OK I need a handful of things from y'all.
PFS Number (PM me if you would rather).
Faction.
Please put perception and AC plus anything else I might have to look up frequently into the sex/race slots of the character's profile.
Define your characters default attack option (for when I need to DMPC).
A handful of dice for later when timing is an issue. These may or may not be used. Be sure to include any special circumstances (darkvision or loyalty trait for example)
This should be set up for a reply. Make sure to add the appropriate modifier and the final closed bracket (])

Sorry this took so long...only had me phone all weekend.
PFS ID: 56335-1
Toren's a non-violent kind of guy...so trips are his first choice. If he's hurt or if he sees his allies being hurt badly he will attack for lethal.
He also like to use Total Defense with his Tower Shield to provide a solid wall (and possibly soft cover if the GM rules it).

Apologies for lag - zoom, and off to the races :)
PFS ID: 58034 - 2
Shadow Lodge
Angruf is a younger son of the Berwuerz clan. His older brothers are in honorable professions such as mining and smithing. Angruf was always drawn more to the Temple, the tales, the reverence of the ancestors and the gods. He is devoted to the service of the clans and society (drawn broadly) by applying the wisdom of the Temples to the world as it is.

So you are getting an idea of who and what this character is, so let me take a moment and ask you a question. Since the Shadow Lodge is ending this year, I can see him going into two factions. Julian would probably want to go into the Szcarni, and use Maul as a leg breaker, where as Maul would probably want to go into the Silver Crusade. Which do you think would be the more interesting and roleplay heavy choice?
| Venture Teller Play b'Post |
I think I have fixed the editing options of the map. Someone else will have to test it to be sure. It is listed under my avi's name, but I also put a link in the top of the campaign tab. Thanks for the suggestion DaWay.

Well since you give us Julien (with M as a leg breaker) and you gave us Maul (with...) I think you already have more interest in the first option then the second. :)

A note about actions while you are waiting for others. When you are waiting for everyone to act, but nothing to add let me know your are still checking in. Just bump the discussion thread here or say/do something in character in the game thread. That way I know you are making the daily checks.
PbP can have a lot of people waiting for other people who often are waiting for them. At the table one can make eye-contact or sometihng but not an option here.
On a related note if you are unable to make the regular posts, please let me know ahead of time (as Beckett did-thanks :)

I would highly recommend going to any of the local restaurants (not chain) in Port Angeles. About 20 miles further north and west is a little beach/campsite place called Crescent Beach that I used to go to with my brother to camp/surf/etc.

** Shouldn't the Julian have had cover from the madman? I applied the penalty when I attacked the snake. Should I do so if I attack it again from the same position? **
Technically the cover gives Julien a +4 to AC not the madman a -4 to hit. Either way 19 is enough to get the AC 14 (cover: 18). Or am I doing it wrong?

Ah. Good enough.
I was hoping I was missing something and didn't have to deal with Cover on my attacks.| Venture Teller Play b'Post |
PVP?
Nope.
Lest anyone wonders what has happened to Toren (though I hope no-one has missed it). The Mists of Mwangi are driving him mad. Once in combat he will stay in combat until he makes the appropriate save. Technically he should be GMPC, but on a PbP sitting around the table watching everyone else play gets amplified by the slower process.
Thanks Toren for playing up the mad gibberish :)

Sort of a follow up to Curaigh's revelation, . . .
I have sent them a PM in regards to some of the things I was going to present to Paizo about PbP's, hoping o expand them and possibly even get some convention statues boons here and there. If anyone is interested, I'll let you know what I hear.

I don't want to derail the game's thread too much, but if anyone has any questions, or would like for me to talk to Joseph about something else, any new ideas, suggestions, etc. . . PM me and I will see what I can do. It would also be cool to know who is interested in (possibly) helping/contributing to this IF, (-> if <-) he does want to do anything, so again, if you would like to DM, or to help out in some way, please PM me. <click on my avatar, it ill open a new screen, and near the top you will see a small, blue option that says "send a private message">

A note about non-lethal damage:
When you take damage most folks subtract it from their max hp (10 hp -3 dmg = 7 hp.) Non-lethal is added 0 +3 = 3 NLdmg. It is not until there is more non-lethal damage than hp that a person falls unconscious. So if you make a few good hits first you can go for the subdual later.

I, for one, think the GM's handling of Teron's unfortunate condition is quite good. I don't regard it as PvP, so much as 'GM-directed PvP'.
And Toren's been doing a bang-up job with running his character as a demented NPC, while relieving the GM of the need to run another NPC.
Jak Littlewolf
|
Yes. The random gibberish has been great.
I do kind of wish it had been someone else though.
Someone we could take down a little more easily. :)
The only thing I can think of to do is to stack Aid Anothers to hit him. Especially when we're going for that last non-lethal attack.
It would be really sad if he managed to kill us all.
Toren "Stand" Still

His string of good rolls and your bad rolls HAVE to end.
But Aid Another and Grapple/Pinning could work. Anyone able to feint?
Jak Littlewolf
|
Well, I'm not going to try to Grapple or Disarm. The size thing works against me.
I'll try to Aid anyone who does, though.
Disarm, then knock out seems the best plan to me. In the hopes that the mist will leave him like it did the other guy and then he'll be sane again.
If he just makes his save, he'll be a risk in the next fight.
Jak Littlewolf

You'd need to roll a 13 (based on your CMB) to grapple Toren. I kind of wish I hadn't now, but his whole build was centered around the idea of this veteran phalanx warrior, hard to hit and hard to grapple/trip.
Nah. It's a cool idea and a good character. Just work on those Will saves, alright?
