No problem... Forgot to address this when you asked before.

Down below the thread you should see an option "How to format your text [SHOW]". Click on the [SHOW] and you will see many options to format the posts. Bold is used for out loud speaking, italics is for inner monologue. OOC is kind of self-explanitory. And the dice method is how you roll.

For a more detailed look at some of the formatting, check out the Campaign Info tab at the top of the thread. There is a link called "PBP FORMATTING SUGGESTIONS". There is also another link called "PBP CHARACTER FORMATTING EXAMPLE". Check them out.

Also as another question, can I pick Drow sign language my point into linguistics since my father was a drow? Its a fluff thing and if it might come up or you don't think I should be able to have it (since it says that its like the druid's secret language) that is totally fine.

Drow sign learned with linguistics is fine with me.

As for the heirloom weapon, I assume you are looking at the errata version of the trait. If so, it's fine.

Wow its great to be here with all you gals and...wow is that a cool kitty dude!?! This is AMAZING! Umm, I think I forgot a lot of my adventuring gear at home, it looks like I forgot to pack everything except my armor, shield and my mom's sword...I hope that's OK.

Speaking of which, let's start getting these characters up on the profile pages. I added an example for the formatting if people need it. Remember, the more information the better. These will be resources for me to use in case something is going on behind the scenes, and for me to plan ahead in case I need to adjust on the fly. Spells can be linked via the URL format to allow me (and yourself) to click on it and immediatelty see the details.

Additionally on this note, I was originally looking at starting on August 14th, but I adjusted that because people were so excited it seems. The new date was August 7th, but now I am thinking maybe even earlier. I should be set to move forward starting next Monday or Tuesday. If we wrap things up by then, would you want to start as soon as possible?

I can be good to go by Monday or Tuesday but I don't want to rush anyone and I don't mind waiting. That being said if everyone else can do it I am ready...I think. Take a look at Wynrey's profile and see if I'm missing something. It seems so small but then again I am just a level 1 fighter, most of my abilities are added into my stats and I have no gear, I tapped myself out when I got my armor, shield and sword.

Good luck with the move and do not feel any pressure at all. We will not start until after that or even a little more if needed. Let us know either way.

Ok guys so my boom is fire and lots of it i get them from mystery/curse and booted by revelation and race traits. I was thinking for my other spells i would do things like bless and bane. 2 sides of the same coin idea to fit the theme of who elendra is as a person. Struggeling to find herself being called by both her hag mother and Sarenrae. Any thoughts on the typs of spells that would be good for the group are appreciated. (I get all cure or inflict spells for on my spells known)

Well the only idea that I can think for level 1 would be Detect Undead. I want to keep my meta-gaming down to a minimum, but we are going into a giant evil tomb and the AP is called the mummy's mask. There might be undead hiding with the real dead.

I like also like that we are starting to get into our characters.

Just kidding! All of this is 100% true. Also I believe the player's guide mentions that undead will be a factor, the same for constructs and traps. I will say though, that like most AP's there is a good balance of foes in this so being prepared for a variety of things is not a bad idea.

This is a great question. Unfortunately I do not have all the answers on this. We are still unsure exactly how the group gets together. It is a safe assumption though that the group will eventually gather at the Tooth and Hookah, and inn and tavern in Wati. I will try to post some details about Wati in the next few days if I can, and this will include the Tooth and Hookah.

One interesting note about the place though is where it gets it's name. It is a smoking den so that is obvious but it's mascot is a runt dwarf caiman that is on site in a small pit. Again, more details to come but that is the start.

So far, the thoughts on Harmini's story include her being the result of some wealthy folks over in Rahadoum (rich parents). Sadly, she was accidently killed... but miraculously resurrected (campaign trait). After "the incident", she has spent the majority of her time helping the godless denizens of Azir as a studious and benevolent healy witch (precise treatment). She feels like she owes some kind of debt for her "second chance". However, upon hearing about the recent opening of the necropolis in Wati she can't resist the temptation to delve deeper into the mysteries of death for a better understanding of what may have happened to her. Not being very tomb raidery herself, she'll need some friends. She's rich and she knows it. Elendra and pals seem like just the type to take up the offer.

It's Elendra's town. Makes sense to me.

As a ninja, I have a reasonable Cha, but I don't currently have points in any social skills.

I've got a basic profile up. I'll add some additional detail later.

All too often. Because of my eyes being diferent also might be due to the horrible burns i have on my arms. I like dogs though papa doesnt.

What's wrong with your eyes? There're gorgeous. One of my Mom's friends has different colored eyes. She ripped it out of some Oread and replaced hers. Turns out the eye had magic powers...or something. If you don't mind me asking how did you get yours?

Yes this is more than fine. If people have a suggestion for a real world language to use for an in game language (as Pete does above), please go ahead with it.

Also, on the Campaign tab above I have added a spoiler drop down to list the languages we can use to translate things. There aren't many so far but will be added to in the future.

This format is a great way to roleplay, even down to other languages. When using the English it is the assumption that you are speaking the Common language. If you are speaking another language it is traditional to actually "speak" in the other language. See below for an example of the same post done in this way.

I love what I am seeing on here, and since some people are learning the system I love the opportunity people are taking to learn how it all works. Keep it up.

One concern that people may have with this discussion and that it isn't on the actual Game Play thread. If something important to the overall story, a question or something, I may hold an answer and ask that the question come up when we actually play, and I will keep a list of such questions to poke people when we start. So, keep it up, get into character and see how the character mix together. None of this is "official" in my mind so if you ret-con a few aspects don't feel it will screw things up.

Adding to this factor is that the Tooth and Hookah is kind of an adventurer's spot. Also, right now Wati has an influx of adventurers due to the opening of the Necropolis.

Basically unless there is a story element I want to introduce, no one is really taking an issue with catfolk, or changelings, or even a half-drow. But it may come up at some point.
