Sorry it took so long for me to get to responding to all you guys now that everyone has posted an intro. Work ran late since we were so busy, then I had to pick up my sister from where she works, since a friend had to take her to work due to car troubles, and she needed me to take her back to her place. I'll be making two separate posts, so just sit tight with me if you were waiting.
Pretty much what Demetrian just said. I will admit that I would like it to be a little faster, myself, but I can understand that there may be real-life issues that keep certain people from posting more frequently' I, myself, have been having internet problems on my end for several days now, with it only having been an hour ago that I got a reliable connection back. I honestly think it will speed up a little once contracts start getting handed out, but for now, I am alright with waiting at least a week before moving things forward an inch. When no one has posted anything for more than two weeks is when I start to get frustrated.
I have made a decision now, since I am now getting frustrated with the pace of the game; I will not wait on anyone that needs to post anymore. The game will continue without anyone that isn't posting, and they will remain as behind as they choose to be.
And I just realized that I messed up and Babette didn't say which city they're going to. It should've been said they were going to Whiterun. I think I had it said, then had to redo it because I didn't like a line, and forgot to put the city back in. Apologies.
You don't have to think so hard about it; just say what you want Mikhail to do, and let me worry about how it should go. But, yes, stealth is the call for that.
Anyway, you two should probably come up with a game plan right about now. You don't have to worry about it being out in the open; no one is really paying attention to them.
It depends on your skill in lockpicking on how often the pick will break. I will actually roll a secret die for it, since it's hard to determine without a random chance. Just don't think too hard about it, though; main point is to try it out and see how it goes. As far as money for right now, it doesn't really matter too much. Given the backstory provided, it's safe to say that Mikhail may have some money, but not enough to buy the house for sale. Perhaps enough to buy a sturdy weapon if he wanted, or a few potions/poisons.
It's still fairly light outside, just during sunset, so I don't see a real need for Mikhail to use Night-Eye. But, yes, there's some light and sound emitted from spell casting, but not enough from anything other than Destruction spells that would draw any notice from anyone more than two feet away.
And please, I've been trying to emphasize this, but there's no need to be so overly cautious right now. Just do what you want to do; there's no "messing up" right now, as I have contingencies for just about any situation that could possibly come up, save for just going to the guard and admitting you're assassins and want to go to jail.
Yeah, Happy Memorial Day. Sorry about my absence and not continuing with the story for the past few days. A lot of things have been going on behind the scenes, and I haven't been able to make the time. It's only because I realized that I hadn't mentioned anything that brings me here. I don't know when I can get back to it, but rest assured that I will. It'll probably be sometime in the near future, but I can't say for sure.
I don't know much about it, other than I have no idea where 9 went. My computer crashed one day, then it told me to get Windows 10 on my dashboard. I never even got 8; been on 7 for a while.
Also, sorry about it taking me so long to get things rolling again. Hopefully I can be more consistent for the rest of the week, but I can't make any guarantees.
