Like rats from a sinking ship...

He muttered as his support and friend seemed to evaporate into thin air. He crossed his arms and looked down at the ground.

It seemed the most prudent option to get what we needed. The owner of that stupid place decided that once the now famous successful troop that passed that stupids plays trials was in house, there was no way we were getting that statue without someone getting into the pit. It was supposed to be just a series of summoned monsters, which were handled just fine then the champion wizard got a little angry his minions were smashed and went mad exiting his cage and trying to take us on. Really I would prefer that we could talk through everything in life but thats just not possible sometimes.

He took a deep breath and let his shoulders sag slightly.

I didnt join this group to watch the city burn while sitting on the sidelines and chatting about how it could be better. I will make it better if I have to paint the ground red through out the place, and frankly as much as I want to please you and catch your eye, I want to make this city a better place for my future children as much as anyone elses. If that requires a fight then I will oblige it. You know you were awful eager to go mixing it up when we took this place from the bastards... what changed in you that suddenly fighting is bad?

Hippa cringes as MsTarvi creeps out and begins her inquisition, and the eyerolling backpedaling of Tram. {cough}”Yes, as fascinating as all this is…She steps well within Tram’s personal space, looking for any still bleeding wounds, batting away non-too-gently Tram’s attempt at modesty. ”Really?!?! Fine. Audi, place His Noble-Bloodedness melted Breastplate next to the chalkboard. We will add that to lessons learned for the next meeting. Go on, scooch!”

Turning to Tarvi, ”You might as well make yourself useful. Remember that recipe we found that transcribed Goblin healing potion from oral traditions? The one in the green flask? Get it, Tram will be its first critic.

”Bah! Melted, Burnt, Stabbed, Scratched. You are really a Healer’s nightmare. Come along. Lets get you cleaned up.” She leads the way quite briskly for short legs, and darkly mumbling something about new recipes to research all because of a self-appointed do-gooder who thinks his hoighty-toighty upbringing will see him safely on the other side. On the backside of the building is a protected space with an overhang, flimsy palisade and a large washtub. And seemingly grabs the air and throws nothing into the washtub, rather forcefully I might add.

He follows along very much confused as the gnomes purpose until she gets to the tub. His mouth opens agape for a second when he realizes her purpose and then her chastisement before he quickly went down to his smallclothes and hopped into the tub with an attempt at modesty.

"Who says Im a leader? Even if I am some glorious leader like you seem to think Im not some landed lordling able to make the peasntry on my land follow my orders or risk starvation. I can do what I feel is right and only inspire others perhaps to risk more of themselves to follow my lead.

He said with as much diginity as he could being assualted by a gnome in a bath.

Exxor will listen with Miro and Audi before we scuttle away like roaches when the lights go on.
After that it will be on to the Elven Suite as it is now known. Exxor drops some gear and prepares for the seance. He thinks about stripping off his armor, but based on past events, leaves it on and heads back to find the others. He even picks up the crossbow and quivers.

Based on how things go for us, chances are that I will need this.

Hippa was using the soapy brush enough to inspect scars and wounds. Once satisfied Tramtris was not going to die of blood loss, subsequent infection and no indication of poison nor disease, Hippa hands him the soap brush and sits on the derelict bench. She plucks away the remnants of dirty rags Tramtris was wearing. "You still have wounds as did the others, additional healing can wait for now."

When Ms.Tarvi arrives, Hippa instructs her to not interrupt and to listen as if learning arcane lessons. but with a nekkid man to help with her focus.:-)

"Alright tell me everything. No. Wait. I don't want to know. Let me clarify what I need from you. I cannot stop the impulsiveness of youthful invulnerability that will stop with maturity... or death. But perhaps we can work on anticipation and preparation. Talk to me of this battle. What could you handle with ease and what stopped you cold."
insert Tramtris monologue

Afterwards, she sends Ms.Tarvi away as she was done with daily instructions. "I keep her busy and made her an apprentice of sorts, although no formal agreement as yet. She was and is helpful for my recovery. Tends to keep tabs on me, might as well grow her into a useful human." She points out a couple of shabby but clean towels/sheets hanging on hooks in inside wall.

"For the record, all the suites in this particular building are spartan cubby holes for the former temple acolytes. More than enough for gnome like me especially with my lab in a former pantry and free reign for my critters. You can pick one or liberate a space elsewhere. He kept the retelling of the battle simple, not embellishing the events a bit, mentioning of course the strange magics that had helped him. He was after all still curious about that and now perhaps a little paranoid. Everything was fine until of course it was time to get out. Good thing there were towels to cover himself up with until he could get another set of clothing preferable not half cut to ribbons on.

Finally cleaned and ready he made his way to where the others were gathered, halberd at the ready though unarmored.

Lets hope this one doesnt just wake up screeching like that head we found eh?

Watching the efforts of the others, Hippa could not help but feel her pride impinged upon and in some sense violated. She was unsure what information the guys were seeking, and disturbing the dead without consulting her would've likely been a resounding "No" but the damage was done. Several other questions came to mind, yet she found it prudent to save these for after the candle burned out.

She remained nearby, her thoughts on what the future may hold and whether she would once more delve into the role of activist and protagonist in WestCrowne.

Even though we have, or had 4 candles, I would suggest we save the remaining ones for a time when we have more information and can follow up with additional meaningful questions.

And let us review what we know -
In 4605, Donatalus Bisby brought back with him a potent artifact from the Mwangi expanse. The artifact had ties to a dualistic religion of light and shadow. Only Bisby and his chronicler had returned.
In 4674, House of Thrune reopened Delvehaven under Thrunite Pathfinders control
In 4676, something happened in Delvehaven that caused the deaths of all the Thrune Pathfinders and its subsequent sealing.

From the Crux Journals (dated 4674-4676) we learned the Delvehaven Pathfinders hid a portion of their treasure and clues about how to enter the deepest vaults in an off-site hidden cache somewhere in or near Westcrown. We also found the poem cipher: a page torn from the
back of a book sits in a larger piece of folded parchment.
The torn-out page presents a poorly written poem called “Cugny’s Wedding,” about a man who falls in love with a mermaid but drowns when he tries to seduce her. The poem is covered with spidery script, as is the folded parchment that cradles it. A quick study of the parchment
indicates that someone believed the poem was a code or cipher that hid the route to a cache of Pathfinder treasures kept outside of Delvehaven (as indicated in the ledger portion of the Delvehaven papers).

And there was something else about the Sisters of Eiseth.

Now we add Coriana was romantically linked to Bisby, and designed the cache.

What else do we know or suspect?

M Halfling Expert8HP65/65Init+4Per+13|AC22T16FF19|F8(9 poison/drugs)R8W10(11fear)

So what about these sisters? Maybe we can chat them up if they are still around.

Exxor looks around at furrowed brows, deep in thought. I wonder what they know... or perhaps I am happier not knowing.

It sounds like we need to find the cache located in the city to be successful in entering Delvehaven's deep vaults - which is where something like an artifact would be housed.

The Sisterhood of Eiseth existed in the time before Aroden’s
death as a convent of female monks who hoped to become
erinyes after their deaths. By worshiping the first erinyes,
Eiseth, and leading a life of fury, they hoped to train
for this role in the afterlife, and frequently hired out as
assassins. Their work was particularly valued by some for
their convention of claiming the remains of their victims,
cremating them, and securing the ashes below one of their
convents in order to prevent the slain victim from being
brought back to life or receiving the honor of a proper
burial.
