Khayalani |
As far as tying backgrounds together goes, Khayalani has only been in Kenabres for a few months and she does not know where she lived before then.
Anyone who frequents trainings or sparring sessions probably has seen her as she rather stands out with her red silken wrist wraps and plain, white, porcelain mask. That and her rather unorthodox choice of weapon.
Those more magically inclined might have noticed her as well by the shimmer of magic that surrounds her when she spars with others.
Ellismus Rayne |
Just realized I hadn't selected a Story Feat (nor my favored class bonus for that matter). I suppose Vengeance might work after the first scene (if we know who the main bad guy of the AP is). I'll think a bit.
Ellismus, although not born in Kenabres, was raised there.
I, probably like Khayalani, dotted the gameplay thread and then deleted the post (reduces clutter but still marks it as part of our campaigns).
GM Master of the Abyss |
Ah, NOW I get it! I feel somewhat stupid never having known that! :/
I assume everyone has read the WotR Player's Guide?
I will also be giving really cool, custom-tailored treasures throughout the campaign. So if everyone here has something in particular they want, PM me and I'll see about working it in!
GM Master of the Abyss |
Tryggve, since they're demons and have seen a LOT worse things than just a group of mortals, MOST demons will be almost impossible to intimidate! There will be a few who can be, but not many. However, it bears mentioning that there are more than just demonic foes. These will be much more susceptible!
Chi-Chi, did you dot gameplay then delete it? I don't think it registers under discussion. Not entirely sure, despite how many campaigns I run lol!
Khayalani |
I actually have a quick question about that; since they're demons, are many of the foes we face susceptible to demoralization or being shaken by intimidation? I probably should have asked this earlier~ T_T
Well, it should be possible, I mean the Tiefling feat [url=http://www.d20pfsrd.com/feats/general-feats/ancestral-scorn]Ancestral Scorn[/ur;] is all about intimidating demons and other fiends.
Chi_ |
I will think on item ideas for Chi, but Desna related gear would be neat.
Also if you find room for my Lapith in a future game that would be neat. I don't mind being at the bottom of the waiting list, that would only be fair. ;) Let me know boss and thanks!
I picture her in a small apartment or living in the sewers of Kenebras.
I have read the guide before and am re-reading it now to make usre I haven't missedsomething. :)
GM Master of the Abyss |
Khayalani, it's possible, but many have been homeruled with MUCH higher DCs to hit. After all, demons have lived for eons, so what is one piddling mortal? I AM ruling that their high DCs to Intimidate are reduced once they reach a certain HP % threshold (The ones with vested interests who want to stay on Golarion anyway. The ones that just don't care are almost impossible to intimidate!).
Chi, you're welcome. And I'll let you know, but you will be given less consideration than those who have NOT been selected for one of my games before. Also, why not have her living in an APARTMENT in THE SEWERS? Surely Ratfolk do that? :)
GM Master of the Abyss |
Oh, and here are some of my little OCDs regarding posting. You don't have to follow these, but they are preferred.
"This is how people talk."
"This is how people whisper..."
"This is how people communicate telepathically or speak in tongues!"
'This is how you internally monologue in your head.'
"THIS IS HOW YOU BOOM WITH YOUR VOICE!!!"

Just saw this after posting in the Gameplay thread hehe, pretty close, except I tend to use Spoilers for when a character is whispering.
Lune Shikari |
Now off to read everyone's backstories.
Hmm, as to what Lune is doing in Kenebras... Dunno :3 it's definetly a lot harder for her to move around in civilized areas but I guess if Kenebras has sewers then she would have run into Chi. Probably scared the poor thing half to death.
Chi_ |
Me too. But those posting rules are standard for me. :)
Ty for clarifying GM~
As for your other game. Totally cool with being not accepted and being on a standby list for when people drop out during the gameplay. Thats what I meant originally. :)
Because like you said it is only fair. I just really like my Lapith lol. ;)
Looking forward to playing a gun/alchemists for the first time! :D
Chi_ |
Lol being a gulch gunner i am sure Chi would fall back to a safer place to make a stand. The story behind gulch gunners is really cool and despite her young age Chi isn't the type to run scared for long. Especially after losing one home already. :(
However once she realized Lune isnt (hopefully ;) ) trying to eat her then she would leave it well enough alone. If Lune needed a place to stay Chi wouldnt hesitate to let her stay in her hovel. So long as she didnt hurt her or her rat companions.
Weather or not this is in the sewers or a small apartment can be worked out shortly. :)
Although I do admit that anyone would run scared from Lune at first lol!
Tryggve |
8 for me...damn, I know what I want!
Advanced Constitutuion (4rp): Tryggve is a very hearty individual, even more so than most humans. Some say he has giants blood running through his veins...or some other ridiculous notion that's just as plausible.
Ferocity (4rp): Tryggve refuses to, as many of his enemies describe,JUST DIE ALREADY! Even when dying or beyond the human limits to remain conscious, the near-albino continues to fight on with little regards for said limits.
Also, sound pretty good for an epic demon slaying campaign!
Korina, Daughter of Yog-Sothoth |
Fetchling: 17 RP
Humans: 9 RP
This gives me a total of 8 RP to play with!
------
First Choice:
Fast Healing (6 RP - A by-product of Korina's alien heritage makes her "revert" to how she sees herself over time, essentially unwinding damage done)
Static Bonus Feat (2 RP - Haven't decided this one, but another Feat is always helpful. XD It'd have to be a basic one with no prerequisites, per rules text, but yes.)
--
Second Choice:
Frightful Gaze (6 RP - Most beings have no understanding of Korina's alien heritage, but that doesn't mean they won't be afraid if she shows them a little glimpse... Ah, but I'd add fluff to allow her to turn it on and off at-will, rather than permanently on)
Static Bonus Feat (2 RP - See above)
--
Third Choice:
Advanced Charisma (4 RP - Because let's face it, charm is kind of her thing.)
Spell Resistance, Greater (3 RP - Natural resistance to magical effects because she's too weird to be affected by everything they do.)
Sociable (1 RP - Because she's very, very good at talking her way into others' confidence.)
--
Or I could keep trying. XD
GM Master of the Abyss |
Lune, what, were you going to make her a baby lol? :P
Tryggve, those DEFINITELY fit you! I was even going to SUGGEST Ferocity!
Korina, the first one is much more useful and interesting to RP. After all, if her gaze was scary, wouldn't they have either killed her or not messed with her in the first place lol?
Korina, Daughter of Yog-Sothoth |
Well, if she turned it off... XD Still, first one it is! I'll be building in Hero Lab and then updating the alias, so you can expect to see that soon. ^^
Lune Shikari |
But seriously though I was considering
Exalted Resistance (3 RP): Prerequisite: Outsider (native) with ties to Elysium, Heaven, or Nirvana; Benefit: Members of this race gain spell resistance equal to 6 + their character level against spells and spell-like abilities with the evil descriptor, as well as any spells and spell- like abilities cast by evil outsiders.
In order to represent her Aasimar heritage.
Korina, Daughter of Yog-Sothoth |
All right, got my choices in. ^^ Added the fluff for Fast Healing, and... I picked "Mind Over Body" (from Ultimate Psionics) as my feat choice. I already had a way to heal HP damage, so I figured a faster way of healing Ability Damage would be an appropriate match. XD
Korina, Daughter of Yog-Sothoth |
I'm pretty sure At-Will for Alter Self would be 4 RP total.
"Special: This trait costs as many RP as twice the level of spell chosen (minimum 2). Up to five spells can be chosen when you take this trait. Each time you take an additional spell, adjust the RP cost of this trait appropriately." (For Spell-Like Ability, At-Will)
Alter Self is second level on all lists.
Korina, Daughter of Yog-Sothoth |
Not a bad use for your two points. ^^ Best things in that range are probably upgrading spell-like abilities or getting a feat, and Alter Self definitely has its uses.
Tryggve |
Man, looking at everything we've been allowed to do, it almost feels ridiculous. I'm not complaining, but it's almost overwhelming compared to the usual 20 point buy I'm used to. And then the new Race Customizing points we're allowed to spend just scare me even more.
All together it becomes:
*Damage Reduction starting at second level
*Ferocity allowing me to fight even until -20 hp
*Planning to take Renewed Vigor and Regenerative Vigor (fast healing during rage)
*Going Beast Totem for flavor and Pounce
*20 strength and 20 constitution
*Health out the wazzu
*Intimidation out the wazzu
Not even counting the Legendary levels we'll be taking, which add more DR and an ability to revive even if I actually die.
I'm legitimately scared to play my own character; is this normal?
