Good guy Uruelleth, sharing the loot. : ) Thank you for continuing to track that, Vorya.

Before the dream fades, the Queen responds to each of you.

I’m listing her replies in the order y’all posted, which actually works out since she would have been able to ‘dream’ to you all at the same time (except Talivar).

To Talia, she says, Not Driara… I hand picked her. I’m so sorry. Know of no one from the Hermitage or this Lork. The mission must succeed. Carry on.

To Kilarra, she says, I’m so sorry. I’m stunned about Driara. Trust each other. There’s no turning back now. Please find a way to kill Achaekek.

To Vorya, she says, I’m shocked but thankful you’re alive. Continue to Ilizmagorti. You must meet your contact and find a way forward. Godspeed to you and the others.

To Uruelleth, she says, I’m grateful you made it to the island. Push forward to Ilizmagorti. Find Queen Galfrey’s man. Don’t give up and trust each other.

To Talivar, she says, Know nothing of that man. After Driara, can’t say who you should trust, but you will need allies. Trust each other and decide for yourselves.

Other than your common dream, the night passes uneventfully and you all awaken the next day refreshed and ready to resume the chase.

Lork, for his part, remains tied to a tree. He doesn’t look any better than the night before. It doesn’t appear he got much sleep.

Once Lork realizes you’re all awake, he says, “Thank you for not killing me. I know you may yet do so, but thank you for at least considering letting me live. It’s more than the Red Mantis would do.”

Kilarra, Uruelleth, and Vorya are all confident they can easily resume following the tracks. It’s likely that, barring any major delays, you’ll be able to catch up to the goblins a bit later today.

Anything else y’all want to do before resuming the chase (such as talking to Lork or discussion your dreams)?

Vorya stretches and faces the morning, tropical sun. It was already growing hot and steamy.

Then, having made up his mind he walks over to Lork and pulls out his wand of Cure Light Wounds. Before anyone can objector stop him, he taps the man three times.

Heal: 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10
Heal: 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9
Heal: 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10

Vorya grunts and puts the wand away, 'There. Now we won't have to carry him into battle when he collapses later today."

You're too trusting. Kilarra thinks at Vorya--yet another mental message left unheard.

She stands up, stretches, pulls some rations out of her bag and eats sitting in her folding chair. After a moment's hesitation she tosses some rations into Lork's lap, thought she doesn't untie him. She packs her gear up quickly, then pulls out her waterskins and drinks deeply.

Holding her empty waterskin up to the others she remarks, "I'm going to get a refill before we leave. Anyone else need water?" She holds out her hands to take any offered waterskins, then wanders off to refill them.

Survival: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (19) + 7 = 26 Water wasn't too far off, right?

She returns a while later and tosses out full waterskins to the group.

"Ready, yet?" she asks.

After drinking some of the water Kilarra found, Talivar eats a spartan breakfast of hard tack and cheese. When they where ready to set off, he grabbed his metamagic rod and whispered a spell and the ghostly outline of amour glimmered over his body before vanishing. He's cast extended mage armor, will last 10 hours.

"Ready as I'll ever be." he replied before giving Lork a hunk of cheese. Quietly he added, "We do have an obligation to look after him you know, even if we don't trust him."

GM Rolls:

Vorya, unless I’m missing something, you would only get +1 to all your wand casts. Still a good amount of healing, but not quite as much.

Water was close by, Kilarra. You found it just fine. : )

“Thank you,” Lork says with a smile to Vorya after the inquisitor heals him. He looks better, but still appears to be a bit injured from the previous day's fight.

After Kilarra tosses him rations, Lork nods in her direction, but doesn’t try to eat them yet given his current state. Eventually, one of you unties him and he eats the rations Kilarra offered and the cheese from Talivar.

“Thank you,” he says simply again.

Just before everyone is ready to go, Lork disappears for a few moments. Everyone spot him only a few seconds later, however, as he takes a few gulps of water from the nearby stream.

“Sorry,” he says after finishing, “Food wouldn’t do much good without water to go along with it.” He holds up a now full waterskin of his own that he apparently had since you initially met him.

He eyes his pair of blades at Kilarra’s side and seems to be on the verge of saying something, but appears to stay his tongue at the last moment.

Lork seems a bit uncertain as to whether or not Kilarra’s question was actually directed at him, but he still replies, “I’m ready.”

With a hasty breakfast consumed, you all set out to follow the same trail from yesterday. You hustle through the jungle, brushing past dozens of exotic trees and shrubs. The jungle canopy is thick above. It’s hard to even see the sun through the leaves of the trees.

You travel for nearly three hours before you begin to hear voices in the distance. Uruelleth recognizes that they are speaking in Goblin. You come to a halt near a clearing. You've all taken 3 points of non-lethal damage from the hustle.

As you peek into the clearing, you see a small encampment near the center. Five monkey goblins sit around a fire that seems to barely be burning. More unique, however, are the two animals nearby. Both are wearing saddles for riding and appear capable of inflicting a significant amount of damage on their own.

Lork looks at the scene along with you and whispers, “A rearguard. Goblins may seem dumb, but they aren't completely without strategy. We have to be close to your people and the villagers.

"At least a couple of those goblins are Spikespurs. We need to keep them from mounting, if at all possible. They’ll be much more dangerous if they manage to.”

The monkey goblins seem to be arguing amongst themselves.

Goblin:

"You really must have pissed Lupi off for her to put us on rearguard duty. We weren't scheduled to be on it for another week!"

"Yeah, yeah. We woulda been on it eventually, anyways. You'd complain no matter where she put us."

"Both of you, shut up. We're doing just fine. If you keep complainin' she'll put us on rearguard next week. I'd rather get a chance to mess with prisoners, so stop complainin'."

"He's right, ya know? We could do a lot worse. We'll be at Ganda-Uj soon enough and it won't matter then. Just try not to make the dinos mad."

"Yeah, yeah. Whatever you say."

I know there are a lot of spoilers below, but you only need to roll one perception check and one Knowledge (nature) check then view the spoilers you rolled high enough for. There’s a lot going on at this scene. Haha. Also, there will be a map for this, but I want to see what you see before I upload it.

DC 20 Perception:
You hear someone approaching from the west (your current left). They aren’t coming from the camp (which is to the north).

DC 21 Perception:
You spot one goblin in the tree canopy above. He’s about 30 feet up in a tree and a bit camouflaged by tree leaves.

DC 25 Perception:
You notice three tiny spikes on each foot of two of the goblins sitting around the fire.

DC 31 Perception:
You notice a second goblin in the tree canopy. He is especially well-disguised and seems to be surveying the area surrounding the encampment. He's also about 30 feet off the ground in a tree.

DC 10 Knowledge (nature):
These animals are velociraptors, a type of dinosaur. They have vicious, snapping jaws and feet that end in large talons for gutting prey.

DC 15 Knowledge (nature):
They also have the ability to perform a leaping charge which allows them to avoid difficult terrain. When a velociraptor charges in this way, it deals double damage with its talons. They also have evasion.
A smaller cousin of the deinonychus, the velociraptor is a swift, cunning pack hunter. It has no fear of Medium or even Large creatures. Its leaping charge attack grants it a significant advantage against foes in thick underbrush.

Talia casts Heightened Awareness, fully aware that combat will likely break out shortly as she glances around her surroundings.

Perception: 1d20 + 18 + 2 ⇒ (20) + 18 + 2 = 40

"Two goblins in the tree above, about 30 feet in the air. The two goblins sitting around the fire have spikes on their feet, which means likely riders for the creatures. Someone is also currently heading from our left. Now, I can cast Entangle which restricts the area within 40 feet, which should hopefully be a large enough distance to prevent a mounted charge. I could also fire lightning at the goblins in the air, but that would give away our presence, and wouldn't be particularly swift at eliminating them."

Read all spoilers. When combat breaks out, I'll trigger Heightened Awareness for +4 on the init check.

GM: Would casting Communal Protection from Evil make noise or alert the goblins?

Do you guys think this fight demands that spell be used? It boosts AC and saving throws from evil things, which the goblins are but the dinos may not be.

Talivar noted Talia's spell casting and he thought that was a fine idea. Holding his special amethyst crystal, he concentrated and words and images blossomed in his mind. Suddenly everything became sharper as his eyesight and senses improved. He's also casting Heightened Awareness for the same reason.

Perception: 1d20 + 10 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 10 + 2 = 27
Talivar could also see much of the same things Talia had although he missed the second super stealthy goblin. He nodded and put his finger to his lips, "Quietly" he whispered, it was possible they hadn't been spotted yet.

Entangle was a good idea, assuming Talia could catch multiple targets so Talivar nodded at this plan. Motioning with his hands, he mimed going left to intercept whoever was coming from that direction.

Hard to say Vorya, could be useful, this has the making of a difficult fight. On the other hand I doubt it'll be our only one today so best not to use too many resources.

Uruelleth doesn't see any of the goblins in the trees, but he doesn't care. He focuses on the dinosaurs, excited to fight something he'd never fought before.

He takes out his bow, a heavy thing with a thick recurve designed for someone with a lot of strength. While he relishes physical, hand to hand combat, he recognizes the usefulness of fighting from range.

He nocks an arrow and lets it fly when Talia's spell is cast.

Talia concentrates, preparing to cast her spell before a thought strikes her.

"I'll restrict the movement of the creatures on the ground, but can we try and focus on eliminating the goblins in the trees. While not really an attacking threat, I don't want them alerting the entire goblin city by successfully escaping. Take them out and I'll try and prevent the ones on the ground from running away as well."

I'd prefer you save the spell Vorya. The most threatening thing the goblins could do right now, is immediately run away which serves to warn everyone we are coming and puts them on high alert. The next most threatening thing is them successfully getting on a charge and attacking. If I can stop the charge from happening with Entangle, then the AC provided by the spell isn't going to come into play very often. I'd really prefer we take out the two goblins in the tree's, since I cannot stop them from running or attacking with Entangle and therefore present the most obvious threat.

GM if I point out the goblins in the trees can the rest of the party see him?

Vorya, if you decide to use your communal spell, you'll need to back up a bit to avoid being heard. If you attack right afterwards, the duration will just be down by 2 rounds. From Talia's Knowledge (nature) check, you would also know that raptors are typically neutral in alignment unless altered in some way. These look like normal raptors, albeit trained ones.

You can keep your attack and damage rolls, Uruelleth, but I’m guessing you would hold off your attack for a second after you see who arrives from the west. You can redirect your attack, if you prefer.

Talia, yes, you can easily point out the goblins to everyone else now that you’ve seen them.

Lork glances over nervously at the sounds of someone coming from the left. He looks over at Kilarra and says, “It’s now or never. If I’m going to help in this fight, I need a weapon… preferably two.”

Before Kilarra has a chance to respond, some of the jungle’s thick plants part and Makori emerges before you. She carries her rapier from the last time you saw her. The navigator looks a bit worse for wear with tattered clothes and a dirt-smudged face, but otherwise appears to be intact.

Makori sighs as she looks at all of you before coming over and crouching nearby. She whispers, “Good to see I wasn’t the only one who managed to make it off that ship without getting captured by bloody goblins. I was trying to figure out how I was going to take on the lot single-handedly when I saw you traipsing through the jungle. It’s a small miracle the goblins didn’t.”

She glances over at Lork, but apparently decides against asking about him. Instead, she says, “The main goblin camp is a mile or two ahead. They’re stopped for a lunch break of sorts. Though really they’re stopped because the prisoners couldn’t run anymore and the goblins can’t carry them. We’d better hurry if we’re going to take these out and make it to the others before they resume their march.”

Makori glances at all of you again before saying, “I assume the Captain didn’t make it? If so, it’s up to you to make sure I get paid. And I bloody well better after this fiasco. But assuming I’m still breathing after this mess, I’ll get you to Ilizmagorti. It’s only a couple days’ journey away.”

Uploaded the combat map to the Maps slides. A few things about the map: the dark blue and red goblins are the ones 30 ft up in the trees, the orange and yellow goblins are the ones with spikes on their feet. The red square is the goblins’ fire. Most squares on the map you can move through normally except for the ones mostly covered with black splotches. Those are tree trunks so you can’t pass through them. Also, the squares with fallen trees and rocks count as difficult terrain. You can move at normal speed through them with a DC 15 Acrobatics check. You can also balance (and walk) on the fallen trees with a separate DC 15 Acrobatics check (two DC 15 checks to do so). The fallen trees don't obstruct sight lines for the purposes of ranged attacks and spells. If you want to try climbing a tree, it’s a DC 20 Climb check to do so. You can’t take 10 or 20 on the check while in combat.

"Makori, you stay here. Obviously you have some skills, to have survived so long, but I think it is better for us to do the fighting. "

Seeing Urelleth raise his bow, the inquisitor nods. "Talia, let's do this."

As soon as things happen, I'm running around to the left, to try and corral them a bit.

Vorya sends a mental note to Kilarra, Throw Lork a blade. If he turns on us, then we know. If he doesn't, we can disarm him after. All the help we can get.

Talivar listens to Makori's speech and a flicker of doubt goes through his mind, 'How did she evade capture, keep up with the goblins and not get caught?'

Makori wrote:

Somewhat incredulously he interjects, "Wait. How much money did they promise you? It must have been a lot if you're willing to do all this..."

Vorya wrote:

Talivar turns to catch Vorya's eye, "I'm sure she appreciates the sentiment but that may not be tactically wise. I wouldn't be surprised if she could take Kilarra in a fair fight."

He glances back at Makori, checking to see if she still has her enchanted blade.

"I agree. She should fight if she wishes," Uruelleth says. He was surprised to see Makori, and had his own suspicions that he decided not to voice. It was frustrating how many agents the Mantises had managed to slip into the crew, so he wasn't entirely sure if they should trust anyone from the ship.

He considers this fight compared to the fight ahead at the camp. "Should you save your entangling spell for the larger fight, or can you use that spell more than once today?"

Maps | Info | Loot | Talia's Journal

At Kilarra’s words, Lork closes his eyes for a moment and frowns before opening them and saying to her, “Sooner or later you’re going to have to decide to trust me or kill me. For your sake, I hope you won’t need my help in the fights to come.”

Lork sits down and leans against a tree. He doesn’t speak further.

To Talivar’s question, Makori says, “I would rather not get caught up in the details at the moment. Suffice it to say that it was a five-figure sum. And, if you must know, I’m not a particularly big fan of the Mantis either.”

Makori’s blade is in her hand so Talivar can see that it’s the same finely-engraved masterwork quality rapier she had on the ship.

“You’re crazy if you think I’m just going to stand here. Yes, I’ll fight. Especially since we have a chance of winning now.”

I’ll give y’all till around this time tomorrow to clear up any final details you may want to discuss (unless it turns out you need more time). Then I’ll roll initiative and you’ll all get a surprise round action plus round 1 actions for whoever had higher rolls than your foes. It’s so hard to know who to trust, huh?

Kilarra's good to go now. Talia can entangle, Vorya's moving around to surround them, Ruel and Kilarra are firing at the ones in the tree, Talivar's using his magic on the one in the tree. Makori's theoretically stabbing something, and Lork's pouting.

Does anyone need more time? I figured we were ready.

Initiative (Goblins & Raptors): 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (8) + 8 = 16

I added the Heightened Awareness bonus for Talia and Talivar’s checks.

You can cast any spells you want to before combat begins but for anything that has a duration in rounds, subtract 2 to account for backing up to do so to avoid alerting the goblins and raptors.

Everyone can take their surprise round action(s). Everyone can also take their round 1 action(s) except Kilarra. For simplicity's sake, I'll have Makori and Lork delay so they'll go after most of you act (and just before the enemies go).

Maybe the goblins (and raptors) will actually put up a fight this time. : )

GM do you count vertical distance when it comes to spell ranges? That's one thing there's considerable table variance on, although many tables can't be bothered with the Trig.

Surprise round
Talivar had to scoot around the side of the battlefield to get where he needed to be. The goblin, hiding in the tree to the west was undoubtedly an archer. Tactically sound, but the fall was a long way...

Talivar had to get closer than he liked to the mass of goblins, so as silently as possible he crept over towards a tree to the west. He was no ranger and he cursed inwardly as his clumsy feet rustled the leaves and snagged against tree roots.

Round 1
'Who am I kidding? he thought, surely they must have hard that!? His heart was pounding as he hid behind the tree. Catching his breath, he risked looking round and quickly spotted the goblin in the western tree. More to himself than anything, Talivar whispered "Get down from there!" And then he pushed within himself, feeling the tiny channels in his veins linking him with the vast freezing boreal sea. Suddenly a torrent of water jetted out, aimed squarely for the goblin!

Maps | Info | Loot | Talia's Journal

Talivar, I think it is more realistic to account for their height in some way otherwise the benefit of being at an elevated position is lessened. That said, I’m pretty terrible at math and I shudder just thinking of trigonometry, so I’ll be trusting y’all for some of the calculations. Suffice it to say for now that the monkey goblins in the trees are definitely farther away than monkey goblins in the same square on the ground.
Uruelleth, yes, you’re allowed to see the goblins in the trees since Talia spotted them. I’ll have you attack the red one based on your current positioning. And you just barely managed to get your arcane strike damage in before I posted. lol

Surprise Round

Talia immediately casts Entangle centred around the goblins around the campfire. I drew the 40’ radius on the map. I apologize that it looks a bit sloppy, but I did it manually. Please note that if you move within that area, you must immediately make a DC 16 Reflex save or you’ll have to cease your movement and gain the entangled condition. The area outlined also counts as difficult terrain now. See the Entangle spell description for more details. I placed it where it wouldn't hit Vorya since he would have seen its effects before acting himself and I think Talia would have avoided hitting him anyway.

Reflex Saves:

Orange Goblin: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (12) + 5 = 17
Yellow Goblin: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (18) + 5 = 23
Green Goblin: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5
Light Blue Goblin: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (13) + 4 = 17
Purple Goblin: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5
Red Raptor: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (14) + 7 = 21
Blue Raptor: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (20) + 7 = 27

Most of the goblins and both of the raptors manage to avoid the vines that try to grasp them, but the green and purple goblins both become entangled.

Uruelleth takes out his bow, a heavy thing with a thick recurve designed for someone with a lot of strength. While he relishes physical, hand to hand combat, he recognizes the usefulness of fighting from range. He nocks an arrow and lets it fly when Talia's spell is cast. His arrow hits and the red goblin lets out a yelp, but remains in the tree.
Talivar had to scoot around the side of the battlefield to get where he needed to be. The goblin, hiding in the tree to the west was undoubtedly an archer. Tactically sound, but the fall was a long way… Talivar had to get closer than he liked to the mass of goblins, so as silently as possible he crept over towards a tree to the west. He was no ranger and he cursed inwardly as his clumsy feet rustled the leaves and snagged against tree roots. The goblin turns toward the noise and spots the sorcerer. Dark Blue Goblin Perception: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (10) + 5 = 15 I won’t give the goblin a surprise round action, but he won’t be flat-footed against your round 1 spell.
Vorya leaps into action as Kilarra fires her arrow. You would only be able to move 30 ft during the surprise round, but assuming you moved around the clearing a bit before combat broke out, you would still be able to get in range to attack during round 1.

Makori moves toward one of the raptors and tries to leap over the fallen tree in her way. She easily hops over it and continues toward the blue raptor, rapier drawn. Makori Acrobatics: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (10) + 13 = 23
Lork remains seated as he surveys the battlefield.
Kilarra takes aim and fires an arrow at the goblin in the tree that she had been studying… and manages to hit the tree. At least you didn’t waste a good damage roll.

Round 1

Talia decides against acting for now.
Uruelleth fires off another shot at his target, then quickly moves to intercept any enemy that may not be entangled. His shot lands thanks to his opponent’s surprise, but the goblin remains in the tree.
Talivar, catching his breath, risked looking round and quickly spotted the goblin in the western tree. More to himself than anything, Talivar whispered "Get down from there!" And then he pushed within himself, feeling the tiny channels in his veins linking him with the vast freezing boreal sea. Suddenly a torrent of water jetted out, aimed squarely for the goblin! The goblin’s eyes wide as the torrent collides with its body, dislodging it from its perch in the tree. It falls and cries out as it crashes into the ground. Talivar, I moved you to approximately where you would have to be to cast the spell given its range. Upon crashing into the ground, the vines on the ground immediately attempt to entangle him. He manages to weasel his way out of the effects. Blue Goblin Reflex Save: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (19) + 4 = 23
Vorya, keeping Uruelleth close enough to help but also cutting off escape, rounds the group and attacks with his glaive. His blow hits, causing the raptor to snarl as it begins to bleed from a wound in its side.

Makori moves to stand next to the blue raptor, being careful to avoid the entangling ground. She stabs at it with her rapier and lands a decent hit. Makori Attack: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (14) + 12 = 26 Damage: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5
Lork remains seated.

Dark Blue Goblin stands to its feet and slowly moves through the vines to stand beside Talivar. It draws a small blade as it does so.
Red Goblin pulls out a bow of its own and fires as Uruelleth, the one who has managed to strike him twice. As it does so it seems to enrage and grasps its bow tighter. Its arrow strikes Uruelleth, sinking into the bloodrager’s shoulder. Longbow Attack: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (18) + 6 = 24Damage: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7
Orange Goblin slowly moves toward the red raptor, drawing a blade as it does so, then attempts to quickly mount it. He manages to do so. The goblin urges the red raptor forward, pointing toward Vorya. Ride Check to Fast Mount: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (11) + 11 = 22 Orange Goblin and Red Raptor are now in the same square so if you can attack one, you can attack the other.
Yellow Goblin also draws a blade as he moves slowly toward the blue raptor. He also attempts to quickly mount the raptor. He is able to do so. He flies into a rage before slashing at Makori with his blade. Makori barely manages to dodge out of the way. Ride Check to Fast Mount: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (11) + 11 = 22 Yellow Goblin Attack: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (10) + 9 = 19 Yellow Goblin and Blue Raptor are now in the same square.
Green Goblin tries to break free from the entanglement. It doesn’t quite manage to slip out of the vines so it is only able to inch forward toward Vorya and Makori. Escape Artist Check: 1d20 + 4 - 2 ⇒ (13) + 4 - 2 = 15
Light Blue Goblin moves toward Makori, drawing its blade as it does so. It rages then slashes at Makori once it nears her. It manages to strike her in the arm. Light Blue Goblin Attack: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (17) + 6 = 23Damage: 1d3 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6
Purple Goblin tries to break free from the entanglement but fails. It inches forward with the green goblin toward Vorya and Makori. Escape Artist Check: 1d20 + 4 - 2 ⇒ (3) + 4 - 2 = 5
Red Raptor jumps toward Vorya, its talons outstretched. The raptor dodges an attack of opportunity from the inquisitor but in doing so, it throws off its slash. Acrobatics to avoid AoO: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (15) + 12 = 27 Raptor Talon Attack: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (3) + 7 = 10
Blue Raptor unleashes a volley of attacks at Makori. The navigator manages to avoid two of the attacks, but the last talon rakes across her chest. Lork is not a monk nor an improvised weapons specialist. I can confirm.

Kilarra focuses her attention on the nearest goblin, studying his movements carefully. Finding an opening--she hopes--she fires an arrow at him. Her arrow bounces harmlessly off the goblin’s leather armor.
Talia triggers her Chant ability, keeping Misfortune active. Deciding that Misfortune was an excellent way at decreasing the hurt on her allies would take, she threw it out on Blue Raptor, trusting her companions to handle the red one if it proved problematic. The raptor proves to be particularly resistant to Talia’s hex. Blue Raptor Will Save: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (20) + 3 = 23 Red Raptor is a bit too far away.
Talia’s entangle spell continues to try to grasp her enemies.

Reflex Saves:

Light Blue Goblin: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (9) + 5 = 14
Blue Raptor: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (4) + 7 = 11

She’s able to successfully entangle both the light blue goblin and the blue raptor.
Uruelleth’s previous attack strikes the orange goblin, dealing a decent blow. With melee now within reach, Uruelleth drops his bow to the ground next to him and draws his wicked-looking falchion. Once it reaches his hands, it crackles with the same greenish energy that his bow had. He steps forward and takes a powerful swing against the same goblin he had wounded with his bowshot. His follow-up melee attack proves to be unsuccessful.
Talivar stared at the frozen goblin for a moment. He'd literally ice cubed him, which more than a little disturbing... The sounds of battle brought his attention back to the present, his companions were fighting a large group of goblins and dinosaurs.
If only there was something he could do, they where beyond the range of his water sprays. His brow furrowed, the thought of having to watch the fighting angered him greatly, he wanted to smite! Balling his hands into fists he pushed, nothing happened at first but suddenly something switched on in his mind like a metaphorical light, and at the same time a very real and incredibly bright light bloomed among the enemy, searing their vision and their very flesh!

Reflex Saves:

Green Goblin: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (16) + 4 = 20
Purple Goblin: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (16) + 4 = 20
Yellow Goblin: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (7) + 5 = 12
Yellow Goblin, Misfortune Reroll: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (20) + 5 = 25
Light Blue Goblin: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (19) + 4 = 23
Blue Raptor: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (13) + 7 = 20

All of the foes struck by the burst of radiance manage to avoid blindness except for the yellow goblin. All of the goblins do, however, cry out in pain from the burst of radiance. The raptor seems to be uninjured from the burst.
Vorya winces at the raptor attack. That hurt! He calls upon his divine protector and activates some healing. After that, he retreats behind Uruelleth and Makori. Thanks he mutters. I reduced your current damage by 1 in the current status section. Also, there are no half-elves here, just to clarify.
Makori looks disgusted at Vorya for retreating but doesn’t say anything. Shaking her head, she turns back to the blue raptor and stabs again. Her rapier connects. The raptor looks badly injured, but is still standing. Makori Attack: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (12) + 12 = 24 Damage: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8
Lork remains seated.

Orange goblin swings its small blade at Uruelleth. Its face spreads into a wide smile as it lands a vicious blow against the bloodrager. Orange Goblin Attack: 1d20 + 9 - 1 ⇒ (20) + 9 - 1 = 28Confirm Crit?: 1d20 + 9 - 1 ⇒ (12) + 9 - 1 = 20 Damage: 2d3 + 10 ⇒ (1, 3) + 10 = 14
Yellow goblin tries to hit Makori once again, but hex’s effects in combination with its blindness prove too great to overcome. Yellow Goblin Attack: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (6) + 9 = 15 Yellow Goblin Attack, Misfortune Reroll: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (19) + 9 = 28
Green Goblin tries to break free from the entanglement once again. It fails to do so and is only able to inch forward once again.Escape Artist Check: 1d20 + 4 - 2 ⇒ (6) + 4 - 2 = 8
Light Blue Goblin swings its tiny blade at Makori, but misses completely. Light Blue Goblin Attack: 1d20 + 6 - 1 ⇒ (1) + 6 - 1 = 6
Purple Goblin also fails once again to break free of the entanglement. It advances a bit more toward Vorya, Makori, and Uruelleth. Escape Artist Check: 1d20 + 4 - 2 ⇒ (13) + 4 - 2 = 15
Red Raptor takes a step to the side before biting and swiping at Uruelleth. It savages the elf.

"I have a spear, Makori. This how it works." He says to the disapproving woman. Then he attacks the blue raptor, hoping to kill it.

After he sends a mental message to Kilarra, Stop messing around with those arrows and get up here. For the gods sakes, they are blinded and entangled.

"Uruelleth, you ok?' He eyes the injured bloodrager, "Retreat behind me and we can swap, if we have to.

O.o Ouch...

Missing the goblin with his swing and then enduring a savage mauling from his foe set Uruelleth's blood boiling. Enraged, he this time swings hard against the raptor and hating the fact that he could only kill one at a time.

As Vorya's whining echoes in her head Kilarra scowls. Yeah, cause getting gutted by a dinosaur like you looks like so much fun. Ass.

Noticing Ruel about to fall over Killarra growls. She draws a sawtooth sabre and moves across the battlefield then swings the serrated blade at the red dinosaur trying to devour Ruel.

I didn't do that for YOU! Kilarra thinks caustically at Vorya.
