Well, if Naomi can't shake this bug, it isn't due to a lack of trying on Dr. Cyrus' part. :)
If this adventuring thing doesn't pan out, it is good to know he should have a good career as standard doc.

yeah now you just have to convince your patients that the broken staff is a stethoscope or tongue depressor or something, nice roll by the way.
I like the invitation to swap stories, I don't have time to type this afternoon (EST) but I will tonight,
Jarvis Ward |
Yeah I would agree that men chat, generally when its a mixed company I would say less is said, don't know what the "sports" topic is of this age... probably booze hah!

I have been keeping a running list. The most current one is a few pages back and I have the master copy on my home pc.
I will work on getting caught up today as well, as this weekend was Orthodox Easter, so my time was spent with family holiday insanity. :)

brvheart, what was the value on the palanquin, being an antique, now with a really cool affidavit. Seems like it may be the only thing we found worth any value.
brvheart |
It did not give a value but so you have something I am going to make it 4000 GP. There was some masterwork items also and a little gold.
Naomi Chadwick |
at quick glance these are the items that I located that we found, does anyone remember anything else? We left the horse, oxen and cart there
Guarding the tomb’s entrance are Gerlach and 5 thugs
Two oxen and a cart of mining tools sit nearby. A horse is tied to a tree.
The thugs had crow bars they used for clubs. On each: dice, mining pick, shovel, hammer, chisels, 100 ft rope, 4 sp, 3 gp.
On the rogue: Leather armor, short sword,
Other Gear mining pick, shovel, crowbar, hammer, chisels, 100 ft rope, 9 sp, 6 gp.
masterwork long sword near the makeshift shrine.
The corpse has leather armor so is unlikely the big boss.
A henchman’s soaked body lies sprawled on the floor, his head twisted backward on his neck. His backpack holds 50 feet of rope, a grappling hook, seven pitons, a hammer, thieves’ tools, and a bag of dice and cards. The corpse holds a longsword and wears leather armor.
An ornate palanquin sits atop a raised dais against one wall of the room. Ancient symbols to the vanquished sun god Arden decorate the palanquin. The palanquin glows with a soft, golden light like that of the sun at dawn.
The naked body of a withered human corpse now sits slumped near the divan. The corpse still carries a masterwork short sword. A belt pouch under the leather armor contains 25 gp. The splintered halves of the Scepter lie near the body.
There is an emerald worth 100 GP in the skull of the ghoul.

I didn't further break it down by who claimed what, but I can update that once everyone chimes in on what they took on this thread.
Hagrym |
Wasn't there a magical or at least masterwork long sword as well? We need to be sure whoever is using it has noted it, if I remembered correctly.
Hagrym just wants his share in gold. He doesn't care about any of the items so far.
Naomi Chadwick |
second item under arms/armor. it looks like Turvijagal is keeping a MW short sword, sell value is 155 gp, ad that amount to the total divide by eight subtract 155 from his part. right? Or are we going to keep a kitty for stuff.
Hagrym |
I'd wait on keeping a kitty until we gain a couple more levels and start getting better equipment. Then we can set aside a kitty share for those lesser restorations, raise deads, etc.

I agree Hagrym, we will need to set aside for another CLW maybe after the next big take.
Hagrym |
Are we selling the masterwork long sword? That's fine, but I just want to be sure everyone is on the same page, before we confirm the total for all the goods.
And thanks so much to Naomi, and to Lucky for keeping our crazy selves in check.
Naomi Chadwick |
Even if we do not sell the MW sword the amount per person would be the same except for who ever kept the sword. Their total would be 157.50 less or 408.87, similar to Turvijagal's. But they would have a sword that would have cost them 315 gold pieces.
anyway its to late Naomi has spent her's
Master work back pack 50 gp: 4 lbs.
master work chainshirt 250 gp: 25 lbs.
Darkwood heavy wooden shield 257 gp. 5 lbs.

total 8 lbs. more 7 gp. 3 sp. 7 cp.
brvheart |
You might want more than six days of rations. Would recommend at least two weeks.
Naomi Chadwick |
she only did six to keep her weight at "light" she will buy more and either drop her pack at the first sign of trouble or ask someone to carry the extra food or buy a pack mule, she has 39 gp burning a hole in her pocket.
Naomi Chadwick |
giving into peer pressure and refusing to ask one of the boys to carry stuff for her she makes more purchases.

Jarvis Ward |
I have no need for the longsword, I use a scimitar.
Jarvis Ward |
Purchasing Ioun Stone (dull grey), and masterwork sculptors tools.
brvheart |
Jarvis as that is CL 12 I need to see if they are available.
percentile: 1d100 ⇒ 65 70% chance
That would be a yes. Watch your CL's please for anything above 9.
Turvijagal |
Turvijagal will also buy a masterwork backpack. Just to make it easier to carry a wee bit more stuff.
That should be 50 gp, yes?
And another 7 days' worth of trail rations, for a total of 14 days.
I think with all that together, his encumbrance should be 66 lbs, which should be light encumbrance, just, because of the MW backpack.
Ulfgard Strongarm |

Oh, yes; one other item.
Masterwork Thieves' tools.
That should be another 100 gp.
So, I think my shopping and loot should work like this:
411 gp 3 sp and 7 cp (gotta keep track of the small change!)
MW backpack; 50 gp
7 days' rations; 35 sp
1 thieves' MW tools; 100 gp
total cash on hand after that; 276 gp, 8 sp, 7 cp
(although my character won't have a spreadsheet on a laptop!)

Good idea, all.
Hagrym will buy two potions of Cure Light Wounds for 100 gold. That will end his shopping trip.

I am having to kind of fudge all of this as after I started this I talked with Greg Vaughan at Frog God and he informs me that all of this is on the continent of Libynos which they have not done yet! So bear with me some as we make this our own here:) It was either that or I all the sudden transport the group to another continent while they are walking towards Bard's Gate and I though, nahhh, will just find alternate locations for everything:) So I am having to add a huge swamp that is not on the original map, no real biggie right?
Hagrym |
If it's good for you, DM, it's good for me. We are in your world...if a swamp needs to be added, go for it!
"Lucky" Cyrus |
Hagrym |
Good question, DM, is there a loan program for a chain shirt? If I leave my armor behind, they'd be making out good on the trade if I decided to run off with the chain shirt.
