcome the prejudice and become an accomplished wizard, but throughout his life he has thoroughly hated his heritage and the obstacles he faced just for having a trace of outsider blood in his veins.
He has come to the logical conclusion that his 'condition' would not be possible if outsiders would not arrive onto the Material Plane, and devoted the rest of his life to researching the means to stop planar travel.
His discoveries were noted by a secretive interplanar group called Riftwardens, whose goals seemed to align with Harken's. So he began rising in the ranks, but to this day he still doesn't know who leads the Riftwardens and what is their ultimate purpose. That makes him question his loyalty, but so far he has not seriously thought of becoming a renegade.
He gladly accepted the mission to stop the Insatiable Queen, as it was quite obvious her activities were a violation of the natural planar cosmology. The task didn't mention specifically that the Azlanti portal had to be destroyed too, but Harken had his own opinion on that...

Stats (20 pt. buy+level bonuses):

Mystery: Heavens

Curse: Blackened

Background:

Jaeger never asked for for life. He was going to be a money changer, like his father and uncle, but one sleepless night changed his life forever. Jaeger was eight when it happened. He was sick and had slept all day, so he wasn’t sleepy when night came. The rest of his family was fast asleep in their house, but Jaeger had given up on sleep. He had climbed onto the roof to look at the stars. Suddenly, the sky lit up like it was on fire, brighter than even at midday. Jaeger looked up and a flaming ball streaked across the sky, crashing to the ground. Jaeger had seen falling stars before and he thought this must be what it was. Jaeger looked around, but no one seemed to have woken. He climbed down from the roof and ran through the town, trying to locate the fallen star.

On the edge of town, on Farmer Gustav’s land, Jaeger found a huge crater. In the center was the star. It was near the size of a horse and still glowing as Jaeger approached it. Jaeger felt a strange calm as he approached the piece of the heavens, almost being drawn to it. As he approached, he could feel the heat of the still smoldering piece of sky, yet he was undetered. He needed to get closer. Finally, Jaegar reached the star. The star was giving off waves of heat and was so bright Jaegar had to close his eyes to protect them. The young boy reached out with both of his arms and touched the burning star.

His screams are what brought the farmer and his wife to his aid. No one know how long he was touching it, but by the time the farmer reached him, the star had cooled and become a simple, but large piece of rock. Jaegar’s arms and hands, however, were charred, blackened, and nearly useless. Several in the town suggested they simply be cut off, but Jaeger refused. Slowly, feeling came back to his limbs, but the damage was done and he found it difficult to hold things tightly ever again.

The more dramatic change was not with Jaeger’s arms though. The young man himself was changed. He would wander endlessly throughout the nights, constantly looking up at the sky. He was uneasy in any place with a full roof and soon his parents cut away holes in his room, so Jaeger could see the sky. Jaeger was rarely cold and fires sometimes flared up in his presence. His mother would often find him asleep with a strange, shimmering covering over him like a blanket of stars that would disappear as soon as she touched it. Some claimed he was mad, some that he was possessed, and other that he was touched by the gods. Jaeger never refuted them, though he did feel a special touch when he offered prayers to Sarenae and Pharasma, and especially Desna. Still, all the priests could not explain him, though the priests of Desna claimed he had touched her soul.

Jaeger grew older and quickly had to leave his home. He followed the endless sky and it brought him to many places. He learned to explore his gifts and harness them. He joined adventurers to stop plagues; he fought beside the Dawn Scouts at the Battle of Highring; he guided Sir Gavin Kilroy through the forests of nightmares; and he served as counsel to Lord Virgil Shelton. When the Insatiable Queen began to move her forces through the portal, the heavens called out to Jaeger to stop her.

Name: Mordecai
Race: teifling
Age: 30
Alignment: NE
Class break down: Alchemist 16 (chirurgeon)
Role filled*: Support + Backup Heals or Arcane Blasting
Background:

Spoiler:

Mordecai grew up being treated poorly as a result of his evil lineage. He did what he could to prove himself useful, and as a result of his thirst for knowledge and his steady hand, he became known as quite the surgeon. He proved to be more than willing to try experimental procedures on subjects to further his knowledge, but it was always tempered with the fact that he was trying to help them. Unfortunately, things did not always work out, and his subjects rarely consented beforehand. As such, he was forced to move from country to country in order to facilitate his studies. In lean times, he has even performed experiments on his own body, resulting in an extra set of arms and a sentient tumor, among other less noticeable modifications.

Word of his absolute skill, dedication, and above all absolute discretion has spread though. This has garnered him some high-profile clients who had certain maladies they wanted fixed in secret.

Ok Rosa Items are done that's in spend and the core things. Rest is lose change and odd things But her core slots are now taken.

She a Hound of Hell and Her cursed intelligent Lawful Evil (LE) Rune sword "Dark Contract" is part of that role GM. They act as one most of the time, not it has an Ego of 14 so it dos and will take over Rose from time to time. hehe

Sczarni

OK, I stand corrected. profile lost some info when I first posted it.

NOW full info is on my profile. enjoy.

Dotting for interest. I will probably be running this for my group in the future, so would be great to play first.

dice rolls:

4d6 ⇒ (2, 2, 3, 6) = 13=11
4d6 ⇒ (3, 6, 3, 6) = 18=15
4d6 ⇒ (4, 6, 3, 6) = 19=16
4d6 ⇒ (6, 6, 4, 5) = 21=17
4d6 ⇒ (1, 1, 3, 2) = 7=6
4d6 ⇒ (3, 1, 3, 5) = 12=11

Odd rolls. Might still do 20pt buy. I might level-up an existing character concept I got for PFS to test him out higher level. Crunch and background coming in a bit.

Dark Archive

As a GM in two long-term campaigns I'd love to play again for a change.

rolling...

Spoiler:

4d6 ⇒ (6, 4, 1, 3) = 14=13
4d6 ⇒ (2, 1, 4, 3) = 10=9
4d6 ⇒ (5, 5, 2, 4) = 16=14

4d6 ⇒ (4, 2, 3, 1) = 10=9
4d6 ⇒ (5, 5, 4, 3) = 17=14

that's just an Abyssal mess. I'm going for point buy then.

Name: Aerol
Race: Human
Age: 33
Alignment: CN
Class break down: Ranger 8 / Fighter 6 / Rogue 2?
Role filled: Tank

Background (work in progress) :

It looks like Tank role hasn't been taken yet so I'm setting up a clever fighter with a big mouth (for taunting) and even bigger armor (for cashing the big mouth's cheques).

I expect he may swear a bit (Lamashtu's breasts, just look at the size of that thing!) - feel free to let me know if he should have a more ...sensitive stress-reliever.

Veteran of the Giant wars, [i.e. Rise of the Runelords] Aerol is convinced nothing can surprise him anymore. He no longer fears pain, or death, having seen both in his time. He has become a very efficient warrior, but the way the common folks seem to make dangerous jobs float his way, can annoy him greatly; there must be more capable folks around the coast.

TODO background, character stats, gear

DM Mathpro, would you allow the Prestige class Duelist to be applied to a Gunslinger with a revolver or pepperbox? I had a submission posted that will not work well in retrospect and came up with an idea that I like much better.

Name: Maxis Torridon
Race: Human
Age: 32
Alignment: NG
Class Break Down:Gunslinger (Pistolero)11/ Duelist 5
Role Filled: Close Combat Support
Background:

Draw!:

Maxis lives for the duel, but not in the way that most on Golarion do. Coming up hard and quick on the streets of Alkenstar, Maxis learned the way of the gun better than nearly any other on the faace of the planet. As a follower of Calistra, the thrillseeking adventurer felt the breath of his matron upon his neck urging him to move north. Gathering the tools of his trade, Torridon headed for this fastest ship he could find. Keeping his skills sharp all along the way more than one man was left with a smoking hole in his skull or perforations from his lightning fast dagger.

Those who pose no threat often find the man to be of a rather amiable sort. Often found at the center of any tavern playing a tune on his harmonica or telling a story of his many deeds with knife and gun, Maxis will do all that he can to avoid the unnecessary killing of a man. But should it come time to kill, kill he will and ith great efficancy.

A great travelling companion, Torridon is sure to keep spirits light even in the heat of battle. The road is often as hard as the fights at the end of them and this is a lesson well learned. Happy to place himself between the strongest opponents and his friends as any good duelist should, the mobile nature of his style truly begins to shine. More than once his feet being as fast as his hands have saved the him from the literal jaws of death. Those who have survived a combat with him tell only of flashing steel and a dull thump followed by the smell of hell fire. Often the dead have only a harrow card laid upon them, a reminder to some and an invitation to others who seek to make a name for themselves.

Super pumped about it, so couldn't resist to make 2 characters, so here they are. Preference for the first one if only considering 1. Profile and statblocks linked!

Name: Mel'narok
Race: Dwarf (Osiriani)
Age: Unknown (thousands)
Alignment: LN (pretty unconcerned with good/evil, probably skirts evil)
Class Break Down: Fighter 6/Living Monolith 10
Role Filled: Frontline fighter, sponge, semi-tank

Background:
Mel'narok is a surely dwarf, one who has seen many wars since his birth in Osirion. Born to a small clan of dwarves serving the mysterious Sphinxes, guardians of Osirion, he followed his father footsteps as guardian and defender of the Osiriani ways.

After his father's death, he swore to become more than just a guardian, and join the elite ranks of the Living Monoliths. With him and his clan having cleansed their appointed land of all crime and unruly inhabitants, Mel'narok rose and eventually earned his right to acquire a Master Ka Stone. After his final ritual, for some unknown reason, he turned to stone and could not re-awaken from his petrified state.

Mel'narok's imprisonment ended much more recently, when Osirion's walls were once again opened to explorers. A group of Pathfinders found the tomb he was guarding, and upon disabling a trap nearby Mel'narok's spell was lifted. Turining back to flesh, he learned much from the years that had passed since the Osiriani empire. Without his old master's guidance, he has decided to leave Osirion. He has heard tales of other dwarves, born of mountains instead of deserts. Caverns instead of tombs. To that end he has taken his hammer, and adventured forth towards Absalom.

Name: Viscountess Nelyna Rellos
Race: Human
Age: 26
Alignment: CG
Class Break Down: Bard 15/Oracle (of Lore) 1
Role Filled: Ranged support, knowledge master, party face

Background:
Nelyna was born and raised in Tian-Xia. She left at a young age to travel the world, finding herself quickly in the Inner Sea. She found the culture in Taldor the most amusing, and decided to betray her native land to become a spy in the Pathfinder Society and Tian-Xia for the Taldan empire. She quickly rose through the ranks, having an innate ability for diplomacy and charms.

The Tien-Xia empire eventually learned of her deception and sent her brother, the Paladin Thorne, to retrieve her sister and come back to answer for her crimes. After years of searching, Thorne finally encountered his siste, and took her to the local state's justice. Unfortunately for Nelyna, this state was Cheliax.

As pennance for her crimes to her country, Nelyna was sentenced to serve a Chelish house and eventually was freed by signing a contract with a powerful Devil (her Oracle curse). Nelyna has returned now to the Pathfinder Society, and now with her "crimes" to Tian-Xia paid, can work openly for Taldor.

Ok. I have made the changes to Kalim Al-Rajhi. So far I like how this is working. The downside is having to do all of it manually and top that with a class that I have to scour to make sure I am getting everything. Fortunately I have a pdf form that auto calculates all the variables that I enter in it.

I do look forward to when they get Paths of Prestige going in Hero Lab. I would have had the crunch done by now.

Let me know if I missed anything Mathpro.

Since this is a higher level campaign and higher level characters take a little more effort to throw together I am going to only require a rough sketch of your character for the selection process. I will need the following information:

Name: Kathleen (Katie) Eaglefeather.
Race: Half-Orc, but not like you know them.
Age: 24
Alignment: N/G
Class break down: Druid & Loremaster.
Role filled*: Medic focus, with some use as a counter-speller and fortune-teller.
Background: Part of a tribe of good-aligned Orc druids who live on a secret island. She left that island for her vision quest, which she never quite had. Instead, she gained a wealth of experience and knowledge over her three years between now and then. Now she feels she's ready to go home and take her rightful place in the druidic academies, but her powers as a tarot reader and seer keep warning her of a growing evil...

Some of her scores are a bit higher than the 20 pt. buy method, but that's because I used her gold to buy magic items to enhance those scores.

PM GM

Sovereign Court

Here's my idea!

Name: Hilt the Handless Blade
Race: Human(Talden)
Age: 32
Alignment: CN
Class Breakdown: Fighter(Free Hand Fighter)-6/Duelist-10
Role: Tank/Melee

Background:
There is many stories on how the mysterious Hilt lost his right hand (Eaten by a dragon, lost in the pit fights, and so on.) The story that sticks out the most that he was a famous swordsman that took a dive and they took his hand. It explains the bitter and antisocial behavior he displays, he takes on any so called champion and shows that even without his hand he can take out any one with his scizore. Maybe this jungle will prove worthy challenge for his blade for he is the hilt for his scizore's blade.

BTW, MathPro - I have finished up my character.. everything is in the profile - basic info (name, race, etc) already previously submitted, but here it is again:

name: Akime Hinamura
race: Human (Tian)
age: 28
alignment: NG
classes: Magus 15/Sorc 1
role: melee, minor magic

NG, CG, LG, CN, TN, O so much sickeningly goody goody and on the fence neutral, 'Shudder'.

Name: Tiran Collab
Race: Human(Taldan)
Age: 35
Class: Fighter(Two-Weapon)
Role: Melee
NG

Backstory:

Tiran was born in Zimar, and spent the first few years of his career serving Taldor, hunting Qadiran bandits in the Border Wood with his brother, Doritian. After leaving the Phalanx, he and Doritian set off as mercenaries, gaining a reputation around the coasts of the Inner Sea battling pirates and fighting minor border wars. One fateful trip to Mediogalti Island cost Tiran his left eye and almost found him sold to Geb. Only with his brother's help were he and the surviving members of their crew saved from certain undeath. On the voyage home, a fellow passenger mentioned stories of a mountain exploding in the Mindspin Mountains. Curiosity piqued, they set off to see the sight themselves. Unfortunately, one night Tiran was startled awake by the sounds of a struggle. He left the tent to find his brother gone, snatched away in the dark by forces unknown, leaving only his falcata behind. Tiran took it up, determined to find his brother.

Chaotic Good is hardly goody goody. I happen to like that alignment the best. That and Neutral Evil.

actually the most evil character i ever played started the game out at level 3. over the course of many, many sessions he turned from N to LE thanks to in-game events.

Okay guys looks like we're still getting characters coming in on this. I want to thank those of you who put in the time to develop your characters a little further than what I asked you to do...I know when things get this high it takes a lot more time to scour all the books to get everythign you want.

I will start reviewing characters probably tomorrow...I'd do it today but I have my girlfriends dog in the car and I figure he doesn't want to melt while I sit here and get my nerd on.

Oh that reminds me...I don't have internet access at home right now so I use the internet at a local library so I won't be as available as other DM's but I still manage to post a couple times a week(try for daily but sometimes life happens). Just a heads up...

The Exchange

Buy the dog some Icecream from DQ and it'll be happy.

On another note, yay! Happy Pickings.

Not sure if too late yet, but here's my concept:

Name: Jeial
Race: Human(Tian)
Age: 28
Alignment: LN
Class Breakdown: Fighter(Unarmed Fighter) 4 / Monk (Qinggong) 12
Role: Support

Background:

Spoiler:
Raised in one of the many monasteries dotting the landscape of Jalmeray after he was found as an infant on the beach after a large storm, Jeial found himself in a conundrum. While not nearly as strong as many of the other students, or as dextrous, he was still expected to participate and win in mock duels. It was after one of these duels that an older student took pity on him and reminded him how much of an advantage it was for an opponent to be without a weapon, bound or fallen. In this manner, Jeial gravitated toward the use of the Kusarigama, a weapon which n the right hands could greatly assist with all of those statuses.

Aside from the combat skills learned, Jeial dove into learning about the nature of the universe and other planes. <to be continued>

No worry's GM I know the feeling of Inter-weby loss in my old uni days, and cool Tenro another evil PC offered up, but whats this do I spy neutral, come let Rose show you how to embrace your true wickedness and let that silly shame slip away, as you become who you really are, be proud of your malevolence show it to one and all and say to them "this is who I am" just as push them into them all pit.

even more maniacal laughter... etc

Pathfinder Adventure Path, Lost Omens, Rulebook Subscriber

Much as I would really like to put in for this, I am bowing out. There is just too much going on right now & every time I try & work up Toth it seems there is something else that requires doing more.

Everyone have fun.

its true he is neutral. Mordecai is really on the fence, just on the side of evil. its more of a consequentialism thing than anything, he views laws regarding safe medical practices (where they even exist) as an infringement on his pursuit of knowledge. he isnt a slaughterer, he does try to keep his patients alive. but sometimes he likes to see what he can do with the body to improve it.

"just as push them into them all pit."

See that, thats a 'M' and 'ALL' slipping in where they should not be,
"cause you tiny Ipad"

heh its all good, i am fluent in autocorrect

okay guys I'm going to close this a day early as I feel we have enough choices for me to make my selections. I have been reading through the characters and I have selected my party of 6. Thats right I've decided to run with two extra person.

Will the following people join me in the discussion thread once I get it posted:

Rosa Luminass
Jaeger Frunte
Hosheck "the Redeemed" Darkheart
Tiran Collab
Telcia Dremen
Lyle Rihannsu

Okay discussion thread is up. Everyone selected please post. For those of you who weren't selected I'm sorry and better luck next time. I might be starting up another higher level game in the near future but I need to see what kind of time I have to dedicate to it.

I sent you a PM Mathpro.
