The ruined siege castles outside Absalom have long beckoned
adventurers looking to make a name for themselves. Now an
earthquake has cracked open one of these fabled ruins, and
its lost mysteries and fantastic treasures lie exposed for
the first time in centuries.

Racks for weapons line the walls of this chamber; above the racks hang various shields, pieces of armor, weapons, and standards on display. Most of the racks are empty, but a few weapons remain in place. A horrible stench fills the room as well, akin to the smell of rotten eggs mixed with the reek of an open sewer.

The pathfinders see two young Troglodyte Guards standing in the room, they look frightened but are ready to fight.

How do you do damage if you're grappling Natsume?

Grand Lodge

Actions: ◇ ◆ ◆◆ ◆◆◆ ↺

Willow was surprised by the Troglodyte running to the door in her direction that she missed her chance to stop it.

I just went through the rules, I think dealing damage is only possible in the next round after the creatue could be sucessfully held in grapple (is that a correct sentence?).

The rules say "As a standard action, you can attempt to grapple a foe, hindering his combat options....Once you are grappling an opponent, a successful check allows you to continue grappling the foe, and also allows you to perform one of the following actions (as part of the standard action spent to maintain the grapple)." So I think grapple is a standard action in one round and holding the opponent and dealing damage can be done in the next round. Unless there is a feat or special ability which I somehow missed.
