Introductions

Miranda barely suppresses a giggle. "I'll ready an invoice if I see them again!" But that does remind her that she is probably all covered in blood underneath her illusion and she concentrates a bit, making her head hurt a bit more, and casts a Prestidigitation spell to start cleaning herself up.

Room!

Once ontop of the bed Miranda's illusion fades away. Remarkably the half-tiefling is mostly not-covered-in-blood-and-grime! But that doesn't mean she didn't enjoy being fuzzed about by the freckled (and a bit distant?) woman. She doesn't really seem all right? Miranda pondered, but she wasn't really sure what to do about it yet. Maybe some rest will help? So she merely enjoyed the moment of grooming and instead settled for studying the bird-man and his bird-friend as they revealed themselves. Bird-man and Boros had mumbled something about sewing earlier - something she was glad she didn't need - so she hadn't really paid much attention to them after getting inside the room. But this is sorta cool! Perking up when she saw Varuzhan stretch his wings, recognition flashed over Miranda's eyes.

"Oh! I met a sword once that talked of your kind! *Eh*..." she trailed off. But I don't think what he called them would be polite to repeat!
________________

And when the food arrives Miranda finally lets poor Lily stop grooming her and bounces down from her claimed bed. She snatches a few of the more exciting looking fruits and chewy looking dried meats as well as toothpicks and a mug of the spirit. First she returns most of the stuff to her spot before heading over to the waste bucket and starts picking threads and thin slices of something fleshy from between her teeth. As a finish she quickly gargles a bit of the spirit and disposes of it into the bucket. When she returns to her bed she is in high spirits and starts snacking on the claimed food.

"Better! So much better!"

Appraise: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (5) + 8 = 13

I'll admit I had to peek at the Appraise spoiler this time :P (And I should have just taken 10! But I just had to know which bottle to use as glorified mouthwash even if Miranda didn't :P

In that case, simply alter the post to having taken 10, since you figured yourself that you can do that inmediately after posting.

Miranda would still go for that bottle. But now with added appreciation of the rest of the mug she poured - and the knowledge that she would probably not get to do that again :P

Unless our rebel friend decides to bankroll us again some time ^^

Varuzhan takes the offered food, finding it delicious! He had no understanding of its provenance, but it was definitely of high quality. "Strange that we're being treated so well. Does she owe you a favor, Lady Aulamaxa?" Varuzhan also feeds some of the food to Lore, before escorting him outside, and asking him to keep watch.

"As for the man we rescued, there's a possibility he will wake up soon, even in his state. I believe Nissim will be administering the man his own healing draught to help that process."

*Edit* - I've never tried to look up these rules, but here's the rule on consciousness at negative HP:

Paizo PRD wrote:
Recovering with Help: One hour after a tended, dying character becomes stable, the character must make a DC 10 Constitution check to become conscious. The character takes a penalty on this roll equal to his negative hit point total. Conscious characters with negative hit point totals are treated as disabled characters. If the character remains unconscious, he receives another check every hour to regain consciousness. A natural 20 on this check is an automatic success. Even if unconscious, the character recovers hit points naturally. He automatically regains consciousness when his hit points rise to 1 or higher.

"Not me personally, but perhaps my Matron, Lady Eldonna, I've seen the two together before." Juliette answers the bird man, Varuzhan without reservation. "But the Madame can be trusted, I assure you, you could even say that her business depends on others trusting her." She found it a little odd that the man would think Juliette was owed a favor simply because of the food and bedding, hadn't the Madame said that the unconscious man would pay for it?

"When he does awaken, I'm certain we will all have questions for him." Juliette adds, watching the man and waiting.

Now fortified with food and warmed with spirits Miranda started to feel good again. Exactly whom or why they had gotten this help didn't interest her so much; she was more curios as to hear the man's story once he woke up! So in the meanwhile she attempted to fix what she could - or try at least. With a big grin she offered her cup of strong stuff and one of the more funny looking fruits to her groomer. Sure she *could* probably get some herself really easy, but it was the thought that counted right?

Boros very carefully ignores the glowy things as they flit about his person, leaving his underclothes considerably cleaner than they were previously. The cuts that indicate where a couple of Chelish swordstrokes managed to avoid his armor are still present, though not looking anywhere near as severe now that the blood around them has been removed.

When the glowy things also give his armor and other gear a quick pass, he clamps down hard on the urge to swat them away from it and instead focuses on getting his healing kit unpacked, recognizing that even by his rough standards such a thing would be incredibly rude.

The arrival of food after he joins Varuzhan at the rebel's bedside perks Boros up momentarily, and finding a pot of tea accompanied by sugar has him almost dancing with happiness. He quickly pours a measure of tea into one of the uncomfortably fine cups made available, heaps a disturbing amount of sugar into the hot fluid, then stirs it thoroughly before setting the cup out of the way to cool.

Good humor restored, he resumes readying his kit for the work ahead, though Boros is occasionally distracted by the half-elf's fussing about as she aids the undisguised Miranda in cleaning herself off--those glowy lights apparently weren't full service--and it takes effort to focus his attention where it belongs; even in his worn state, he's still male enough to be distracted by the sight of one pretty female wiping another down, and their current location doesn't help any either in that regard. However, this is not even close to being a good time for that sort of thing, and Boros forces his attention back into line; the day's events have taken their toll on his mental sharpness, and he finds it uncomfortably easy to let his thoughts wander.

As he waits for Varuzhan to return from his errand with his owl, Boros looks at Juliette, having noted her refusal of treatment. "No miss, ya will be gettin' taken care of," Boros says in a serious tone of voice. "If ya got hurt, ya get tended, that's how it goes." He points, in turn, at every member of the group, as well as the rebel in the bed before him as he explains his reasoning to her, and the rest of the group by extension. "We're, every one of us, on the short list of people the authorities have problems with now. Safe shelter like this will be rare, but fights won't be. And that little injury ya pass off, that could be the one that makes the difference between stayin' up or goin' down if an enemy gets lucky."

Pausing for a breath, Boros blushes faintly as he realizes he may have gotten a bit intense about his explanation, but he doesn't stop. "It's yer duty, to yerself and the rest o' us now, to make sure that yer always in the best o' health when ya have the means to see to it. And we have the means," he says while pointing at himself, Varuzhan's momentarily-vacant seat, Nissim, and Lily. "And for the moment, we also have a safe place and time to spare."

Boros then takes a good look at Juliette's bow. "To put it in a way that maybe matters more to ya, if the string on yer bow took a cut, would ya just pass it off as nothing to worry about? Or would ya check that string over at the first chance ya had, doing what ya needed to keep that minor damage from becoming a life-threatening failure in battle?"

After Varuzhan returns from dropping off his little owl friend outside, apparently to serve as a watchbird, Boros speaks up from his spot at one side of the rebel's bed. "Well Varuzhan, we need to figure which o' us is to be stitchin' this fella up. Hardly the time to whip it out and measure, so to speak," and at these words, he pauses to look around with a grin. "Though the place is suited to that, I'll grant," he says as an aside before getting back to the actual subject. "But I've got 5 years o' trainin' and experience as a military healer, with an obvious focus on injuries taken in combat. You?"

Miranda also took the opportunity to remove her daggers - they were somewhat uncomfortable to sit on! She also managed to slip out an small steel plate that had covered her lower torso from underneath her dress. She dumped the weapons at the end of the bed and then carefully removed her boots and stretched her toes. Now! Almost really good again!

Lily works through everything quietly and ignores the food, as she works on fussing over the others; even if they had been cleaned by the pixies. Once all of that was done, she headed over to the bed that would be her sisters, were this her room, and sits down on it, turning onto her side to face the group and sliding one arm under the pillow to just watch. She was aware of the buckler, and of her own armor, but there wasn't really an opportunity to worry about the latter... and she'd get to the former when she got to it. Once the healers began healing, she watched patiently all of the things they were doing. Concentrating on +2 to heal.

Juliette looks over Boros as he gives his little speech. "In that case, you have a moral obligation to the rest of us to rest, you nearly died out there, whereas I will be almost good as new after a good night's rest. This is not as if my bowstring took a cut, or even a nick, no weapon touched me today. You should be more concerned with yourself as you almost bled out." She had a bit of a temper about having a man who was near mortally wounded treat her insignificant wounds, if this soldier was that worried about the well being of the group, he should focus more on those who are heavily injured rather then herself.

"I'd sooner tie you to the bed and force you to rest then let you exert yourself on my behalf." She added with a look of determination addressing the soldier. "And I'm certain I can obtain the materials for tying you to your bed, fairly easily here of all places."

Varuzhan is frankly annoyed that Lore becomes so immediately fearful. Even though he also has some concern. "My owl companion, Lore, is scared. There might be patrols in the area. Let's hope the madness dies down." Varuzhan weighs going back outside to retrieve Lore, but decides not to do so, unless Lore's fear becomes unmitigated panic, he feels pain, or experiences some other sort of dramatic change.

As Boros talks about his years of medical experience, Varuzhan just shakes his head. "Five years of battlefield training teaches you nothing. What do you know about disease, poison, infection? What of medicines?" He waves him off. "At least you won't kill anyone. Do what you will, I'll get some rest. Wake me if our patient stirs."

With that, Varuzhan appears content to choose the nearest bed and settle down for sleep.

Will retrieve his owl and memorize Infernal Healing x2 after resting.

Miranda watches the minor medical drama unfold between Boros, Varuzhan and Juliette, snickering loudly as she heard the latest comment. The fact that 'unknown-freckled-woman' hadn't been interested in either conversation or food still worried her a bit; but as she had been petted she returned the favour by not poking at it anymore at the moment. And resisted the minor urge to flick one of the smaller fruits at her. And that might come off as a little wrong! Sadly it seems as her amusement was interrupted by Varuzhan's announcement that his companion was afraid.

"Hmm. Probably..." She glanced down at her satchel. "... this place was warded right? There are already plenty of magic so it makes sense." Still, not really knowing what was going on was taxing. It's like standing at the back of a crowd when everyone is 'oooh-ing' and 'ahhhhh-ing' or yelling in terror ... "Want me to check it out? I think I can manage another veil* ..."

"Sure," agrees Varuzhan. "If you're up for exploring, take a peek outside. You'll blend in better than I would. Let Lore back in if he wants to come. He is wise and will know whether he should return."

As Varuzhan mentions his owl's state of mind, and the prospect that it may be the result of patrols, Boros nods thoughtfully. "Be more surprised if there weren't any patrols out and about after that brawl, though it's awfully quick for any to get this far."

When Varuzhan then questions the scope of Boros' experience, he takes a moment to think before responding. "Quite a bit more than ya might suspect, I'll wager. Those damnable Wastes love breedin' horrors that kill with plague, toxin, and rot just as much as they spew forth the usual fanged and clawed monstrosities. And out there, everyone--soldiers, settlers, and bandits alike--has to be able to do at least the basics, because magic is too risky to trust in."

Boros is pretty calm about his explanation, recognizing that Varuzhan's pride as a professional had been challenged. "So yes, it's just battlefield healin', but it comes from a place where that's generally the only kind to be had, and ya get good at it, or ya get dead."

As he waves Nissim over to aid him with the rebel, Juliette's snapping response has Boros' jaw drop in amazement. He certainly hasn't expected her to return fire like that, and the shock eventually gives way to pained laughter which he quickly stiffles. "Fair enough, and a point well-scored. But my own point was that everyone gets tended to, regardless o' how minor an injury may be. I'll have either o' these two workin' me over soon enough, no worries on that account," Boros replies with a nod in the direction of Nissim and Varuzhan, "and I'm sure one of them will gladly see to ya as well when they're done puttin' me back together, if ya insist."

He then gives her a sly grin as he responds to her threat. "And there's no doubt in my mind that such things will be in yer hand before the request is even finished. But really, if ya want to do that sort o' thin' with me, ya need only ask. No need to make such an excuse for it."

As he turns to the rebel, he can't stop himself from signing, just loud enough to be heard by everyone else, a little rhyme he'd picked up in another bawdy house years back. "Sticks and stones may break my bones, but whips and chains excite me. So tie me down, and beat me up, and show me that you like me.

Making Heal check to treat deadly wounds on the rebel. Adding the healer's kit bonus, aid another bonus from Nissim (contingent on his making it successfully, of course), and bonus from Lily's ability. This takes 1 hour, and two healer's kit uses.

Heal (Take 10): 10 + 7 + 2 + (2) + 2 = 23 (or 21, depending on Nissim). Success! Mr. Rebel recovers 1 hp per level that he has. Alas, Boros fell just shy of demonstrating his medical brilliance. but vows to redouble his training, and acquire a fine set of surgeon's tools as well.

Making Heal check to provide long-term care to the rebel. No taking 10 here, but the same modifiers as previous apply.
Heal: 1d20 + 7 + 2 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 7 + 2 + 2 + 2 = 21
Another success! 8 hours of sleep will give Mr. Rebel 4 more hp per level.

After more than an hour of intense effort, Boros leans back from the rebel's bed, vertebrae and joints popping in succession as he loosens and stretches them. During his work, Nissim had proven to be incredibly helpful, but Boros couldn't shake the feeling that someone or something else had been helping his efforts as well. Shaking the thought off as the result of fatigue, Boros gather the kit and makes his way to Miranda's bed. As Varuzhan was still asleep, she was next in need of some healing.

Nissim is very impressed with the selection of food and drink provided. It price of it would probably feed the average family for a couple of months or more. He selects a couple of pieces of fruit that he's heard of but never actually seen before along with some more mundane items and eats them as he writes a small list out.

He hands the list over to the gnome who brought the food. "I need the items on this list if you can possibly procure them. It's mostly a selection of common chemicals and compounds, likely in your kitchen or pantry. Also a few sealable glass vials."

"While it may not be as much to our benefit, the curative potion this man was carrying is his property, and he likely meant it for his own use. I don't believe it is ethical for us to confiscate it from him and substitute less expensive, slower healing methods because we can when he can't tell us his preference. Who has it?"

Nissim then assists the Boros with looking to people's wounds.

If Miranda wants to object read Boros' gun, the hour and change he spends patching up the rebel would be a great time for her to nip over to his gear and do so. He's completely focused on what he's doing and wouldn't notice at all.

After Boros takes a seat beside Miranda, opposite of Nissim, he pauses in readying the kit and looks around curiously for several moments. Then, with a groan of frustration, he gets up and returns to the rebel's bed. The reason is soon apparent as he returns with a cup of tea, untouched and long cold, in hand. The temperature, or rather its lack, doesn't seem to be an issue as Boros drains roughly half the contents in one long sip.

"Now that hit the spot rather nicely," he says as he carefully sets the cup down on the floor at his side, near enough to reach with a slightly lean, but otherwise well out the way. "Nothing satisfies quite like tea, properly sweetened, o' course. As Boros resumes readying the healing kit, he hums thoughtfully. "Glad that silly bugger o' a paracount didn't decide that drinkin' tea needed one o' his daft laws.

He smiles at Miranda, a bit of nervousness evident in his demeanor. "I'll need ya to undress a bit. Nothin' much, just to get to yer injuries and such. Soldier's oath, I'll be keepin' my eyes and hands purely on business." Boros then turns his attention to Nissim while flexing his fingers to loosen them up. "Whenever yer ready, I'll get started.

But instead of sneaking back outside like she had offered Miranda pulled up her legs and wrapped her arms around them. From underneath her dress a small tail with a pointy triangle at the end joined in the halfling-wrap. "But if they have hounds searching that illusion won't help ..." She continued and sighed. Being somewhere nice and not knowing what was going on was probably better then knowing what was going on and being chases by hounds! And the food here is nice too. Better then being food! she thought absent-mindedly and studied one of the strange fruits closer.

Sounds good : )

"Oh?" Miranda looked up when Boros addressed her, having seemingly been lost in thoughts for a long while. She blinked and looked at Boros for a while before perking up and grinning.

"Okay then Mr. Soldier, I will hold you to that!"

With a small grunt she quickly pulled her dress over her head and dumped it in Boros lap. Underneath she looked pretty much like any ordinary halfling in her underwear except for her tail - and the gun her tail was now wrapped around. Her tail twitched a little and dumped the gun as well into the gunslingers lap. Ohh I wonder if he will actually turn red like a tomato - or more like a cherry? With a devilish grin she started fumbling with the strings of her underwear as well and laughed.

"Thank you for the loan! Do I need to remove this as well?" She paused for a tiny little moment and giggled. With a small cough and surprising willpower she managed to keep her face straight for a moment to add and then went back to giggling. "And you do know they pretty much only bumped me on the head right?"

During the treatment, you find your patient is a middle-aged man sporting a trimmed beard. His clothing, once cleaned by the witchlights, seems to be of rather high quality.
Not a noblemans outfit, but possible a scholars, or merchants. Nobody any of you ever saw, though. As time passes and others are treated, he seems to slightly moan in pain now and then, stirring a bit, but he does not wake. While you care well for him, he simply lost a lot of blood, which takes it's toll.

Lore remains fearful for almost an hour, and the gnome girl does not return with the contents of Nissim's list until much later, either, eternally cheerful when she does return:"Ok, Mister, I got almost everything you wrot....oh, I hope I'm not interrupting something there!", she smiles as Miranda is teasing Boros playing around with her underwear..."Ah, Lass, I'd love to see what you can do with that tail of yours, but I'm needed upstairs again. Some patrol with hounds came earlier, looking for fugitives, made some fuss about submitting to their rules and searching the whole place. Madame obliged them, and led them straight to a room with an Inquisition Noble who intended to stay overnight, with booked twins. My infernal is a bit rusty but I think between the cursing was something about "sewer duty". Either way, the whole thing took quite some smoothing over and it was a bit chaotic upstairs, but I think they learned that nobody forces Madame to do anything without regretting that shortly after.", she gleefully explains.
Shortly after, Lore relaxes again. While there is no means to measure the passing of time, you estimate you have been here sufficiently long for the curfew to be in effect, soon. If you intended to stay longer, you would probably be done with your chores and plans, soon, and settle down for the night.
Basically I wanted to let you do some RP among yourselves, until you decide to go to sleep, or provide sufficient healing for your guest to wake up(followed by talking with him)...alas, I think we could move on to the next morning. If nobody states anything to the contrary, I will assume you all went to bed eventually, some finding sleep easier, some harder, but in the end, all rested.
Today was a harsher day, with overtime in work, and my baby not settling down. As such, I'm glad I could do a shorter post before going to bed. Alas, that means if it is possible tomorrow, I will try and update sometime during my day.(just as aviso) :)

Typo on my part. Meant 8 hours rest, but typed hp gain for complete rest instead.

Immediate plans:
Boros intends (edit: with Nissim's help) to finish treating Miranda's injuries--and get his flaming embarrassment back under control--which is an hour for the deadly wound part and whatever for long-term care part. He'll then turn himself over to Nissim to get patched up and "long-termed" as well, for one more hour and whatever of work. Then he's checking out to sleep, after suggesting that Nissim look at Juliette and Lily if they'll let him.

Further edit: Given the group's state right now, and the high prospect of encountering a patrol if they leave--those dogs likely tracked over to the bawdy house for a reason--Boros would strongly be in support of getting at least some basic healing done before leaving.

Boros's work with the halfling/tiefling is starting to get a little awkward so Nissim is glad the gnome girl returns when she does. It gives him a reason to get away from them and look through what he has to work with. It's looking unlikely he would be able to get the nine hours he would need to recover the spells he has used, and he is down to cantrips and three bombs.

I wonder why that potion has not yet been handed back. It's starting to look more like theft than holding the man's possessions while he's incapacitated. This isn't a case of a few coins from his pocket either. That potion is a special item that would be of great immediate benefit to the man. As much as I hate to, I will have to start searching possessions soon. I won't tolerate it being withheld from a patient.

Lily snuggles the pillow for several minutes, watching first the clean-up, then the tune-up that Boros performs on the Rebel, and then Miranda. The pair helped a lot more than they likely knew, distracting a pink-faced Lily, who did her best not to look directly at them as they flirted, from her darker thoughts. 'Love always finds a way... and even from the darkest of spaces, beauty can bloom.

Long before anyone can approach Lily to provide healing, she's fallen asleep with just the barest hint of a snore.

Boros flushes red from neck to hairline with startling speed, getting one very good--and quite unexpected--look at Miranda before he jerks his widened eyes away from her and locks them on a point somewhere on the far wall beyond Nissim's former seat. He barely notices when her tail snakes over and deposits his gun in his lap. He tries, and fails, a few times to speak before getting some words out. "No! No, no, no, you don't have to remove anythin' else, please don't remove anythin' else."

Eyes still locked on the far wall, he fumbles in his lap for a moment before getting her dress sorted out, which he quickly hands back to her. "Ya' could have mentioned that ya' only took a knock to the head, preferably before strippin' nearly to the skin. All I knew was that ya' got hit by that bastard with the mace."

Averting his eyes well away from Miranda while she--hopefully--gets dressed, Boros' gaze lands on Nissim, who seems engrossed in something the attendant brought. He calls over quietly, so as not to disturb Varuzhan, "If yer needin' a hand with anythin' yerself, just let me know. Least I can do in thanks for yer aid with all o' this healin'," Boros offers.

Nissim glances up at Boros for a second, then goes back to looking through the materials the gnome girl had delivered. "No thanks are necessary, it is my job I guess you could say."

He had noted that Boros seems to be curious about the supplies he had requested.

"I've exhausted my ability to cast spells today. Casting so much is draining. It requires substantial stamina, which I have exhausted. I'll need considerable rest, about nine hours, before I can cast any more. I'm not sure that I will be able to sleep enough here before we must move on. If I can't these materials should allow me to build a couple more bombs at least."

While he's talking to Boros, Nissim leaves off looking through the items and opens up one of his belt pouches. He reaches in and brings out a larger than average size rat with a mixture of brown and grey fur. Placing the rat on the table, he takes some pieces of food from the basket and breaks them apart. He places the bits on the table in front of the rat, who anxiously begins devouring them.

"Yes Lugo, this is probably just about the best day of your life, Eat up, I doubt we'll be seeing food this nice again anytime soon."

Boros perks up as he uses the kit's contents to treat Miranda's head wound, careful to ensure that her increasing drowsiness isn't the result of a concussion as he does so. "That's right, ya'd tossed a little somethin' at those bastards in the alley. Meant to talk to ya about that in some detail if the opportunity arose." As Boros considers Nissim's need to rest, an expression of disappointment crosses briefly over his face before he continues. "But that'll hold until tomorrow, I'll wager. Might not have time later, and while spells are hardly my thin', I know we'll all be better off for ya havin' 'em to hand if needed."

Taking a moment to carefully set his pistol--and just why had Miranda obsconded with it; he'd have to remember to ask her later--on the floor next to his tea, Boros shifts around to get a better angle on Miranda's head wound before he continues speaking. "And before ya decline with some comment about me needin' rest too, or treatin' for that matter, I'll point out that this'd hardly be the first time I've had to sit up, near dead, and keep watch on friends while they slumbered." He nods once in Varuzhan's direction as he speaks, "I can certainly hold out for both of those until Varuzhan's up and about, and maybe he'll even take over checkin' on those I've been workin' on, provided I can convince him that I wasn't talkin' down on his skills as a healer," Boros finishes with a wry grin.

"Before ya do bed down for the night, mind, I'd be right grateful if ya could spare one more hour o' yer eyes and hands over here. I'll admit that my wounds and exhaustion haven't left me at my best, even though I've had as bad before, and I could use the help to make sure I don't get crossed up or worse while workin' on Miranda."

Appraise: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (18) + 8 = 26

Psychometry (Appraise):
You can read the psychic impressions left on objects or in places by previous owners and events.

Check: Once per day, you can concentrate for 1 minute while in physical contact with an item or location, during which you receive flashes of insight regarding the subject's nature and ownership. After 1 minute, you attempt a DC 15 Appraise check to decipher the visions. You gain one piece of information about the historical significance or the last previous owner—such as a glimpse of the last owner's appearance or its emotional state when it last used the item—determined by the GM. You learn one more piece of information for every 10 by which your check result exceeds the DC, as long as you concentrate for 1 additional minute for each piece of information. If you fail the check by less than 5 or the item has no significant psychic imprint, you don't learn any information. If you fail this check by 5 or more, the item appears to be psychically significant even if it's not, and the information you gain is wildly inaccurate.

If you attempt to use psychometry on an item affected by charge object or implant false reading, you automatically learn all information imprinted by the spell. You must also attempt a Will save. If the item is affected by an implant false reading spell, on a success, you realize the information was false, and can determine the true information as well. On a failure, or if the item is affected by a charge object spell, you believe the information is true.

Action: Reading an object requires at least 1 minute of uninterrupted concentration.

Try Again: Yes. Multiple readings on an object or place always give the same results unless its circumstances or ownership have changed, but additional checks might reach further back into an object's history. You don't reroll the saving throw to determine if a psychic imprint is false.

You can still use psychometry only once per day

Contingent on Mordred allowing Nissim's check to be an aid another check as requested in-character by Boros instead of a straight heal check mistakenly presented by Nissim.
Heal (Take 10): 10 + 7 + 2 + 2 = 21. Miranda heals 1 point of damage.

Making Heal check to provide Miranda with long-term care.
Heal: 1d20 + 7 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 7 + 2 = 18
Success, Miranda recover 2 more hit points.

If Mordred does allow the aid another check.:

With Nissim's steady hands and sharp eyes, Boros is able to easily manage the worst of Miranda's injury, though the work isn't quite to the level he'd prefer. With a nod of thanks, Boros then watches Nissim head off to get his needed slumber before turning his attention back to Miranda. He spends a bit more of his time and flagging energy to treat a few more of her wounds, hoping to get her as healthy as his skills can allow before they have to deal with any more enemies.

If Mordred doesn't allow the aid another check.:

As Nissim heads to bed and the rest he needs, Boros bids him a good slumber and good dreams before focusing on Miranda once more. Unable to effectively concentrate on the complex task of treating a serious injury on his own due to his mounting exhaustion, and unwilling to risk Miranda's well-being by fumbling around in his current state, Boros instead settles for providing her with a more basic, but more easily managed level of treatment.

Afterwards, he packs away his healer's kit, though not before refreshing his depleted materials from those provided by the madam, and then settles in to watch over his patients while the rest of the party sleeps. He keeps himself awake with copious amounts of bladder-filling tea, a light meal, some personal cleaning, and maintenance on his gear--including some rough but serviceable mending on the cuts in his underclothes--interspersed with periodic checks on Miranda and the rebel.

The following is meant to take place after Varuzhan wakes, recovers Lore, and communes for his spells, but before he does anything else.
When Varuzhan finally awakens, Boros doesn't even try to hide his exhaustion. Instead, he waits with ever-heavier eyelids for the winged male to retrieve his little owl and then finish what is obviously an important ritual of some sort before enaging him in conversation. "And a good wakin' to ya, I'm hopin'. No idea what time o' day or night it is right now, so pardon if I don't bid ya a good mornin' as ya might expect," Boros says wearily, exhaustion apparent in his voice.

"Before I get any further, I'll just go ahead and say that I'm not doubtin' yer a fine enough healer. I was just tryin' to point out that o' the two of us, I'm probably the more familiar with patchin' up after a fight. Nothin' else was meant by my words." Boros then stretches in an attempt to get some kinks out of his abused muscles before he finishes. "Now hopefully, that's enough for ya by way o' apology, but if not, let me know when I'm upright again and we'll hash it out properly. For now though, I'd be right grateful if you could take over for me on watching Miranda and the rebel. Did some stuff for each o' them, nothin' fancy, but they'll need a knowledgeable eye kept on 'em for a few hours yet."

If Varuzhan agrees, Boros stumbles off to bed and sleep for his 8 hours, oblivious to the world.

We'll go with an hour before dawn being when Lily recovers spells; it makes sense in that she's empowered by the stars, but as someone who needs to not cast spells for eight hours to get them back, that she'd still spend a portion of the night resting.

Lily awakens after her long rest feeling... famished. The time spent asleep had pushed everything that happened into a cozy bubble made of dreams, and while it gnawed at the edges of her consciousness, it hadn't broken through once more as it had the night before. She didn't seem any worse for wear as she moved forward, casting her spell on the food that remained Purify Food and Drink, before digging into the day-old bread, while samplinig a little of the wine... favoring a bottle that had already been opened over opening one herself. She'd then add a bit of anything else the group had left behind to keep the meal in a state approaching attempted nutritional balance.

She moved to sit in front of Miranda, as the tiny halfling began to play with the holy symbol, watching her curiously while she ate, though far too polite to eat and talk at the same time with a person she hardly knew... or rather, not excited enough to forget her manners.

Varuzhan looks over the injured folks. Indeed, Boros had done a good job with the patients, undoubtedly improving their health at the cost of his own. "Well, you're a good enough medic. Obviously you have much to learn, but you should be proud of your abilities. Now, allow me to demonstrate my own abilities." Varuzhan drips a vial of blood on his fingers and whispers words in harsh Infernal, before dabbing that blood on Boros. His wounds begin to close. Infernal Healing

"That should fix you up. Now get some rest." Varuzhan preens confidently having proven himself the superior healer.

Hells Rebels Tactical Map

Hey, I'm trying to be correct, but not cruel. Obviously it's fine to make it aid another

@Miranda: I know you do it for flavor, mostly, but technically, shouldn't you be getting object reading on Level 2? I'll let it fly, but you don't get useful info until you actually have the skill.

@Nissim: You arrived there after the protest, so middle-late afternoon, probably. Curfew lasts to morning, so you're probably there a total of more than 12 hours...it should be all fine

Collaborating on medical treatment, Boros, Nissim and Varuzhan can make sure that everybody is as patched up as mundane healing methods allow them to be, while Lily works with the Witchlights to make sure everybody is cleaned up before withdrawing onto a bed off to the side that she feels connected with.
Juliette considers writing a letter right then, but decides to wait for more information, hoping to learn something new from the man you rescued.
Miranda simply enjoys the food, and is in good spirits.
For a while, as you check the medical condition of the rebel, you also discuss what to do with him. In the end, you decide to let him sleep, for now, and heal him in the morning...as none of you know him, but several of you are injured, tired and lacking their magical abilities. At least in the morning you would be more refreshed, both in mind and body.
As such, after feasting on the provided food and drink(and even after Lugo and Lore hat their fill, there's plenty left for a breakfast), you eventually settle down in a bed each.
The night is rather uneventful...the two of you closest to the entrance wake one, when a heavy pair of boots moves past the door, on the corridor, but other than that, you wake by yourself, in the morning, before someone visits to let you know the curfew is over.

After you all check how your medical state is this morning, and enjoying some of yesterdays leftovers as breakfast, you gather near or around the man as Nissim feeds his potion into his throat. With a coughing fit that makes him jerk up and makes you wonder how he was even able to breathe, the man awakens.
Finding himself besieged by the lot of you, his first reaction seems to shy away from the majority, before he visibly relaxes, and looks around in the room:"This is not a prison, and you don't seem like Asmodeans. So far, so good." - Looking some more, he sees several of you have marks of having been in a fight(such as holes in clothing, or the bump on Miranda):"Do I owe my thanks for that first observation to you lot?", he inquires, "...because if so, thanks to all of you. Which group are you with...", his eyes further scan his surroundings:"...and why exactly are we in a school dormitory?"
"Nevermind, just give me a minute to become fully awake."
He lifts one of his hands in greeting:"Oh, and names Rexus, Rexus Garland...and you guys are?"
with that, he attempts to sit up proper, but soon has to lay down again, almost blacking out from the movement due to his blood loss."Oh my, I suppose we have some time for introductions before I'm going anywhere from here. That said, I'm a merchant by trade, but born and raised right here in Kintargo...been growing up here until my mother died. Had no reason to stay after that. Just recently came back here. Private stuff, not business...so- how about you guys", before you can answer, he sees the basket, with Miranda nearby picking out choice bits:"Oh thank the gods...food and drink? My throat feels sore, and I am hungry...how long was I out, anyway?, trying to stand up, quickly followed by a head on his brow and falling back down into a sitting position:"I fear I am not quite ready to stand...where were we?

If I lose power and can't post for a bit, here's something with which you can fill the gap.

Boros awakens, refreshed and, to his considerable surprise, totally healed of the previous day's injuries. He spends a few moments wondering about this before recalling, vaguely, that Varuzahn did something involving a vial of blood and some rather unpleasant-sounding words before Boros stumbled into his bed. Boros figures this must have been some manner of healing magic, though he reminds himself to check and make sure of his supposition.

Hauling himself out of bed, he grabs a bit of food, then checks over his patients, nodding wordlessly in greeting to the others in the dormitory who are awake. Finishing his meal and his checkups--he doesn't doubt Varuzhan did a solid job while he asleep, but it never to make sure--Boros then takes the time to get into his armor before joining everyone else around their mysterious rebel.

As the rebel returns to consciousness following Nissim's administering the potion, Boros takes a seat on a nearby bed that gives him a clear view of both the door and the rebel. Instead of his gun, as one might expect, Boros has his left hand casually gripping the hilt of his rapier. He hasn't drawn the weapon yet, but it's clear he's ready to do so at a moment's notice. Hearing the rebel introduce himself, Boros replies briefly with own name, but otherwise is content to keep quiet and let others do the speaking.

Making specific mention of this here, because I forgot to do so at the time, but part of the gear maintenance Boros did included using a whetstone on his rapier.

Nissim greets the man Rexus, but neglects to give his name. Instead he fetches some food and drink from the table for him.

"You are probably wondering what happened in Aria Park. You are fortunate to have been intercepted before you arrived. We were fleeing the park when we came across Thrune's agents and you. In one way or another Barzillai Thrune was aware of your plans. They were prepared for you... far beyond what would have been needed."

"It is almost impossible that any of your associates who made it to the park escaped. For their sakes as well as your own, hopefully none survived. There are two questions you should think on because your safety probably depends on it. Did the agents who seized you know your identity? Also, how might Thrune have come to know your group's intentions at the park?"

As Lily watches Miranda study the holy symbol, she misinterprets what the's doing... especially given her intense focus thereupon. She waits until she's no longer entirely focused on the trinket to speak up. "Asmodeus has a great deal of favor here in Cheliax... but he need not be the only object of interest." she says, offering a small smile. "Judging by your interactions with Boros last night, it's likely you'd find a great deal in common with Shelyn. There's nothing inherently... wrong with Asmodeus... though, as she speaks, from her tone, you get the feeling she feels otherwise, "But he need not be your only option. There's an entire world of deities for you out there." she finally pauses to take in the halfling's reaction. Which I fully assume is snickering/giggling.

"Eh?" Miranda blinks and looks up and around, finding the source of the unfamiliar voice to be the freckled woman. With a small smile she continued "Oh. No I was just curious as to what it would say. And maybe a bit worried too?" She gently pokes the pointy star and then places it in her satchel covered by a small piece of cloth. She herself sat up and focused her attention on Lily. With a big grin and an expectant look on her face she asked "But tell me about Shelyn then!"

Snickering/giggling is reserved for when people doesn't offer her stories if she plays along :P

Once the man was brought back to his senses Miranda moved out of her bed and alot closer. He was sorta their unopened present they had been dragging around since yesterday, so she was very curios as to what he had to say! With a large toothy grin she also introduced herself and helped serve the food Nissim fetched. "Miranda!" she beamed. "The food is delicious. And I think you are paying for it heh! You were out about half a day and then a night too."

Varuzhan watched for a while as the others chatted the man up, being quite friendly. But as far as Varuzhan was concerned, they were missing the point, wasting time on pleasantries and this man's life history. Varuzhan begins to speak, his voice becoming louder in his impatience. "Look, it seems like you don't even remember it, but we saved your hide, Rexus. A bunch of strangers passing through an alley. It was a miracle that we were all there, that we all didn't much like the new boss in town, and that we're all pretty good in a scrap. So you should thank whatever gods you pray to, because there's no way this happened by sheer chance. Then, you need to tell us what you were up to, because all our lives depend on it, and you owe us."

As the words spilled out of his mouth, Varuzhan realized he was angry. Angry at having been put into this situation, in which he might be a fugitive because he felt bad about someone being victimized by Thrune. It was, looking back, a questionable decision, and now he really hoped this human was more than some bumbling idiot who had nothing to offer in return.

Just for the sake of clarity, stuff like this is why Varuzhan has a Charisma of 8.
