Male Trapper/Guide 7 HP: 69/69; AC: 18, T: 13, FF: 15; Fort: +8, Ref: +9, Will: +5; Init: +5, Perception +17

"Oh good, if I'm wrong, I get to die first." Flynt says as he rolls his eyes. Flynt will go through said door and possibly into oblivion.

As soon as the young man touched the door handle, the green orbs went out. Carefully, Flynt opened the door to reveal another corridor lined with glowing orbs. However, unlike the last one, you can clearly see the steel door on the other end.

Male Trapper/Guide 7 HP: 69/69; AC: 18, T: 13, FF: 15; Fort: +8, Ref: +9, Will: +5; Init: +5, Perception +17

Flynt breathes a sigh of relief as he isn't instantly obliterated. He cautiously walks through the hallway eyes alert for traps.

Perception: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (2) + 11 = 13

Flynt:
You don't see anything threatening as progress down the hall.

Putting a hand lightly on his arm she looks at him, "I know you do luv, it'll be okay. We'll get him back."

Flynt:
Just a plain, ordinary steel door, faintly humming with electricity.

Male Trapper/Guide 7 HP: 69/69; AC: 18, T: 13, FF: 15; Fort: +8, Ref: +9, Will: +5; Init: +5, Perception +17

Flynt will open the door, unlocking it if needed. "An untrapped door. I'm suspicious."

She laughs a little, "So...when are you not suspicious?"

Male Trapper/Guide 7 HP: 69/69; AC: 18, T: 13, FF: 15; Fort: +8, Ref: +9, Will: +5; Init: +5, Perception +17

"Hey, I'd like to think of it as having a healthy sense of self preservation, thank you very much."

She throws her hands up as she smiles, "Okay...okay, just sayin."

Flynt:
Guess I was too subtle, it was trapped. But you disarmed it.

As Flynt disabled the lock, a series of clicks resounded within door. Anyka, Jin, and Flynt recognized it as that of the sound of a trap disarming.

Male Trapper/Guide 7 HP: 69/69; AC: 18, T: 13, FF: 15; Fort: +8, Ref: +9, Will: +5; Init: +5, Perception +17

GM:

Oh. Yea, too subtle. I thought maybe it just had lights or something. I will endeavor to be more paranoid from now on. :)

As Flynt opens the door, another wooden room is revealed. A fairly large, square shaped enclosure with a cone of white light cascading down from above, and what appears to be a sizable stone sun dial.

Male Trapper/Guide 7 HP: 69/69; AC: 18, T: 13, FF: 15; Fort: +8, Ref: +9, Will: +5; Init: +5, Perception +17

Flynt will carefully walk in and looks for the puzzle and/or traps.

She looks at the thing in the middle of the room and looks back at the others, a slightly confused expression on her face. "What in the Hell is that, and what are we supposed to do with it?" There seems to be some frustration tinging her voice.

Flynt:
You notice nothing special about the sun dial, and don't see any traps.

As the group enters the room, the doesn't slam, but rather a panel slides down and the numbers one through twelve begin to glow upon the walls. On the sun dial, four gems appear and an inscription in common that reads:

Start at five
To half past three
End at eight
And doors open to thee.

I tbink it's just 5 6 8, cuz it said half past three, as in go past it don't stop on it. That's how I see it anyways.

"Half past three would be 3:30, no? 5, between 3 and 4, then 8. The trick is how to enter the numbers. Perhaps by walking or by casting a light spell and making the shadow fall like it would on a sundial?"

-Posted with Wayfinder

Female Human (1/2 Minkai) Rogue 7 (Knifemaster)

"Yeah, the key to a sundial would be to move the light source. Anyka conjectures

Male Trapper/Guide 7 HP: 69/69; AC: 18, T: 13, FF: 15; Fort: +8, Ref: +9, Will: +5; Init: +5, Perception +17

"Or we take the gems and place them on the sundial. Yea, half past 3 is 3:30 which means 3 and 6 on a clock right?"

HP 70/70 Panache=5 Swashbuckler 7 Init +6 AC/FF/T 21/15/16 | F+6 R+12 W+3 | Perc +8 +scent

Flynt will place the gems on sundial in this order: 5, 3, 6, 8.

Nothing happens.

Looking frustrated, Gashka walks around the sun dial and tries to keep herself from kicking it.

F Human

Terra follows along, the wooden rooms are all fuzzy to her. she staggers some a little like she is drunk and the wooden floor is disorienting her somewhat.

I really don't know sundials and such. but they do work off of light.

Terra steps to the stone sundial. she feels the stone trying to sense any mechanisms or passages that it may hide.

"Well atleast I'm not obliterated. Oh duh!" Flynt straightens up as he picks up a gem and hands the rest out to the others. "Hold them up so they focus the light on the numbers I tried."

Female Half-Orc Brawler 7 HP: 59/66; AC: 19, T: 14, FF: 15; Fort: +5, Ref: +7, Will: +3; Init: +3; Perception: +11, Sense Motive: +11, Intimidate: +16

As before, nothing happens when the light is focused on the numbers.

Davick, who had remained silent during their trek through this mysterious place, had been looking around the room for other clues.
