The rack to the east proudly displays three shields. The shield on the right is a light wooden shield identical to the shields carried by the soldiers in the diorama. It bears Ancient Osiriani hieroglyphs that spell the name “Akhentepi,” marking those soldiers as under the command of Akhentepi. The light wooden shield on the left does not appear to be Osirian in origin. The center shield is unusual in that it is a light steel shield shaped like a scarab; it matches the one borne by Akhentepi in the engravings on the doors in the past rooms. The rack on the south wall holds a composite shortbow (missing bowstring), a khopesh, and a spear. You also find a clay urn sealed with wax.

The khopesh and the spear are masterwork and the shield shaped like a scarab radiates magic.

DC 12 Knowledge (geography):
You determine that the shield on the left is similar in style to those used by tribes in the Mwangi Expanse far to the south.

"That sounds like a good idea, for now anyway, Jalal."

Eventually, you head back to the intersection and go south, down another ramp of stairs. After checking the doors for traps, you enter. A massive mirror stretches across the southern wall of this chamber, flanked by two statues. The statue to the east depicts a tall, gaunt woman in a flowing, hooded gown, holding an hourglass. The figure to the west is that of a jackal-headed man carrying a scepter or staff in his hand. Stone double doors, standing slightly ajar, lead to the east and west. Torch holders sculpted in the shape of bird skulls are built in each corner, and a thin layer of dust covers every surface.

Anka recognizes the statue of the woman to be that of Pharasma.

Alzaar, I am feeling merciful...this one time! Since you do not have Improved trip, you provoke an AoO. Also using a whip provokes an AoO as if using a ranged weapon in a threatened square. So instead of taking 2 AoOs on you from both creatures, I will allow you to change your action. For future purposes, I will assume you know the risks of using your whip in threatened squares.
EDIT: There's also the issue if a scorpion whip qualifies as a metal weapon for purpose of Dazzling Blade. Sure, it has metal barbs on the end of the whip, but is that enough?

Omg. I have edited my post twice, and paizo has eaten it both times. Ugh. Let me just post a new post entirely.

Alzaar attempts to tumble through the tomb spider, placing his back against the altar, and himself out of the range of an attack, and in range to trip the thing. He smiles confidently, as he feels his luck improving in this venture, and snakes his whip toward the creature, attempting to trip it.
Tumble for move action, Archeologist's luck for swift action, and trip for attack action.
Acrobatics: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (20) + 9 = 29
Trip: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (17) + 5 = 22

Thanks for reminding me about the AoO's, I'm in my doctor's office getting a new insulin pump set up, so it's kind of hectic. Also, I meant to ask in recruitment about dazzling blade applying to the scorpion whip. It's your ruling as the GM, so if you say no, you'll have no argument from me.

AoO on Kakra: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (13) + 3 = 16
AoO on Kakra: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (16) + 3 = 19
Damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2

Kakra gets bit in the foot as she moves past the creatures. Not undead, just vermin.

Gnome Unc Rogue 1/Divination Wizard 3 | HP 31/35 | AC (19)15/(19)15/(16)12 | F+5R+6W+3 | Init.+8 | Perc.+13, DD+14 | Lowlight vision | Prescience 6/day

Rhade lobs a tiny splash of acid at the most visible vermin, trying to protect his friends.

Ranged Touch Attack 1d20 + 2 - 4 ⇒ (6) + 2 - 4 = 4

Damage 1d3 ⇒ 1

Alzaar skillfully steps and flips over the "spiders", before they can react and moves past them and reaches the altar. He lashes out with his whip and entails one the creature's legs, but the spider buckles and refuses to fall on its back as it supports itself on its other legs. It then kicks off Alzaar's whip! Creature's DC vs. trip attempts = 25! As for Dazzling Blade, I'll rule that it works with the scorpion whip, unless some formal ruling comes out of course.

Anka is up to finish the Round.

I guess the mirror wasn't magical?

Anka blinks at the large, spider looking creature. "Biggest damn spider I've seen!" She lunges forward, gripping her blade in both hands and seeking to pierce the creature between two of its chitinous plates. 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (12) + 3 = 15 for 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10

I missed that part. The mirror did radiate a faint illusion and transmutation aura.

Anka's blow kills the already wounded spider, cutting it in half!

Summary of Round 1:
Creatures attacked and wounded Jalal
Anka and Jalal team up to kill one of the spider-like creatures
Rhade misses, his acid ball staining the ground
Alzaar flips and tries to trip and fails
Kakra moved, got bit, and missed her attack

Round 2:
The fresh "tomb spider" full attacks Kakra and her battle stance deflects two of the creature's 3 blows!

Claw: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8...miss
Claw: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (19) + 3 = 22...hit
Bite: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (13) + 3 = 16...miss
Damage: 1d3 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2
