It will take a while for Hisao to earn or "grow in" to this ring of invisibility, but I plan on planting similarly awesome goodies for everyone, so please be patient....

Nacht leads the party down the eastern corridor, which runs 80 ft, niches in the walls filled with the bones and skulls of monks, priests, and parishioners of Notre Dame....

At the end of the corridor is a broad, vaulted gallery, 40-ft-by-60-ft, walls decorated with sinister relief images depicting the torments of Hell, and souls burning in fiery pits, stretched on racks or wheels by devils and demons, or obscene orgies of succubi and incubi with mortal witches and devil-worshippers!

At the east end of the gallery lies an unholy shrine on a raised dais, with an altar of basalt stained with blood, and covered with unholy symbols: an inverted silver crucifix, an inverted silver pentagram with a horned goat head superimposed in silver, and a silver symbol made up of three sixes--the number of The Beast! A chalice of gold inlaid with bloodstones and a silver jeweled dagger also lay upon the altar.

Looming behind the altar on the east wall is a relief image of The Beast of the Apocalypse in relief, black marble striated with crimson, it's eye sockets filled with sparkling rubies!


Three black-robed, hooded figures wearing skull masks stand near the unholy altar, one laying what appears to be a sedated human infant upon the altar!

They turn to face the adventurers as they enter the gallery....

The 3 Satanic cultists stand in a line north-to-south in front of an altar at the east end of the chamber, about 40 ft from the party's front line (Nacht and FireSkorn)....

Nacht's insectile legs buckle down and shoot him off in a burst of speed landing right next to the middle cultist and slicing at his head. He had little care for the child but he was sure one of them knew something. So only one needed to be alive.

Basically he charged then used Ki as a swift to go invisible instead of using the ring and moving. He used the Invis defensively

Is this a ritual in which the Cultists would need permission of evil parents (See Rosemary's Baby) in order to succeed, or is likely just a kidnapping or something? Ultimately, do I recognize the ritual for what it is -- based on the silver crucifix & pentagram w/ goat and the robes the cultist's wear, etc., etc.?

The cultists fork their fingers at the adventurers and intone words of evocation, causing hellfire to spring out from their hands and blaze the advancing intruders!

Alphonse, Nacht, Hisao and Paddy must each make two Ref saves, DC 12, to avoid the burning hands that sear for 3d4 ⇒ (1, 3, 2) = 6 and 3d4 ⇒ (2, 1, 3) = 6 fire damage respectively!

I think Jimeno is close and has reach so he would at least get an attack with the lance as an AoO maybe. Also one of the cultists needed to make a DC 14 will save.
