Male Bariaur Cleric 7

Surprised by what they find inside the bakery, Jarun frowns for a while with his hands close to his torso. In Sigil, one should be careful he thought as he tried to make out what the problem is.

"Are you having pie-problems? We'll happily relieve you of some of them."

"its this blasted cooker we just got, that gnome who sold it us said it would work all day and night on ' miko waves' or some thing, so we takes out the old one and put this thin, but once we puts it on the blasted thing will not stop!"

Female Aasimar Witch 4/Druid 3

gnomes are always intersting buisness partners. Yrs, lets see what youve got there, magic pies id assume?

casting detect magic then spellcraft.

Spellcraft:1d20 + 14 ⇒ (12) + 14 = 26

Male Bariaur Cleric 7

Hearing about a gnome having sold them the hypercooker, Jarun tries to think of who might be that gnome. There's more than one gnome capable of making one of these things....

Knowledge(local): 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (18) + 4 = 22

@Bastille it magic and seems to have around 8 spells working together. Sunmetal, Detect movement, some kinds of air element spell, create food spell the others you have no idea its a real mess.

@Jarun You can think of about three but none who use the mark of a red tophat thats seems to be on the thing.

As Bastille moves her hands to cast her spell (lets say you do) the thing pops into life again glows for a moment and then Pings, inside you can see more pies come into being, hot and steaming.

"Please do not wave you arms, thats what sets the thing off"

F Sylph Ninja 7

"Perhaps we should leave." Brehna suggests without moving anything but her mouth.

Metalbeard walks over to take a closer look. Be this device of Modron design? We be puttin' together many unusual machines to run the planar gears.

Knowledge (engineering): 1d20 + 21 ⇒ (10) + 21 = 31
Knowledge (arcana): 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (1) + 12 = 13

And so it is, The core of the thing is Modron just the setting set to high, the nob is on Microwaves 10 should work if you make it 2 or 3 MetalBeard, who ever made this copy was ether a Genius or a madGnome.

Perhaps if we be settin' the knob like this, the machine be doin' what you want? Metalbeard turns the knob to setting 2 and observes the result.

Its stops pinging and the fat guy comes over and looks at it, he laps you back

"Well Ill be a Snorgs Granpap, the things working just fine now, ask what you like Ill give ya any thing you can eat in the shop me lado, would you like some apple pie? we have a lot see"

F Sylph Ninja 7

Brehna will grab a piece of pie and enjoy herself.

AC 30, HP 96/96, Fort +14, Ref +11, Will +3, AoO 9/9

Once the confections arrive, Runt takes a small bite, makes an approving face, and finishes the rest with one more bite.

"Pie is enjoyable."

F Sylph Ninja 7

To the owner between bits of pie

"So has this always been a pie shop? It looked like something else outside a minute ago."

"I lass it has, 5 generations of us Liltons have been making pies, here, me man and boy"

Just then a small boy comes in with an old looking mage,

He hands you all three apple pies each.

"Dad I brung him, says 50 jink or he want even look at the thing"

The old mage steps in.

"Now what seems to be the problem?"

There is some thing odd about him.

Half-orc Inquisitor 1 AC 18/12/16 / HP 10/10 / F +5 R +3 W +5 / Init. +4 / Perc. +6 / Sense Motive +7

Grune gives the mage the old squint eye,

Perception: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (20) - 1 = 19

nope DC is higher

Female Aasimar Witch 4/Druid 3

Batty is a pro at the old squit eye, especially when it comes to other mages. With detect magic still up she shows Grune how its done.

Perception:1d20 + 17 ⇒ (17) + 17 = 34
Sense motive:1d20 + 16 ⇒ (6) + 16 = 22
Spellcraft:1d20 + 14 ⇒ (17) + 14 = 31
Know(loc):1d20 + 11 ⇒ (10) + 11 = 21

O yes, hes a Druid as well as a mage by the looks of him, very odd.

is he is a Druid as well, he looks really old.

@Bastille you think it may be Mr Cup

Female Aasimar Witch 4/Druid 3

Batty will peruse the shop unassumingly casting message targeting the mage.
She will atempt to imitate the sound of the door code follwed by.
i wish to speak with you Mr. Cup.
She assumes hes enough of a mage to decifer who sent that as she wasnt really trying to hide

F Sylph Ninja 7

Percep to overhear between bites of pie 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (4) + 10 = 14

Edit: or not.

Male Bariaur Cleric 7

Stuffing his face with an entire pie, Jarun isn't paying much attention.
With his mouth full it's hard to hear him say

"Myyohhmyyy, deeeshNOMNOMpiesNOMNOMarrgweat! Nom nom"

"Why yes thats my name. whos asking?"

F Sylph Ninja 7

Brehna watches the interaction as casually as possible as she enjoys her pie. She casually and subtly pulls her Wakizashi from her right leg sheath. Palming it in case she needs it. Her other hand continues to use the fork to eat the pie.

Sleight of hand 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (18) + 8 = 26

Metalbeard's gears start turning as he looks at the strange Mage. To create a distraction for any of his companions who want to study him, he recites his pie poem again, loudly drumming a hollow spot in his side for accompaniment.

Greetings, cutter. What kind of pies do you be likin' best hear? I be havin' trouble decidin' what to eat.

He tries to gauge the mage's reaction.

Sense motive: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (11) + 14 = 25

Cup looks at you all,

"I like apple pies and looking at things here, It seems its my lucky day"

he gos over to the oven

"O i see, well it was on the wrong settings, some one put it right then, Ruby and his blasted contraptions "

Female Aasimar Witch 4/Druid 3

He says this as if talking to the air,

"What bloody use is that! I ask you? when they say things, vet the dross will ya"

he stops and looks back at you all.

"You best come to the shop, and I hear what you have too say"

You can talk to him before you get to his shop

Female Aasimar Witch 4/Druid 3

Im not concerned with my family any longer. Now my own well-being is my only concern. i have other things to talk about so i will follow.

Male Bariaur Cleric 7

Quickly grabbing another pie and stuffing it in his bag, Jarun waves to the baker and follows the group as they head out. With his mouth still full, at one point your mouth will be too full to allow for easy swallowing, he just tries not to look too dumb and follows Bastille and the old mage.

F Sylph Ninja 7

Brehna let's the others leave then casually leaves moments later.she'll take to the roofs and follow stealthfully.

Half-orc Inquisitor 1 AC 18/12/16 / HP 10/10 / F +5 R +3 W +5 / Init. +4 / Perc. +6 / Sense Motive +7

Grune tags along, curious to see where this is going.

AC 30, HP 96/96, Fort +14, Ref +11, Will +3, AoO 9/9

Runt follows his cubic charge.

Cup leads your down some back streets to an odd looking door, He plases his hand on it and the wood opens, it dos not swing opens the wood itself opnes into a larger space, you then realize the door is not fixed to the wall its in-front of, he steps in.

If you follow.

You you enter the most odd of spaces, the room is filed with junk ,all manner of junk but that is not what is odd, what is odd is the fact that every bit of furniture and fixings in the room is part of the room, a wood room. The places to sit, the tables the lot, even down to a fire place with a pot on it. Pub gos to a large desk and sits down behind it, in front is a number of stools grown by the looks of it from the floor. The room is some 40m x 60m x30m with no windows but lights.

If you take a stool.

He looks at you an says

"So whats this all about?"

F Sylph Ninja 7

Brehna flies down and follows into the room.

Female Aasimar Witch 4/Druid 3

Batty takes a seat with koda standing behind her.Its quite simple really. I would like to know about the green war. Plants are misbehaving and id like to know why?

CUt sits back and looks up at the ceiling,

"Arrrr of course Toe can not tell you himself because of her, but he knows I will, because I was there."

he gets up and walks around the room looking for some thing then from under a pile pulls out small picture. He hands it to you.

The image (it dos not seem to have been painted looks like a print of some kind) is of a ship or craft, it has sails but also some large ball like parts and odd looking gondola like contraption. For all the oddness of her shape you can see she was very well made, standing in front of the craft are 6 in a row, you recognize a younger Mr Cup as one of them, there is alo

1) Younger Mr Cup
2) A small Being all in read with a red Tophat
3) A Tall woman
4) A spider like being (Local DC25)
5) A half/Dragon
6) A fat odd looking being (Planes DC20)
7) some thing small you can not make out (Persep-DC30)

"That's the "Lady of Joy" it was my home for 7 years, she was an Plane ship, we stole here from a Gifyanki mage we did, and had her refitted to Rubys plans. 'Go any place this' he said and he was right. We traveled the planes going places others could only dream off. Can you images it, no need for a key or gateway, the Ship made her own if you know how. Only Ruby and Broom knew how"
he points at the spider like thing.
"We got rich, he plan was simple with would buy cheap stuff you can only get in planes hard to get to and sell for a kings ransom in the markets of planes with more gold and gems then seance. A planer Merchant sailing the seas of reality."

he gos back to hes seat and flops down in it, then waves his had around the room.

"As you see not ever thing we paid for we where able to sell. This room is the 'Lady of joys' hold, it gets bigger to hits what you put in it, it why I keep it full of our old junk, Ruby stripped it out for our one last great trip. You see Ruby just could not stop tinkering, hes a nice chap but that is one great gif and flaw, It was down to 'Lamp' he was the stat of it (he points at the fat being in the image) Lamp has greed in his bones, he would not be happy if he had a world of gold. Ruby had this idea, you may think it made that ALL planes stated from the same seed plane. That when a plane no mater how small or for how short a time comes into being, three of formed, A positive and negative
of the plane."

he suddenly looks over the side of the room.

"Yes that what he said! Why tell me that I know what he had on at the time!"

He points at the other side of the room
"Why can you not be like him, he says nothing and happy I am for it now keep out of it"

He looks back at you.

"one plane two echos of its creation, well Ruby said the Echos lead back to just one point and spot in time. One place where every plane has a seed. So Lamp has this plan, we would make the ship fly the Echos and got to the see plane, there we would make our own plane. Just think about it, a whole plane just for us, we could be kings, gods what ever we liked and a whole plane would be ours. Well that was the plan."

He stops and looks at you all as if thinking but not moving at all.

he looks frozen

Sorry, been travelling with limited net access.

Metalbeard has been following Batty, and watches & listens carefully to the detailed story.

After the story, he looks around at his companions before speaking. This be quite an interestin' tale. But... the question we be askin' is, what this green war be about. How be this 'Lady of Joy' part of the Green War?

Diplomacy: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (15) + 14 = 29

The story of the mage had Jarun daydream. To travel on such a ship... the freedom it encompasses represents everything that's important in his life. Jarun looks around in wonder, peers at the picture and listens to what the mage is telling.

When he falls silent Jarun asks him:

"What went wrong?"

At the mention of Githyanki, Runt's eyes narrow, but he says nothing.

Female Aasimar Witch 4/Druid 3

Batty grabs a pie box and opens it offeiring it to their host. Hopefully it will shake him out of it.

He blinks for a moment then takes a pie,

"Thanks, love pie me, sorry who are you?"

Female Aasimar Witch 4/Druid 3

Yes, we were here to talk about the green war. Names, Batty. You were reminiscing and drifted off. Perhaps you set up a mental defense in your past to trigger in relation to the events during the time this photo was taken. Batty indicates the photo he showed us all.
