Mists of War - DM Downrightamazed

Three groups of gaijin approach the Son of the Heavens, ruler of the Empire of Mists, in his palace in far Lanzhu. A great war is underway in the west, this is known, but what could these strangers want?
In all honesty, even after the horrendous beating he took Chu is still interested more then ever in the Undercity. Granted he is distracted somewhat by the Gaijan force he is trying to keep an eye on. Chu has a lot on his plate. Betrayal, Political Agenda's, Networking, Evil Laser Beam of Unmaking Shooting Magnifying Glasses and all while trying to avoid being killed.
Sorry, need to clarify a couple more things: this whole area basically looks like a subway platform or tube stop; you all are on raised stone "embankments" and the river is a ways down, where tracks would be, between you. So the normal surface of the water (before it starts churning) is about 8' down, and the cleats are another 6' or so down from there, under the water. So you can't just reach down and grab them.
Also; Wei and Zhongyi and the army are on the south embankment and the others are on the north embankment. So getting to the north wall would require someone to cross the 80' of river.
I hope everyone's holidays were good, and a happy new year to all of my friends here. Looking forward to continuing here when everything comes back together.
So, just to keep in touch and stuff in the interim, and utilize the resources of people here, I am expecting my first child (a boy) mid-late March. Any advice from parents out there? This will also be my first experience with boys, seeing as I had all sisters, and my sister had four little girls.
Congrats! My son is just over a year old now. He is a lot of fun. As for advice - just stay patient, rest when you can, and rely on others as much as you can to stay sane.
Patience is very much a key factor as a new parent, when they're crying they usual want one of three things. Food, Comfort or a new diaper. While changing them get your blocking hand ready especially if you see that they have a slight
:p:
Erection Yes, I know. I didn't know any better of a term! So Shush, no giggling you!
because that means they are about to pee on you lol!
That was about the same as mine as well, but I didn't have much of a warning, the first time caught me completely off guard at a changing table in a store. Needless to say a change of clothes was a ways away an he got me dead to rights with his aim lol!
I've been warned quite a bit about that particular entertainment, it seems. I'm glad to hear I will not be the only one to suffer it. My husband hasn't ever changed a diaper, so I hope it gets him first. ;)
I was rooting for Wisconsin in the Rose Bowl, myself. Alas, it was not meant to be.
I need to check in with Dan myself. I'll let you know.
For which she will be extremely appreciative once time begins again...it's just amusing to me to be caught in the midst of a critical fail. Rather Sisyphusian. Or perhaps more Promethean - with having your liver eaten out daily by a giant bird of prey.
Hey, gang. I wanted to encourage you all to vote in Superstar. I'm working hard on round three in the hopes I'll be there. Come check out the cool archetypes!
So I keep hoping this game will get back on its horse.
In the meantime, please go to the Superstar link and support my deadfall dweller. I'd like to make it at least one more round. Tell you friends. If you don't, Shoto Imuri will know!
Our characters are decently close to the appropriate levels. I think someone should run a pbp encounter to playtest one of the Superstar round 4 scenarios. I am not volunteering mine - in fact I am sure Paizo prefer I don't run or play in a playtest or comment at all. But I thought, we have characters of the right levels and nothing to do with them.............
Oh...I posted a response last week but it apparently never actually posted. Trying again...
Kyras: I have spoken to him, and I know he's working on getting to a place where he has the time and energy for these things. I don't see him as much as I used to, what with my busy schedule too.
Corey: Survival is good! Hope the oil field doesn't get the better of you at all. As for me, I'm ...nearing the end of this unique experience of preparing for baby. Two weeks away from due date! There's been a lot of family visits and running around. I just look forward to being able to relax.
I hope spring is springing for everyone. I am eager to get rid of all of this snow.
