Ana looks around trying to figure out from which direction most of the wolves are coming. She then casts Grease in that direction, with her back against her horse for cover.

Also trying to block the wolves' movement so they can't hit the casters.

Anastasiya quickly prepares and hurls a glob of grease that forms underneath three of the wolves, two manage to keep their feet but one falls. Thorvald cursing Isham's plan climbs to his feet, swatting away a wolf's attempt to gnaw on his leg before bringing his blade down viciously upon its skull. The wolf collapses and stops moving instantly. Then he tries to bite another wolf but only gets a mouth ful of fur for his efforts. Rutilux is too hedged in by fleeing mounts and the teeth of wolves snapping at his mount to charge but still manages to connect with his lance against one threatening a nearby Dagmar injuring the wolf but not managing to kill it. Zethyris moves to block the wolves from getting close to Dagmar and Anastasiya spearing one with his rapier, causing a serious wound. On the ground, Isham allows his newly developing magical prowess to help him with two wolves pulling at his legs as he causes a brilliant burst of light that stuns one wolf but nit the other. Thankfully their teeth don't get through his armour. Dagmar puts one of the wolves to sleep before it can attack Zethyris. Jediah drops off of his mount into the fray and finishes off the wolf that Zethyris wounded. Julien climbing to his feet after being thrown by his horse nimbly avoids a wolf's airing teeth and as he steps back he fires an arrow into the wolf's shoulder. The wolves move in again hitting Zethyris (4),Anastasiya (6) and Thorvald (7). Hearing Isham yell at them to ignore your plight and help the farmers the soldiers that were moving to assist turn back and ride to engage the soldiers further inside the compound.

Rutilux considers setting Sunfire more fully into the battle, but clearly the fighting zone is too tight and his horse might trample them as it was trampling wolves. Instead, he thrusts his lance at the wolf he wounded earlier hoping to finish it off.Unless the one he wounded is the one Dagmar put to sleep, if that's the case he'll attack another nearby.

Anastasiya, protected by Zethyris, lets loose another batch of arcane darts that fly towards two different wounded wolves and kills them while Thorvald steps forward and cuts another deeply. Rutilux then finishes off the wolf he was dealing with earlier. Zethyris maneuvers himself behind the wolf with the beast trapped between him and Isham and finishes off the wounded creature. Isham wounds one of the wolves in front of him but doesn't slay it. Dagmar looking for a wounded wolf spots the one up infront of Isham and fires her cross bow, wounding it more. Jediah strides over to a wolf nearby and cuts it down. Julian's arrow grazed a nearby wolf but doesn't do much damage. One wolf leaps into the opening left by Zethyris to attack and bite Anastasiya, its teeth dragging her to the ground (7 plus tripped). The other three conscious wolves fail to connect with Rutilux, Isham or Julian.

Ana rolls away from under the wolf that tripped her (5-foot-crawl? If thats not possible she stares at the wolf and delays until Thorvald gets between the wolf and her) and instinctively shoots an acid splash at its face ...

Anastasiya stuck on the ground with a snarling wolf above her is forced to wait for rescue which arrives shortly thanks to Thorvald's mighty swing which cuts it down. Rutilux, reacting mere moments after Thorvald swings his horse around crushes the wolf attacking him under razor sharp hooves. Seeing few remaining wolves Zethyris moves again to aid Isham and between the two of them cut that wolf down. Dagmar seeing Ana wounded and threatened moves in to heal her. healing hex: 1d8 ⇒ 6 (plus empowered for a total of 9). Jediah then moves in and cuts the wolf attacking Julian deeply enough to give the human a chance to run off and hide but not enough to kill it. The wolf fights back, biting Jediah (4damage) but doesn't manage to pull the mountain down.

The Samuel and his riders have engaged many of the soldiers but more are moving to attack you. They're still 70-80 feet away. There are a two wolves either asleep or still slipping around on grease near you as well.

The soldiers at the door continue battering upon it as splinters and cracks begin to show. Anastasiya fires off two bursts of mystic energy at one of the soldiers hurting him not not felling him. Thorvald charges the soldiers but comes up short due to his armour (Your medium armour reduces your speed from 30/40 to 20/30 so you can only double move 60). Rutilux lines up a charge upon two soldiers, running one through with his lance while his mount runs another down. Zethyris moves to help Jediah finish off the wolf on him, managing to find a weak spot cutting the wolf down. Once the wolf is down Isham directs everyone's attention to one of the soldiers running up and starts telling an inspiring story. Dagmar moves to heal Jediah hex: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5(+2). Jediah moves to attack the wolf slipping on the grease but his swing misses as the wolf slips at just the right time. Julian from a sparse hush fires at one of the soldiers and manages to connect but doesn't kill him. Two soldiers move and attack Rutilux but cannot pierce his defences while another engages Thorvald but can't hit him either. The wolf stuck in the grease manages to get its footing but cannot set its teeth into Jediah.

There are seven soldiers right around Rutilux, Thorvald is currently being attacked by another one 25 ft from Rutilux. The soldiers are between 50 and 70 ft away from everyone else moving to attack Rutilux and Thorvald.

Gore dripping from his face and spittle flying from his lips he challenges the warriors rushing towards him and the horse lord Rutilux, "Not idly will the leaves of Oakrun fall while this bear remains on the field of battle! Ours is the fury!"

Anastasiya barely manages to avoid hitting Rutilux with her latest glob of acid as it splashes down mere inches from Sunfire's hooves while seh moves closer. Thorvald circles with the on soldier huffing and throbbing with pent up fury as he swings his sword out in a vicious sweep that cuts through the soldiers armour, killing him befoere turning to the nearest and bellowing a challenge. Rutilux, allowing Sunfire to rear up partially runs through the only remaining soldier far enough away with his lance while trying to keep the rest at bay with Sunfires hooves. Zethyris rushes in to assist Thorvald, coming up to his side. ISham rushes forward put his charge is foiled by his saddle-sores and he finds himself coming up short. Dagmar moves up and tries to fire a quarrel into the fray but the soldiers are moving around too much for her aim and the bolt flies wide. Jediah finishes of the the wolf slipping and flopping in the grease then moves to assist everyone else. Julian moves forward, keeping low and trying to get in close enough for his pin-point style of shooting. "Southern cur! You have no business in the north and now these lands will be your grave!" one of the soldiers cry as five of them attack Rutilux. and two of the soldiers manage to connect with terrible blows (11 and 14 damage from two criticals). One of the soldiers seeing Isham trying to attack from behind moves to intercept but is unable to connect with the navial officer.

Five remain on Rutilux and one on Isham. Thorvald and Zethyris are 25ft away. Dagmar, Anastasiya and Jediah are 35 ft away and Julian is 50 ft away and stealthed.

She approaches as far as necessary (ducking to cover if she finds any) and throws another acid splash, this time at one of the soldiers attacking Rutilux.

The armor that Thorvald has modified has served Rutilux well until this moment, as blows strike not just true, but deep, and blood flows like rivers from the plate, but the young cavalier is not dead yet, and manages to respond, "Cringing jackals in great numbers may bring a lion down, but in the end, they are still cowardly creatures that lick themselves in the shadows. And the lion never dies alone. Come, I will show you the boneyard on my way to glory, and on your way to the spiraling abyss you have earned!"

Despite his bold words, he twists the horse trying to get others off his flank even as he thrusts at one that had hurt him so grievously.

Seeing the soldiers sent to stop you faltering more of the soldiers attacking the buildings turn and run towards you, one in particular attacks your attention as he strides towards you snarl sounding from within his throat. Anastasiya again hurls her acid into the fray, this time the glob flies high over everyone's head. Thorvald rushes in with his blade severing one soldiers head from his neck and biting a large chunk out of another's shoulder. Hemmed in close by infantry, Rutilux is forced to drop his lance and bring his flail to bear crushing the ribs of one. Moments later Zethyris rushes up and grabs the soldier Thorvald bit as his rapier slides in his back and slides out through his chest. Isham manages to slip his rapier past the soldier's shield, it's tip biting deep but missing anything fatal. Dagmar manages to lull one of the remaining soldiers to sleep while the last remaining on Rutilux is brought down by Jediah's charging glaive. Managing to move in close enough Julian's arrow flies in and finishes off the soldier battling Isham before he can bring his blade down.

There are eight more soldiers moving towards you, three are wearing light armour unlike the rest of the soldiers you've fought. They are close enough to charge or be charged. There are still plenty of soldiers running around causing havoc inside the the homestead or battling Samuel and his men who are still surrounded by many soldiers but holding their own. One soldier stands alone resting a heavy two handed axe on the ground before him watching the violence all around him.
