"Closed. Knock or observe Dillan?"

Male Half-Elf Rogue/ 4

What is the pedestrian traffic like? How empty are the streets? Is the lighting suitable for stealth?

Dillan looks at his companion and raises a single finger to his lips, signaling for silence, then makes to fade in to the night. With stealth the rogue makes his way around the building pausing at various points to take in the area searching for anything out of the ordinary or sounds from the facility.

Stealth 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (13) + 10 = 23

Perception 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (15) + 13 = 28 +4= 32 vs. hearing conversations, finding traps, concealed or secret objects and/or 34 vs Traps specifically

Male Elf Wizard (necromancy/undead)/4 HPs 24/24

Tre's nose wrinkles in disgust at the smell. He nods and watches Dillan move into the shadows, and as he wacthes he queitly casts a spell. Dillian hears Tre's voice whispering into his ear, "Speak to me if you want, I can hear you through my magic." Tre follows but many yards behind.

The streets are deserted. Apart from a few houses having a porch light there isn't much in the way of street lighting, but there is a full moon in a clear sky.

Male Half-Elf Rogue/ 4

Anything discovered from the sneak about?

Liberty's Edge

Female Depemds on the game system (human in the real world)

The place is all shut up. There does seem to be someone inside but you cannot make out what they are doing.

Assuming Dillan returns to tell us that...
Sorin whispers, "What do you think? Should we just watch all night, knock or try again tomorrow. Or are you suspicious enough that we should try to get in?"

Male Half-Elf Rogue/ 4

Dillan returns back whispers back to Tre', "Someone is inside, I'm going to find a point of entry." Dillan will move around finding a good point to enter the house; something with hopefully a little cover from spectators.

Sorin nods silently and then watches as Dillan drifts off quietly again.

There's a back entrance by the bins... but it's locked.

Male Half-Elf Rogue/ 4

Dillan whispers again, "Backside, door, by bins." Then the rogue begins about his work...

Perception for traps 1d20 + 19 ⇒ (20) + 19 = 39

Sorin moves over where he can watch Dillan work, but keeps his distance from the rogue.

Male Elf Wizard (necromancy/undead)/4 HPs 24/24

Tre follows round, keeping clear of his immediate surroundings, so he can stay in range of the spell.

"Dillan, I'm following on behind"

Liberty's Edge

A twenty-foot-high stone wall, topped with broken glass, surrounds a small courtyard before the workshop. A heavy oak gate bars entry beneath a sign proudly proclaiming 'Vorkstag and Grine, Chymic Works.' A bell hangs by one side of the gate.

There is something prowling in the courtyard. Dog-sized, but it doesn't sound like one.

Dillon cannot detect any traps on the gate, although it is barred from the inside.

Stats:
AC 15/12/13 HP 34/34 F+3 R+3 W+4 Init+2 Per+4

Sorin listens to the sounds for a moment, trying to identify what the creature behind the wall could be. "Nothing I can do about that animal, but I can get Barret prepared to silence it. Tre, is there anything you want to try first?"

Barret isn't there currently. :)

Ah, no wonder we haven't heard from you in a while. Still back at the Mill eh?

Kellid Mooncursed 1 (HP 15/15; AC:12, T:12, FF:10; Fort:+4 Ref:+2 Will:+2; Init+2; Perception +5) (Effects: None)

Yep. Just waiting to move on.

Liberty's Edge

Female Depemds on the game system (human in the real world)

Ah yes, Barret is off hunting witnesses... eventually he finds the windmill, which seems in good repair. There are lights inside and (assuming he knocks) a woman opens the door.

"Good evening, can I help you?" she says. You can hear other female voices behind her, talking about baking and cake toppings or some such.

Kellid Mooncursed 1 (HP 15/15; AC:12, T:12, FF:10; Fort:+4 Ref:+2 Will:+2; Init+2; Perception +5) (Effects: None)

"Are you the miller sisters? And what do you know of the Beast that is on trial?"

Male Half-Elf Rogue/ 4

How well lit is the area?

Assuming the illumination factor is in the rogues best interest, he attempts to scale the wall being mindful of the glass danger...seeking a better vantage point of the inner area as well as the beast...

At the mill

"Yes, we are. We have been asked to give evidence in the Beast's trial. Who are you and what is your interest?"

At the Cymic Works

Tre'duinne, after some thought you realise that the creature is actually a flesh golem in dog shape.

Dillan, you scrabble a bit but find the wall does not offer sufficient purchase for you to get up it.

Sorin provides some assistance to Dillan so he can try to climb again.
Climb: 1d20 - 4 ⇒ (5) - 4 = 1 Or not
I'll roll a couple more though in case he wants to keep trying.
Climb: 1d20 - 4 ⇒ (10) - 4 = 6 Fails

Climb: 1d20 - 4 ⇒ (8) - 4 = 4 Fails
Climb: 1d20 - 4 ⇒ (11) - 4 = 7 Fails

Male Half-Elf Rogue/ 4

ok, so there is the gate that is sealed from the inside and the walls that we can possibly scale. For which I think we need a grappling hook. I've got the rope, but not the hook. Thoughts? Megan, for the gate there was no way to access how it is sealed correct?

I don't have a grappling hook either Dillan. I suppose we could go procure one.

Liberty's Edge

Female Depemds on the game system (human in the real world)

OK, what do you outside the Cymic Works want to do?

At the mill, the woman at the door doesn't seem very interested in Barret.

"So, you some kind of Beast-lover? We saw what we saw and we'll be saying so at Court!"

Stats:
AC 15/12/13 HP 34/34 F+3 R+3 W+4 Init+2 Per+4

I think we still want to try getting over the wall. I'm thinking we all either try to assist Dillan until he gets up it or we go to get a grappling hook.

Kellid Mooncursed 1 (HP 15/15; AC:12, T:12, FF:10; Fort:+4 Ref:+2 Will:+2; Init+2; Perception +5) (Effects: None)

"No. I just want to know what you saw."

Male Elf Wizard (necromancy/undead)/4 HPs 24/24

Tre uses his magic to tell Dillan in a softly whispered voice, "Get out, there's a flesh golem close by, I don't think we can take such a guard on, without Barret's strength.." Tre retreats the way he came.

Male Half-Elf Rogue/ 4

Hearing the message Dillan returns to the others, "Perhaps then we should just wait to get the others and other needed supplies. I don't think we can get in without scaling the wall; which we'll need a grappling a hook to secure the rope to get over."

Stats:
AC 15/12/13 HP 34/34 F+3 R+3 W+4 Init+2 Per+4

"All right. Why don't we see if we can procure a grappling hook this evening and see if Barret returns. If not, we can get rooms and plot out tomorrow."

At the mill

"Come to the trial and hear it then!" says the woman and slams the door in Barret's face.

Kellid Mooncursed 1 (HP 15/15; AC:12, T:12, FF:10; Fort:+4 Ref:+2 Will:+2; Init+2; Perception +5) (Effects: None)

Barret growls as the door slammed on him. He resists the urge to break the door down and returns to Lepidstadt.

Yes, let's go ahead and meet back up. Can we also locate a grappling hook?

It's gone midnight. Barret's feet hurt.

Now what?

Flesh golem vs. Barret? Let's go!

Male Half-Elf Rogue/ 4

We are all gathered up. "So did you find out anything?" The rogue asks, "We found the need of a grappling hook and a flesh golem. Whatever that is."

"Now that we have Barret back, shall we take the grappling hook and make another attempt at getting past that flesh golem dog?"

To repeat the description for Barret's benefit: A tall, iron chimney belches yellow clouds into the sky from a small brick factory. Large leaded windows arch in a dozen places on its outer walls, but they are so begrimed as to be opaque. A large gate opens onto an inner courtyard beneath a sign proudly proclaiming 'Vorkstag and Grine, Chymic Works.' The building has two floors and a tower, topped by a lightning rod.

Seeing your interest, a passing urchin (what's he doing out at this time of night?) says "You know what? No workers are ever seen going on shift at the chymic works, but the smoke from the chimney never stops. Odd that."

Male Half-Elf Rogue/ 4

Dillan nods at the urchin then steps in closer to the boy and whispers, "Do you know of any other ways into the building?"
