We could go for a 10 charge wand of haste and a wand of CLW for the 3,000 group money then, and Kilarra can donate the extra 350 she has for part of a CLW wand (split with Talivar?). That'd make two CLW wands total.
Further thoughts on group cash?

@Zeldana: Glad you're back and I'm glad you got to be there for your neighbor.
You could certainly make a diplomacy check to try to sell your current armor for more. If you don't like the price offered, you can always say no. Armor for Bobar would be available as well. But he doesn't get an extra 3,000 gp to purchase it...
As for the Wand of Daylight, I believe Talivar is referring to the last line of the spell which reads, "Daylight counters or dispels any darkness spell of equal or lower level, such as darkness."
The Red Mantis could, theoretically, like to use darkness spells, so I think Talivar is suggesting the wand could be useful to counter such effects.

Just as a heads up.
Unsure if we want to keep a slush fund for crafting. I'm probably not able to craft anything until Level 8-10 (depending on how early I want Slumber) but when I do have access, I'll probably need gp for crafting.
Also (general heads up), please let me know if there is something that you want / need. Currently, my Wandering Spirit slot is flexible, (so I can go Life for Channel / Lesser Restoration, Bones for Animate Dead (shortly), Nature (Barkskin)). Post 6 I can steal spells from Wiz / Sorc list with Lore Spirit so anything you want there is fair game, or I can spont cast Natures Ally if I go Nature.
I still have my 3K which isnt currently being used and could go towards something, the rods I'm looking at are more expensive than 3K and I'll probably need to craft them anyway.

Dear therapy group, lets say hypothetically I've been bad. How bad? Hypothetically speaking, Very bad. Specifics? Wellll Hypothetically if I wanted to kill everyone in the room, I'd drop oils of darkness while wearing a badass mask so I could still see and stab everything that moved.
Erm yeah. Maybe that's meta gaming too much? To be fair even without that knowledge, I'm still tempted to get it because deeper darkness is really nasty and I've quite often encountered it around about our level.
BTW re CLW wands, I'm fully expecting to burn through those even with 2 healers. Certainly that's my experience with pathfinder!

Oh, you bad, bad boy.
But in all seriousness: Yes, that sounds extremely useful. More useful than new armor for Zeldana and Bobar, which would only net an extra point to AC and/or a lesser ACP.
I'm all for preventing TPKs. Let's get the wand.

Well, Talivar does have an insight into the mind of the Mantis. ;-P

Will try and get a post tomorrow morning, lack of sleep and a headache have put paid to tonight's posting.
Kilarra Calvennis |
Congrats, Vorya.
GM_Zek |
Indeed, congrats. Sounds like you have your priorities in the right place.
For you and Talivar, please note that I still plan to move things along in the meantime.
Kilarra Calvennis |
Well, time to finalize that group gold. What did we decide on? Any other input before we do?

Yowzah! Well, noones perfect.
Also, hullo, just got done catching up on my lurking.
Talivar Tamexo |
I'm not sure we did come up with a firm agreement.
To recap we have 21000g to spend individually or collectively.
My suggestion was:
4x wand of CLW: 4 * 750g = 3000g
1x wand of lesser restoration: 25 charges 2250g
1x wand of daylight: 10 charges 2250g
1x wand of haste: 10 charges 2250g
Total: 9750g
It occurs to me that a bag of holding type 1 (2500g) would be useful too, but that would need buy in :)
Uruelleth |
Wait. Are we chipping in a portion of our 3,000 individual gifts? 'Cause I just blew mine on the swarmbane scarab.
Talivar Tamexo |
I figured some of the party would chip in. I'd suggest keeping that item because swarms are nasty!
Basically we'll make do with whatever folks donate.
GM_Zek |
No one has to contribute to the 'group' pile, if they don't want to. There was 3,000 gp for the group, so you'll want to decide together how to spend that, but the rest you can decide individually. That said, you certainly can pool your resources if you would prefer, but it's not required.
Kilarra Calvennis |
Kilarra agreed to put in 350 gp and I'll return some of the potions she bought.
GM_Zek |
At the moment, it appears you won't quite have enough for everything on Talivar's list. If you include the shared gold, Talivar's gold, Vorya's gold, and Kilarra's 350 gp, you have 9,350 gp to work with. Uruelleth, you certainly don't have to chip in and the item you bought could certainly be helpful. *maniacal laugh*
I'll give everyone else another day to chime in. If they're willing to contribute some, you may be able to get everything on that list. If you're making individual purchases, please add those to your section of the loot list to make things easier for Vorya.

Dear friends,
I’m so sorry to let you down this way. My obsession with and addiction to online gaming has become something that is interfering with my professional and personal life. While this PBP campaign is certainly a low-commitment on its own, it’s one of many, and compounded with my binge-watching and binge-gaming is a symptom of a much larger problem that I have.
It’s because of all this that I’ve decided to greatly cut my media consumption. As such, I can no-longer adhere to posting here for my own physical and mental health. I sincerely hope you can understand, and I hope that my withdrawal does not hurt the campaign too badly.
Sincerely,
Tassadan
Kilarra Calvennis |
Sorry to hear that. Don't worry about us.
GM_Zek |
You, Zeldana, and Bobar will be missed. Take care and good luck.
Talivar Tamexo |
That's a shame, I was looking forwards to seeing more of Bobar.
Re purchases with 3000g from the group plus another 3000g each from Talivar and Vorya (thanks!) and 350g from Kilarra we're just 400g shy for being able to buy all that stuff!
Maybe the thing to do is buy 3 and a half wands of CLW?

Talia Dionne wrote:You have my 3K as wellAnd my ax.
Or your glaive, in this case...
GM_Zek |
Oh, that is sad. That would be awesome if you had one irl.
Also, everyone, you don't have to spend all your gold, if you don't want to. Assuming you survive, you'll eventually be able to use it again. What's left over can go into the shared pile or you can just divide it up equally again. Whatever everyone prefers.
GM_Zek |
I believe that is what is called the slippery slope logical fallacy. I would certainly want you to roll new characters if yours died. You would likely get average wealth for your level (as you did for your initial character's creation).
You do not get infinite gold (obviously). I'm sure it goes without saying, but most of your gear would likely be lost. Perhaps the rest of the group could recover some of the items you discovered later as a group, but certainly not everything (most likely).
And of course you won't get away with such madness. : )
P.S. That full response probably wasn't necessary, but I figured I would play along.
Kilarra Calvennis |
A better question is: do we find Zeldanas coffer of gold?
Kilarra Calvennis |
Unfortunate!
Kilarra Calvennis |
Hey guys, I added Talivar's list of group loot to the shared items tab, but with Talivar, Vorya and Talia all chipping in their 3,000, plus our group 3,000 and my 350, there's an extra 2,600 gp leftover. You guys need to decide if you're letting Talia keep it all (as the last to donate), or if you're splitting it between the three of you so you all have money to buy something for yourselves as well.
Also, who's carrying each of those wands?
GM_Zek |
Thank you, Kilarra. I'm sure Vorya is especially appreciative.
Keep in mind, everyone, that you don't have to spend everything. It's okay to keep some gold. But you don't have to, either. It's your decision. No pressure. : )
Talivar Tamexo |
I wonder how badly the other shoe is going to drop on this voyage. I guess it'll depend on how the captain - first mate relationship goes.
Talivar Tamexo |
Sounds good to me. Down the line Talivar might take some crafting feats too, well lets see how much downtime if any we get. I suppose there's things like valet familiars and rings of sustenance to help out.
Kilarra Calvennis |
I added the extra gold to the shared page then.
GM_Zek |
Considering how utterly unreliable Paizo's site has been the last few days, my next gameplay post will push some things forward, but Talia and Vorya, feel free to still contribute to the initial conversation between the Captain, the First Mate, and the dwarf as well as the group's conversation.
There was a Paizo post earlier today indicating they're supposed to be pushing an update later today to fix most/all of the issues the site's been having. Here's to hoping it actually works.
