Ebonfeather's attacks bounce off an invisible wall of force (except the last one, dealing 4 damage).
Umberto does not crit, but deals an impressive 14 damage to the elemental, killing it. That leaves one elmental at full health and a Jason.
Drahz will attack Jason.
Drahz Attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (16) + 3 = 19 Damage TBA when paizo.com loads
Daphne Hermstos |
Holding her ground Daphne does what she does best, fires and reloads.
Crossbow: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (12) + 5 = 17
Damage: 1d8 ⇒ 1

OK. Loot the corpse, Umberto grabs the sword. I'll heal people when I get to a computer, then back to the boat/previous room.

Umberto catches fire for 1d4 rounds. At the start of the elemental's next turn, he will take 1d4 damage.
Mushroom catches fire for 1d4 rounds. At the start of the elemental's next turn, she will take 1d4 damage.
After rereading this, I don't think Umberto ever took the burn damage.
Umberto should be currently down 10, Mushroom is down 8, Ebonfeather is down 2, I don't think anyone else took damage in this fight.
Using the wand with an unknown number of charges:
Umberto: CLW: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4, Umberto down 6, wand down 12 charges
Umberto: CLW: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9, Umberto full, wand down 13 charges
Mushroom: CLW: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4, Mushroom down 4, wand down 14 charges
Mushroom: CLW: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7, Mushroom full, wand down 15 charges
Might as well heal myself too. Wand now down 16 charges.

Emphasis mine:
As you summit the volcano, you find yourself staring at a stone platform suspended above the center. In the center of the platform there is a small pedestal on which a flaming greatsword resides. The flames are sticking to the blade, and not the hilt. On the far side of the platform is a gold throne. A young man sits on this throne. When you appear he smiles.
I am Jason, guard of the Blade. You must kill me if you wish to take the Fire Swiftblade. Or of course you could steal it with some deft fingers. Or you could magically transport it out of the cave. Or you could... you get the point. But rest assured that if you try to remove it, I will fight back.
Umberto Greenfingers |
Umberto smiles and lifts Jason's sword. It appears to be the same size and shape as he is used to. "I will carry this, if no one minds. It seems almost made for me." He sheathes his old greatsword, fetches his polearm, and carries it and the new greatsword.
Ebonfeather Sharpclaw |
Since there was no response to my "loot the corpse" statement, I'm assuming Jason had no loot.
Is Drazh gone completely? Can we continue without him?

Detect Magic.
Meta-game speaking, they are probably Bracers of Armor. I highly doubt they would be +4 or better, so they likely provide no value to us. Since we have no way to identify them, I'll put them in my pack. When we get to 2nd level, I'll put a couple of ranks in Spellcraft, though I'd have to get pretty lucky to actually identify anything.
OK, we go back to the boat, row back to the entry way, return to the chamber and proceed through the center door that smells of dirt (presumably earth elemental based this time?).

Cast Light on a rock and throw it down the hallway.
Look out for traps before continuing down.
Perception: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (1) + 9 = 10
Daphne Hermstos |
Perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (6) + 7 = 13
Daphne levels her crossbow down the corridor.
Ebonfeather Sharpclaw |
If they aren't attacking, I am willing to wait to deal with them after we clear out the room ahead.
Ebonfeather watches the humanoid forms with a wary eye and a ready bow. If they make no move to attack and say nothing in the next few rounds time, he will simply turn around and keep heading down the corridor.
Daphne Hermstos |
Daphne turns to cover the rear, crossbow at the ready.
If they prove hostile.
MW L Crossbow: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6
Damage: 1d8 ⇒ 8

"Do you think they were being literal or figurative?"
Ebonfeather will proceed forward, taking special care to examine the floor at his feet.
Perception: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (2) + 9 = 11
Daphne Hermstos |
Daphne will be sure to keep to the sides of the cavern and not step directly where they sank into the floor.
Perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (7) + 7 = 14
