This kind of spider must be specific to the Spire, as the shaman has never seen anything like this.

Ah thank you! The no wall of text was a surprise. In past pbp (mainly it was storytelling rping) so walls of text were expected. I'll try to limit myself on how much rp. Being a writer helps I guess.

But this is my first time doing a pathfinder pbp, but I guess the nervousness is because I'm excited.

And even if I don't get picked I don't get upset. It just means I have an opportunity to enhance my character's background and make it better. And I try to have a wide variety of characters so I'll be able to take part in any ap or campaign. But again even if I'm not picked I always always have fun designing these characters!

I have to agree I enjoy creating the characters and making up the stories to bring them into the fold of the various APs and campaigns people have put up. I have to say that I really enjoy PbP compared to a lot of my tabletop games as you actually really get into the story and character. I don't make as many backup characters for campaigns as far as PbP goes because I like the character I made too much and spent time working on them.

You're welcome! PbP is definitely a lot of fun. Though I enjoy my tabletop games, I jumped into PbP because I wanted a deeper roleplaying experience and because I thought it would be a good exercise in creative writing. The format has its downsides to be sure, but in the uh...year and three months that I've been applying to and playing in PbP games, the positives have more than outweighed the negatives :)

A note on posting, so everyone do the same thing:

speaking: When do you want us to start? (no commas)

action: the young man was still sitting on the small chair, but it was clear he was ready to go right now and embrace a new life as an adventurer (no need for brackets)

thinking: This IS the real life! No more work in dad's and mom's backery!

Please space your post so they are easy to read, and post your dice roll after the description of the action, like this:

They have no chance against me! I will be your champion!
The young man rises from his chair, and slams his fist on the table

Intimidate: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7

Okay! Again sorry for the mishaps yesterday! A question about the history skill check: do I get the same info one would get from a successful local check? And did Davlamin find a way to bypass the guards? Maybe spotting a large crowd that would distract the guards for awhile?

There is something to be said about the fact that people don't use their 0 level spells often enough. It truly makes me blue.

Nah, I myself have a wonderful sense of humor and love to play with it. Rahiv is a bit of a sad sack since he's been torn from his people forced into servitude and only recently gifted back his life so to speak. Hoping that the party will change his attitude over time so that he isn't so somber.

Lol! Actually I tend to use my level 0 spells a good bit. I can't tell you enough how many times detect magic has helped out or how ray of frost/acid splash has saved my party from a tpk!

And hey maybe Rahiv might be able to keep Strider and Davlamin in line with their flirting of poor Joza. Although I must say that Joza's reaction to the sudden summer shower was excellent!

Not to mention our gnome gunslinger seems to have taken a shine to your undine.

And to Strider, sorry if it seems that my sorcerer is a bit attracted to your character. I did some more research into the faith of Calistria and saw that followers of the Savored Sting are open minded and tend to have multiple lovers and romantic partners. I guess it fits my character since he was raised by two priests (actually his mother was a mystic theurge).

Since I'm planning to pick up dragon disciple I'm not sure if I should pick up cleric and mystic theurge. Might be too many classes for me. What do y'all think?

well I just learned that climb speed of 20ft means I always can take 10 even when threaten. I only have to roll if my DC would be more difficult then taking 10+skill. That interesting. So I can nearly climb anything inside a city wall or dungeon provided there any thing to use to climb. however I need 8 more points to climb anything without rolling. I find that fascinating. Of course thats DM dictated.
