ha! Hippa does, but once per day as per racial trait. She does not have this as a cantrip today so cannot spam it. And i have internet in da boondocks. Whodathunkit? The irony? No cell phone coverage.

MiniGm: I am glad I reread the "Read Magic" spell. Last time I read was back in the AD&D days. It is a bit more robust than in the past.

Seeing through the facade of aristocrat nonchalant disdain for showing weakness, or was that just males in any species and culture... As often as you like to shield me with your tender flesh, it would behoove me to do more than bring you back from death's door. hippa pulls one the scrolls out, starts to read the eldritch words with careful enunciation. Words thats seem to make sense at the moment yet you have no recollection of which vowels went with the random consonants. CLW 1d8 ⇒ 8 plus anything?

Expecting the bolts from the dark, Hippa knew it was a matter of when vs if. She releases the dog's leash with a word of encouragement, freeing her hands. Stepping back 5', Hippa pulls out a scroll, confirms it is the right one and starts to read.

Reading her Daylight scroll, that is. She does not want a repeat of darkness rising. Alas, it was not a readied action. I'll plan better next time.
