Stone slashes out with his scimitar then takes a five foot step back to make an opening for Severo.


The map became out of position. It is easy to do. It happens to me all the time. I have found if you use the "back" button feature you can undo your activity. This helps to re-position the map.

Round Two Start

Elektra hits the blinded Hill Giant with an Acid Arrow.

Devora begins to tell the tale of our brave heroes. She moves up some as well.

Brandark charges the fourth Kreeg Ogre slicing into its vile flesh with his mighty axe.

As the Dwarf Cavalier approaches the fourth Ogre takes a swing at Brandark. Its blow is stopped by the Cavalier's Full Platemail.

Kreeg Ogre 4, +1 ogre hook: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (5) + 16 = 212d8 + 13 ⇒ (5, 8) + 13 = 26

Stone charges into combat too next to Brandark. He slices into the fourth Kreeg with his scimitar.

Took the liberty to change Stone's actions due to the map problem. A charge was the only way Stone could reach the fourth Kreeg and get in that critical hit. He would not have had the second attack. Just as well, he likely would have dropped his scimitar. :P

Hearing Devora recite heroic tales emboldens the Half-Orc Paladin. He puts a little extra charge into his arrow. The arrow sticks into the fourth Kreeg. The Ogres staggers and falls.

Every little bit helps. Severo's original attack would have missed but with the extra +2, he hit. And with the extra +2 damage, it was just enough to send the Ogre to unconsciousness.

Flynn is heroic.

The Hill Giant whines and whimpers trying to remove the Glitterdust from its eyes. It begins to see again. Its whimpering slows.

Hill Giant's Will Save: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (18) + 3 = 21

A fifth Kreeg tries to get at the Human that has entered the fray. It has to step over its unconscious brother to get at the Cleric.

The Ogre has a ten foot reach, so would not have provoked an AoO. Its movement over the fallen Kreeg though is considered difficult terrain, so it would not have been able to get its full attack.

The Inquisitor missed with his first arrow as the fourth Kreeg fell over unconscious. But, Flynn was indeed heroic as he buried an arrow deep into the fifth Kreeg Ogre with his second arrow.

Flynn's second arrow did 45 points of damage.

Whoops, belay that last post. Forgot I dropped Sev's bow+had a better idea.

Severo roars as he rushes his target. It's hard to tell if this is just an intimidation tactic, or reciting a holy word. He moves with a new grace into a full sprint past the ogre on the stairs, headed for the ogres flank with his falchion in hand.

When you get a decent look at it, it does look like a really big scimitar.

Run action, swift action to cast grace. It doesn't do what I thought it did, but I can use it at least.

Elektra fires another Acid Arrow at the Hill Giant. It strikes the Hill Giant's throat area. The big hulk whimpers loudly in pain.

As Devora continues to recite her epic tale, she stumbles on the stairs missing her bow shot.

Brandark hacks deeply with his first swing. The Dwarf Cavalier catches some additional flesh with his back swing.

As Brandark continues his assault, the Cleric lays a hand on the Dwarf Cavalier. Healing energies flow from Stone onto Brandark.

Severo moves to flank the fifth Kreeg Ogre, giving himself a little Cat's Grace in the process. The Half-Orc Paladin sees two more dust covered Kreegs moving up toward another flight of steps heading down.

The fifth Kreeg takes a reactionary attack on the Half-Orc Paladin, but misses overhead with its wicked hook weapon.

Now surrounded, the fifth Kreeg directs its full attention to the powerful Dwarf Cavalier. As if in a desperate situation, it tries to finish off the puny humaniod. Its first attack hits, but Brandark dodges the second strike.

The Hill Giant takes a step and swings a couple of times at the Half-Orc Paladin with a massive greatclub. The first blow glances off Severo's armor. But the second blow pounds solidly the Half-Orc Paladin.

Elektra keeps flicking arrows off her Acid Arrow wand. The next arrow misses the big lug splashing on the wall behind it. The Hill Giant does take further acid damage from the previous Acid Arrow.

Devora continues to recite her epic poem. She then moves behind Brandark and provide a little extra touch of healing.

Brandark moves into position to take on the next wave of Kreeg Ogres. He drinks a potion that provides enough healing to allow him to be fully restored.

Stone will move up and cast a Hold Person on the Hill Giant.

DESCRIPTION

Ogre 6's token is faded, what does that mean? Is he still up? I'd like Severo to charge #7, but two AoO's is a bit steep for my liking.


It is just the image. I took them from Title page for the Hook Mountain Massacre. See link. There would be another token on the image if there was a unique status, unconscious, dead, held, etc.. Now, if invisible,the token would be transparent.

And yes, you need to avoid AoO from Giants, particularly Kreeg Ogres. They are more powerful than Hill Giants.

Brandark steps toward the newly arrived sixth Kreeg. He slices, then dices. The dicing was particularly deep. It severely injures the sixth Kreeg Ogre.

Stone has nothing but Holy Smite for these Kreeg Ogres.

Two of the Kreegs resisted Stone's Smite. But the sixth Kreeg did not and falls over unconscious with the combination of Brandark's powerful attack and Stone's Holy spell.

Severo lays on hands, takes a step, and bops the seventh Kreeg. His second bop does not penetrate the Ogres Hide Armor.

The seventh Kreeg, with its wicked Ogre Hook, slashes with all its might at the Half-Orc Paladin. It slices into Severo with its first attack, but misses on the backhand slash.

@Severo - The Kreeg Ogres has the maximum power. The Kreeg's themselves are mostly equal. Good thing you laid on hands.

The female Ogre takes a pair of javelins and flings them across the fallen body of the sixth Kreeg and at the Dwarf Cavalier. The first sails harmlessly overhead. The second one glances off Brandark's armor.

Edit: On that note, Severo was targeting the southmost Kreeg with his smite attacks. I thought the female one had advanced to that position (He wouldn't be able to smite her from here anyway), so his AC would be 27 vs. the 25 to hit him.


With the Smite Evil against Red Ogre 8, it would have missed Severo in Round Six. Severo could save his LoH in Round Seven. I will adjust in the next recap.
