Yes I meant Quzman or Jameena. I thought I did an Edit on that to fix it. Kern is a character in the thread I DM..anyway yes as the front line fighters all three of us could get a benefit of some extra hp.

I vote Eli should have it. With his 10 CON, he is short on hp for a melee fighter. Besides, Jameena has a the ability to self-heal as a swif action.

The extra HP would probably do you the most good Eli. You're in the thick of things most times, and our AC's are comparable.

One of the gnolls in the front gets hit by Eli's arrow in the shoulder but continues the charge along with his 3 mates! The 4 archers in the back move up 30' and let their arrows fly, 2 at Dumah and 2 at Eli, plugging the mage twice in the chest! Eli's shiny new armor deflects the arrows off him! The gnolls scream in Gnoll, as they see blood!

The two gnolls in front, undeterred by Eli's fire, move up again, racing through the sands, now 60' from the party. The 4 archers move up 30' (140' away) and shoot again, this time at Eli and Quzman, but their aim is poor.

Dumah's world spins and he hits the ground heavily. Disoriented for a moment, he regains his bearings only to see the desert around him drenched in his blood. Gasping for air and mindful of the savage beast over him, Dumah casts a spell hoping to put an end to the assault on his person.

Quzman's scimitar slashes the hyenadon's belly, while his dagger cuts the beast's jugular, as it falls dead to the floor. The gnoll rider is surprised by the beast's sudden lurch to the side and tries to jump off the beast before it is too late, but he is too slow and the beast pins his leg, as he falls prone to the ground!

Ride check: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6..failure
Damage: 1d6 ⇒ 1

Round 6:

Eli moves in quickly and slashes the giant hyena on Dumah, cutting it deeply, leaving it barely alive!

Dumah remembers his training and tunes out the pain in his chest and leg and invokes a lightning bolt that sears through the hyenadon and its rider in a brilliant flash, the rider's screams echoing in the desert air, and leaving both dead!

Gnoll Reflex save: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6..failure

Jameena looks around and given everyone's health, calls upon her goddess to channel energy and heal the party, excluding the prone gnoll.

Channel energy: 4d6 ⇒ (1, 6, 6, 4) = 17

Gnolls' Turn:

The prone gnoll looks to the east and screams in Gnoll!

For Dumah:
"Mistress, don't abandon us!"

Suddenly, the party hears a response in Gnoll also come from somewhere nearby but unseen!

For Dumah:
"You have weakened them sufficiently...seek praise from Rovagug for your efforts!"

Then magical incantations follow, as a little globe of energy appears in the distance and streaks toward the party, as the prone gnoll's eyes widen in horror! Dumah immediately recognizes the spell and screams to all to seek cover! Suddenly, the air all around explodes in a fiery blast, as the party hears Dumah's voice echo in their ears: "Fireball!" Most of the party seeks cover in the oasis pool or behind the dead carcasses of the hyenas and are only partially scorched, except for Eli, who thought his natural agility would save him but he miscalculated. At the last second, he uses his arms to shield his face, as he screams in pain!

Saves:
Dumah: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (15) + 5 = 20....10 damage
Eli: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (2) + 10 = 12....20 damage
Jameena: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (8) + 10 = 18....3 damage
Quzman: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (9) + 9 = 18....10 damage

The prone gnoll has no chance and is consumed in the explosion of fire. The trees in the oasis are now on fire! When the party members recover their bearings and look to the east, they now see through the smoke standing 60 feet away from them is a female gnoll draped in robes, skulls, and feathers, with arcane energy pulsating around her. Female gnoll...like this but without the armor and female However, as the smoke clears, there is not one gnoll but six identical female gnoll images, all moving in and out of each other! She speaks in Common and says, "Sand Stalkers, I am Shazarah, the Carrion King's vengeance!"

Jameena, defiant as always, steps out and says, "Your fire is nothing to us, witch, you will fall before us, as all who have come before you!"

The gnoll caster simply smiles, when suddenly, Jameena notices coming toward her but too late to react. She screams in pain, as her chest is pierced by a large javelin! 30' in front of the party, a large 12' muscular humanoid creature suddenly materializes, laughing, wielding a flail in one hand, with another hanging from his belt and javelins on his back! Something like this! The party is immediately struck by the fact that the giant has 2 heads! "Good shot at that bi*ch, Gim!" says the right head to the left. "Thanks, Li, let's go eat them now!" is the left head's response!

Attack vs. Jameena's Flatfooted AC: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (15) + 5 = 20
Damage: 1d8 + 6 ⇒ (8) + 6 = 14

Updated Combat Map

Quzman is up to finish the Round and on to Round 7! Hope you're having fun...I sure am!

Moved you guys back on the map so the caster could fit...hope you don't mind!

FYI: Dumah, your Haste spell is about to run out in Round 7!

Quzman rolls over and snarls at the newest threat. "These vermin breed worse than hares. Jameena, stall the giant. I'll try and get to the b#++!!", as he heaves himself up off the sand and runs up and around the ettin the best he can.

Ends up at Y7, going diagonal till W7 and then forward 10'

AC:24 HP:63/51 haste, bless inspire courage

EDIT:Fixed math error...man, what a waste that math degree is some days ;). Thank you.

Quzman, Jameena channeled energy for 17 healing all and you took 10 from the fireball, so you should be at 51/63 not 41.
Dumah should be at 19/54
Eli is at 35/55
Jameena is at 38/61

As Dumah uses his walking stick to push himself to his feet, his head reels from loss of blood. Knowing he could very well die in the next few seconds, he utters the words to release the power most likely to help his friends to eventual victory.

Move action to stand, standard action to cast Haste again.

Hit points 19/54, Armor Class 17, Haste, Mage Armor, Bless.

Quzman is not affected by your spell, so his Haste will run out this Round.

Round 7 continued:

Jameena looks at Eli and says, "Follow my lead, old friend and let these enemies fall before our might!" She then screams at the Ettin, "Your blood will stain the sands this day, giant! So says the might of Sarenrae!" Swift action to smite evil on the Ettin and then moves up to attack to X11! However, she provokes an AoO from the giant's superior reach. The giant smiles, as she approaches him, and lashes out at Jameena with his flail, but the might of Sarenrae flows through her body, and she skillfully dodges the blow, while plunging her scimitar deep into its thigh!

Giant's AoO: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (14) + 12 = 26..miss!
Jameena attack: 1d20 + 11 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 5 ⇒ (11) + 11 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 5 = 30

"Only the foul, weak minded lackeys of the Carrion Jester would hide and attack from behind. The are afraid to face us, for the know the might of the Sand Stalkers. They try to weaken us and attack us from ambush but that is their folly!

With hastened feet Eli rushes to join Jameena in the fight against the Ettin. He slips to her left, so that he might be able to circle around their foe.

Move to X10; here's hoping that Jameena pulled his only AoO
Attack Roll 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (12) + 13 = 25 Damage + Cold 1d8 + 1 + 1d6 ⇒ (3) + 1 + (5) = 9

Luckily, for Eli, Jameena did pull his only AoO!

The giant screams in pain, as Jameena and then Eli, pierce his skin with their weapons. The two heads then go back and forth before they attack. "Which one do we kill, Li? The woman, then the singer! Hit her hard!" Gim grips the flail in his right hand and raises his arm and then brings the spiked metal ball down on Jameena's shoulder, inflicting terrible pain. Li swings his flail horizontally, but Jameena easily ducks that blow.

Flail attack: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (16) + 12 = 28..hit
Damage: 2d6 + 6 ⇒ (2, 2) + 6 = 10
Second attack: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (10) + 7 = 17...miss!

Shazarah sees the ranger approaching and smiles, saying "Burn before the fires of Rovagug!" She intones magic and then points at him, as a ray of fire suddenly appears from her hand and hits Quzman directly in his chest, searing his skin! "I so love the smell of burnt flesh...makes me hungry!" The gnoll caster laughs, as she moves to AD12.

Ranged touch attack at Quzman: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (19) + 5 = 24..hit
Damage: 4d6 ⇒ (5, 2, 3, 1) = 11

Quzman snarls through the pain and rushes around the ettin towards the gnoll witch. "Your evil days are over witch. We will send you to the same hell your beloved "king" was sent off to howling and screaming.", as gets close he pulls in his blades and lashes out with his foot trying to sweep the beasts legs out from under her.

If haste ran out before I moved, I would charge directly towards her, doing the same, but drawing AoO from the ettin at AC 21. I draw an AoO from her for the attempt anyways.
