"Your group is the first to return that I have sensed. We have some humans dwelling here within the ruins."
Making a slight nodding gesture with his head in the direction of the cave entrance...
"The bravest among them was given an ultimatum to leave or be subject to the will of the group conscience. I for one will not see them enslaved, either they come willing or die...maybe they could earn their existence."
Havikoryx |
Havikoryx continues to check around the fortress before blipping out to the rendezvous point.
Havikoryx takes a closer look at the nature of the enchantments on these items. Understanding that knowing their properties could prove key, he expends Moment of Prescience to enhance his first Spellcraft check, re-manifests the spell, and then identifies the second.
Spellcraft on the scroll/case 1d20 + 28 ⇒ (6) + 28 = 34
Spellcraft on the amulet 1d20 + 28 ⇒ (13) + 28 = 41
Assuming none of them are dreadfully cursed, he waits until no greater demons are in sight to snatch them up for later bargaining or use.
Stealth 1d20 + 73 ⇒ (7) + 73 = 80
Sleight of Hand scroll 1d20 + 29 ⇒ (2) + 29 = 31
Sleight of Hand amulet 1d20 + 29 ⇒ (2) + 29 = 31

Havikoryx teleports to the meeting place and contributes telepathically - Nephistal may be taking his time. He's set to make a grand appearance in the Carnival with some of his newly-captured slaves. Besides that and a new bludgeon he's touting, the information-gathering was a bust.
I have some experience playing pro-team/loyal evil, but this chaotic evil thing is taking some getting used to. Trust that you - particularly Sene'sis and Nephistal, who did more of the acquisition work - will see the treasures again soon. I can't see Havikoryx letting valuables walk off without the little serpent claiming some advantage - particularly since his shtick involves bartering goods and information.
Hope that calms any waters I might have churned by my earlier legerdemain

Telepathy to the Ruins group -We learned little as well Havikoryx but we did score a hint at an advantage but the how to accomplish it will require much planning and discussion we think. WE have quite the task ahead of us we think...
His thoughts trailed off as his tentacles began scribbling spirals in the ash.

Telepathy to the Ruins group - We learned little as well Havikoryx. Just a hint at what needs to be done but not the how to do it. We think it will require much planning and discussion to complete the task before us...
The demons thoughts trailed off as his tentacles began scribbling spirals in the ash.

Nephistal |
Nephistal appears in the middle of the ruins. "Well that was a useless trip for the original purpose of gathering information but I did manage to find something that the Lord of Dust was searching for." He holds out a golden mace for the others to see. "I am not sure why it is so important but when he sends one such as the great worm Neidieleilen to fetch it there must be some value to it."
Sicsivicus |
AS his tentacles continued their writhing in the ash; Sicsivicus pondered the huge demons words.
Telepathy to group - A treasure indeed Nephistal. Maybe there is a use for it but not for us to use. We learned that the only way to defeat the Lord of Dust is to free the celestial that is bound in his throne room...
His tentacles stopped writhing and began a very non rythmic thumping causing puffs of ash dust to rise up.
...dont tell them everything! we have to. no we dont. we will need their assistance. we will? for now we will...
..and it will take another celestial of pure heart to free the abomination. Perhaps the angel will need the mace to make the killing blow.
Havikoryx |
Air-slithering closer to Nephistal, Havikoryx telepathically volunteers If the mace is of such importance, I may be able to divine its purpose and history. Carrying an unknown artifact strikes me as reckless at best. Allow me to make contact with it, and I may yet decipher its role in events to come.
If given leave, Havikoryx manifests Legend Lore over the next 10d4 ⇒ (4, 3, 4, 1, 2, 1, 2, 2, 3, 4) = 26 minutes.

Telepathy to the group - These little tid-bits tantalize us, and whet my appetite for mayhem. I crave rounding up the little darlings beneath us for entertainment, but maybe within their ranks is the being we seek to free the Dust Lords' doom?
Sene'Sis |
Senseing that all the others had returned to the area Sene'sis "hovers" just below the surface near Dimmu and awaits action from the others.
telepathy We have learned nothing asss of yet I believe except that a large worm hasss tried to take the item we now have. It did not seem to fight very hard for sssomething that it wanted. I believe it was allowing ussss to get it so that it could sssee how we used it and then move in to reap our rewardsss.
Havikoryx |
After letting his companions chatter over various wavelengths, Havikoryx finishes communing with unknown forces.
Telepathy to all - This is an artifact clearly intended to be wielded by an Abyssal champion! Known as the Meteor of the Abyss, it is capable of destroying nearly anything under the proper conditions. If used against a prison, it will destroy the prison. That said, its will to destroy is strong, and its powers should not be called upon lightly.
Nephistal |
"I believe that it would be foolish to think we can take on the Lord of Dust as he is right now. To find and get to this angelic prisoner I think we must properly distract his attention away from his own domain. We should look at taking out key allies that he has, weaken his position, and then when he is truly alone, we strike. I think some blood calls out to be shed.
Dimmuborgir |
"Does it matter what the celestial's motive may be? It is now bound by the corrupted force that drives it's own pertinacious will. It should be freed and allowed to exact revenge upon it's gaoler. Let the chaos of retribution twist the poor deluded creature to our will."
Sicsivicus |
The beastial demon lounged in the ash prevalent on the abyssal plane. His tentacles writhed with no apparent rhyme or reason.
We agree Dimmuborgir. Lets move before we grow beyond bored here. Else we are willing to leave things as they are for choas will reign as it should be.
