Oh for sure, on the reread it was perfectly clear, I think I was just stuck on her initial landing scene, so it didn't click for me until you talked to the cops.
Just one of those moments that left me mentally re-drawing the panels of the campaign lol.

Btw Default, would it be appropriate for Hashtag or me to take a more proactive step towards helping Whippoorwill since both our posts were primarily about arriving on the scene?

I think Eli's in the 'live with what you have done' camp. He could juice himself to try and break the ropes without even needing to roll, but that's not functionally different from untying the ropes, and this doesn't feel like the kind of game where those cosmetic differences are important to determine the outcome.

Well, the weekend whisked me off more that I planned. I think I might have time enough tonight to put a really good scene together, but you guys do have until I post to add on to your own posts. by the latest, most likely, by Monday.

On that note, Bran would also happily take assistance (and a point from the Team Pool) from Thor Girl as well as #someone :)

Hey GM, since PbP has a more freeform execution of "sessions," how would you prefer to handle 1/session abilities like The Mask?

I am going to be out of town for an work conference that I was asked to go on last minute. I will be out of town through Friday (the 27th). There will be internet a the hotel, but the schedule will be really hectic and I won't have a lot of time to post.

So I was wondering, does Eli now look 21? Or was that a representation of him shortening his lifespan? Just trying to keep my mental images straight.

Good question! He looks pretty much the same. It's just shortening his lifespan. His body hasn't matured any faster, but as this premature aging continues, he won't heal as quickly, and eventually he may get wrinkles and show other signs of cellular aging. If he over does it to the terminal point, he'll end up like the shriveled husk he saw in a potential-future in Hashtag's Inbetween.

That's what I figured, but with the "older men" line, I wanted to make sure I had that straight.

I wanted to take Dangerous Web, but I think that relies on another playbook's 'mechanic' to work, which makes me wonder what CAN I really take with that... cause otherwise that advancement is pretty much totally useless and a waste of print space.

Hashtag, I think you have a lot of options when it comes from moves to take from other playbooks. Sure there are a few moves that are a bit 'playbook' focused, but I think each one (except the doomed and nova) have at least a couple moves each that you could pilfer for an advancement.

As for Dangerous Web, I see no reason why that couldn't work for you. If its the web thing, that's just thematic language. If its the trap thing, I have no doubts Hashtag can be tricky as heck.

If you do retcon, just be mindful not to overwrite anyone's post. Mine are fine, but I've had players get annoyed with constant rewinding.

There's nothing I've used yet that involves my advancement, so I haven't really needed to worry about it. However the Dangerous Web move is from the Janus:

I don't have a label; the Janus does. I can't take a Nova move; they require burn. I can't take Protege moves; they require a mentor. I can't take from Doomed; I have no Doomsign. That's half the playbooks, not counting mine.

Feels like one of those choices that sounds cool at first, but starts becoming less cool the more you actually look at it. Which is a shame, because Dangerous Web is totally something that Hashtag would use.

Vick actually brought an entire party with him, in costumes. It's like his favorite holiday EVER. So after collecting candy all night he shows up at school the next day carrying a full pillowcase of candy. He has like 2 more at home. He does give out a bunch of it, though.

He maaaay have also illusioned like 2 dozen extra costumed trick or treaters to help collect. And crashed like 3 parties.

Wingblade would be on patrol with Whippoorwill. But if she were allowed to dress up, she'd go as Mercy from Overwatch.

I think Eli would get a lot of mileage out of all the build-up. Haunted houses are more fun when you can convince your mind that they're real. He'd probably take it easy on Halloween itself, staying in with his dad and watching old monster movies. His dad gets a kick out of hosting a sensory illusion of Elvira in their living room. In recent years, it's become something of a family ritual to watch Young Frankenstein. Eli used to really enjoy the original, but ever since getting his powers, it touches a nerve.

Lessee.. Bran really just needs a German accent to go as Reinhardt, Hashtag-Hanzo could actually summon up a Spirit Dragon on demand, if Bioshock keeps pushing his powers he'll be a shoe in for Soldier 76, and if we get Thor Girl in a monkey suit she can provide the lightning...

That string of failures a little bit ago gave me full potential for another advancement. So I went ahead and picked "Rearrange your Labels as you choose, and add +1 to a Label."

Kicked her Mundane way up, since she's feeling a lot less powerful while she's healing.

So how obvious is it that the couple of times Mary-Beth's talked Bronwyn into a game of Pathfinder she ended up playing the Paladin :p

So since Halloween costumes seemed fun: how about Thanksgiving?

These days the Thanksgiving table isn't quite as PACKED as it used to be. A bunch of Bronwyn's brothers and sisters are already married (and two of them have kids - yikes!), so it's not uncommon for only about half her siblings to be at the same table in a given year. (Gabriel's going to college locally, so he's pretty reliably around, but aside from that it's whoever doesn't need to score points with an SO).

Her dad is incapable of cooking a Thanksgiving meal that feeds less than 20 (Pavochon stuffed with mofongo as the centerpiece), no matter how many people are actually coming, so Mom has started encouraging the kids to invite people too. Marco's come a couple of times, but this'll be the first one since he asked her out, and after watching her parents with all of her siblings' boyfriends and girlfriends, she's expecting it to be a mortifying experience (Some of her siblings are eagerly awaiting her turn in the hot-seat).

She's also trying to figure out how to answer the annual, "What are you most thankful for this year." Marco? New friends? Old friends? Being a super hero?

Probably not that last one...

(Oh, and since this is in a wibbly-wobbly timeframe, Bronwyn would definitely invite The Team over once she was known to be Bran/be associated with Bran. So Shayera and Skuld (or whoever else) would have a place to go if they wanted)
