The map became out of position. It is easy to do. It happens to me all the time. I have found if you use the "back" button feature you can undo your activity. This helps to re-position the map.
Round Two Start
Elektra hits the blinded Hill Giant with an Acid Arrow.
Devora begins to tell the tale of our brave heroes. She moves up some as well.
Brandark charges the fourth Kreeg Ogre slicing into its vile flesh with his mighty axe.
As the Dwarf Cavalier approaches the fourth Ogre takes a swing at Brandark. Its blow is stopped by the Cavalier's Full Platemail.
Kreeg Ogre 4, +1 ogre hook: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (5) + 16 = 212d8 + 13 ⇒ (5, 8) + 13 = 26
Stone charges into combat too next to Brandark. He slices into the fourth Kreeg with his scimitar.
Took the liberty to change Stone's actions due to the map problem. A charge was the only way Stone could reach the fourth Kreeg and get in that critical hit. He would not have had the second attack. Just as well, he likely would have dropped his scimitar. :P
Hearing Devora recite heroic tales emboldens the Half-Orc Paladin. He puts a little extra charge into his arrow. The arrow sticks into the fourth Kreeg. The Ogres staggers and falls.
Every little bit helps. Severo's original attack would have missed but with the extra +2, he hit. And with the extra +2 damage, it was just enough to send the Ogre to unconsciousness.
Flynn is heroic.
The Hill Giant whines and whimpers trying to remove the Glitterdust from its eyes. It begins to see again. Its whimpering slows.
Hill Giant's Will Save: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (18) + 3 = 21
A fifth Kreeg tries to get at the Human that has entered the fray. It has to step over its unconscious brother to get at the Cleric.
Kreeg Ogre 5, +1 ogre hook, PA: 1d20 + 16 - 3 ⇒ (6) + 16 - 3 = 192d8 + 13 + 6 ⇒ (4, 1) + 13 + 6 = 24
The Ogre has a ten foot reach, so would not have provoked an AoO. Its movement over the fallen Kreeg though is considered difficult terrain, so it would not have been able to get its full attack.

I have had that happen before as well. Because of that I have gotten in the habit of checking periodically anyway.

The Inquisitor missed with his first arrow as the fourth Kreeg fell over unconscious. But, Flynn was indeed heroic as he buried an arrow deep into the fifth Kreeg Ogre with his second arrow.

Severo roars as he rushes his target. It's hard to tell if this is just an intimidation tactic, or reciting a holy word. He moves with a new grace into a full sprint past the ogre on the stairs, headed for the ogres flank with his falchion in hand.
When you get a decent look at it, it does look like a really big scimitar.
Run action, swift action to cast grace. It doesn't do what I thought it did, but I can use it at least.

Benefit: Whenever you are adjacent to an ally who also has this feat, you receive a +4 circumstance bonus on attacks of opportunity against creatures that you both threaten.
Enemies that provoke attacks of opportunity from your ally also provoke attacks of opportunity from you so long as you threaten them (even if the situation or an ability would normally deny you the attack of opportunity). This does not allow you to take more than one attack of opportunity against a creature for a given action.

Round Three
Hill Giant takes more damage from Elektra's previous Acid Arrow.
Elektra's Acid Arrow Round 2: 2d4 ⇒ (1, 3) = 4
Elektra fires another Acid Arrow at the Hill Giant. It strikes the Hill Giant's throat area. The big hulk whimpers loudly in pain.
@Elektra - Your previous Acid Arrow was at the Hill Giant too.
As Devora continues to recite her epic tale, she stumbles on the stairs missing her bow shot.
Brandark hacks deeply with his first swing. The Dwarf Cavalier catches some additional flesh with his back swing.
As Brandark continues his assault, the Cleric lays a hand on the Dwarf Cavalier. Healing energies flow from Stone onto Brandark.
Severo moves to flank the fifth Kreeg Ogre, giving himself a little Cat's Grace in the process. The Half-Orc Paladin sees two more dust covered Kreegs moving up toward another flight of steps heading down.
The fifth Kreeg takes a reactionary attack on the Half-Orc Paladin, but misses overhead with its wicked hook weapon.
Kreeg 5 AoO: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (3) + 16 = 192d8 + 13 ⇒ (1, 6) + 13 = 20

Brandark takes 22 points of damage.
The sixth and seventh Kreegs move closer to the steps heading deeper into the depths.
Flynn then sticks an arrow through the fifth Kreegs Hide Armor. The fifth Ogre falls down unconscious and begins to die.
The Hill Giant takes a step and swings a couple of times at the Half-Orc Paladin with a massive greatclub. The first blow glances off Severo's armor. But the second blow pounds solidly the Half-Orc Paladin.

When I first read it, I thought it let me move in the span of the swift action casting. I wondered why it wasn't the single most popular spell, when I realized I was just reading Grace super wrong. Also, can I add a Lay on Hands to my last post? I still have the action, but forgot to do it.
Brandark Plainswalker |
Shaking his head from the hooked axe coming down on his helmet, Brandark quickly wipes the blood from his eyes as the healing energies close the worst of his cuts.

Elektra keeps flicking arrows off her Acid Arrow wand. The next arrow misses the big lug splashing on the wall behind it. The Hill Giant does take further acid damage from the previous Acid Arrow.
Devora continues to recite her epic poem. She then moves behind Brandark and provide a little extra touch of healing.
Brandark moves into position to take on the next wave of Kreeg Ogres. He drinks a potion that provides enough healing to allow him to be fully restored.
Stone will move up and cast a Hold Person on the Hill Giant.

DESCRIPTION
You draw down holy power to smite your enemies. Only evil and neutral creatures are harmed by the spell; good creatures are unaffected.
The spell deals 1d8 points of damage per two caster levels (maximum 5d8) to each evil creature in the area (or 1d6 points of damage per caster level, maximum 10d6, to an evil outsider) and causes it to become blinded for 1 round. A successful Will saving throw reduces damage to half and negates the blinded effect.
The spell deals only half damage to creatures who are neither good nor evil, and they are not blinded. Such a creature can reduce that damage by half (down to one-quarter of the roll) with a successful Will save

Round Five
Elektra works to weave a spell.
Devora continues to recite her epic poem. But the arrow she fired does little more than stick into a Kreeg's armor.
Brandark steps toward the newly arrived sixth Kreeg. He slices, then dices. The dicing was particularly deep. It severely injures the sixth Kreeg Ogre.
Stone has nothing but Holy Smite for these Kreeg Ogres.

Two of the Kreegs resisted Stone's Smite. But the sixth Kreeg did not and falls over unconscious with the combination of Brandark's powerful attack and Stone's Holy spell.
Severo lays on hands, takes a step, and bops the seventh Kreeg. His second bop does not penetrate the Ogres Hide Armor.
The seventh Kreeg, with its wicked Ogre Hook, slashes with all its might at the Half-Orc Paladin. It slices into Severo with its first attack, but misses on the backhand slash.

The Kreegs attack back, the seventh on Brandark, red eight on Severo. The seventh one get another hook into Brandark, but the blow was not quite as deep.
Red Eight cuts into the Half-Orc Paladin with its first wicked strike, then misses Severo on the rebound.

Flynn sinks two arrows deep into the Eighth Red Ogre.
The female Kreeg runs back to retrieve more javelins.

You are still standing and go before the last two male Kreegs. Good luck!
Devora Heidmarch |
Devora begins adding lines to her epic poem. She then fires a magic arrow at the seventh Kreeg Ogre. It sticks into the brute. Devora jumps briefly with excitement.

Severo Lione |
Severo continues to relentlessly pound down on the ogre ogre #8 as it would seem I was mistaken about the ogre Sev could reach. while he closes his wounds.
LoH 5/9 remaining: 3d6 + 6 ⇒ (2, 6, 1) + 6 = 15
Att 1: 1d20 + 19 ⇒ (17) + 19 = 36
Dam: 2d4 + 24 ⇒ (4, 1) + 24 = 29
Att 2: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (6) + 14 = 20
Dam: 2d4 + 24 ⇒ (4, 1) + 24 = 29
Edit: On that note, Severo was targeting the southmost Kreeg with his smite attacks. I thought the female one had advanced to that position (He wouldn't be able to smite her from here anyway), so his AC would be 27 vs. the 25 to hit him.

Almost Over! 2 left, lets clean this up Flynn calls out confidently firing two more arrows

Round Seven
The Hound Archon steps up and attacks the seventh Kreeg Ogre. The noble Hound missed its first mighty swing, but lands a critical blow with the rebound.
Elektra hits the eight one with a Magic Missile. It stumbles and falls.
Devora puts an arrow into the seventh Kreeg. It too stumbles and falls.
Brandark and Stone do heroic stuff.
Severo and Flynn are equally heroic.
The female Ogre sees the other two fall, decides its time to be somewhere else. She runs toward and down the tunnel.
