Thankful that goblins can be relied on to be cowards at least half the time, Joza keeps her focus on the goblin leader as she readies another arrow.

"I assume that would likely be best, provided she doesn't have anyone else she'd prefer to stay with. Still, perhaps we best split up now that we are in the safety of the town...maybe someone go sell the equipment, someone get us a few rooms at the inn, and someone take care of Pekoe? Will post tomorrow, as I want to check on the recruitment thread and see the new contenders. I'll have to find a way to put them in game too. ;-)

Temple of Silence

The Church of Pharasma is surely a gloomy place, and Pekoe has a sad face while they walk toward it. Ekran walks with you at start, then goes to the Inn, giving an handshake to the small tiefling.

The priest promise to take care of Pekoe, nursing her back to health slowly.

Pekoe says goodbye to the catwoman
We'll keep in touch, maybe, Joza... It wasn't as fun as I supposed, this Spire thing. Very dangerous place.

Merchants
Going from shop to shop, you first try to sell the ring and gems, and a merchant offers you 100 GP for the three gems, maybe 120 GP if you add the ring in the deal.

you can bargain, either with Profession-Merchant or a Bluff roll

As for the weapons, bow and morningstar, Tsador, a big and burly half orc, studies the bow with more interest than he shows about the morningstar

Can give you 150 GP for this bow. And get you rid of this piece of scrap metal.

Temple of Silence

Although she found that she understood the Pharasmin faith better than she did Abadar's - the cycle of life and death being a part of the greater laws of nature and the universe - Joza couldn't really understand why the temple had to be such a gloomy place.

"We will keep in touch, as much as we can," she agrees, looking regretful. "But you need to rest up for now and regain your strength. Maybe once you're mended you can rejoin us, if you like. But I wouldn't blame you if you decided to move on from here either."

Kneeling down, she gives Pekoe a quick hug. "We'll be at the Juliver Arms if you need us. Or if you need to leave a message and we're not in town, Abenard would probably hold it for us. Be well, Pekoe."

Rising to her feet she gives the gnome a respectful bow and then exits the temple with a small sigh, heading for the Juliver Arms.

Rahiv listened to what the merchant had to say. He wasn't well versed in the tricks of the trade having been locked up for the better part of time but he still tried to work his magic on getting a little more out of gems. After all, they had risked their lives for it.

Rahiv smiled and said simply "Look, this stuff came from the coffers of the Spire itself. Think of this more as an investment in being able to get far more lucrative gems and items from us in the future. The prices your offering, who knows...when we find something of greater worth we may just pass on to another merchant." he said not sure what he was really doing.

Dav nodded in agreement with Joza.

"Indeed. You just focus on recovering. I'm sure the priests here will be able to help you recover."

Having been raised in a temple, the sorcerer thanked the priests for tending to Pekoe.

"We appreciate all you have done for us," he said to the priests. Although before leaving he did mention finding out that a goblin inside the spire was a follower of the mother of monsters herself and that Dav believed that there was an evil cult using the spire as a base and that the bandits and undead attacks were connected. The sorcerer told the priests that he would give them more information as they continued to explore the Emerald Spire.

Later he headed with the others to the merchants.

I know you said bluff or merchant skill checks but I'm going to use diplomacy here if that's okay.

"Are you sure now? I mean maybe we could meet in the middle, hm? Say 170 gold? We were looking at getting 200 gold pieces for them but I can see that you've got a firm and steadfast grasp on trading goods. I'm not trying to con you or anything here. But surely 170 is a good price as we have discovered some terrible tidings that the Spire has for this town. That money would be useful for us in buying supplies so we can explore and cleanse the spire of evil."

@Dav: just to be sure: there are two merchants, one for the jewellery, offering you 100 GP for the gems (120 if you add the ring) and another one for the weapons, offering you 150 GP for the bow. So who are you asking 170 GP to?

After a few minutes walk-Zinli short legs slowing you a little- you reach the Temple of Abadar, where you are quickly send to a small office.

A lay brother, with a droning voice, professionally appraise the gems.

The appraisal costs 10% of the worth of the gem/jewellery/work of art/weapon and armor. Magic can be used to detect and ascertain the arcane or divine properties of any items, at a cost of 5 GP for the detection of magical auras, and 200 GP for identification of said auras and properties. You can sell items here, up to 500 GP, with any previous costs for appraisal substracted. Items of greater worth can be sold on a case by case basis.

After a few moments, he finish the gems examination
These are worth 50 GP each. 50*3=150;10% of 150=15; 150-15=135 GP for the benefit of the Master of the First Vault.
