I managed to drink SIX 20oz things of water today so far. I'm saving some to take with my medicine. I'm hoping that I won't have to get up a bunch of times to go to the bathroom tonight and actually get some decent sleep. I really need some solid sleep.

So just out of curiosity, what is everyone looking for on the island?
Catnip and Rum Tacos. Is that a thing? Tikkle wants it to be a thing.
In all seriousness, and obvious want of something to defeat the Piper aside, Tikkle would love nothing more than a Pegasus Sail.

Addysin is awake and off the vent now, but had a stroke and now can't use her right side. She's gonna go yo an acute care facility after release from the hospital so she won't be coming back to our class, we don't know if her twin will be back or not.

My lack of posting is because i've got no idea whats going on.
We were talking to some cabbage guy then we went to a lighthouse ended up in a bar and now were chasing a treasure from a map we got for a pittance of gold. Stuff and things.

So....with my phone sucking and not having any other internet capability beyond the browser and wayfinder...I'm just sorta SOL on the whole posting bit.
I am restricted to my computer at home until they fix this issue and that's it....so my posting ability is going to really slow down, which I apologize for, but there's really nothing I can do about it. Which sort of drives me crazy a little bit.
We went to an outdoor picnic event this afternoon and now we're both sick from being out in the sun too much. I'm just hoping my stomach settles down enough for me to get some sleep. The reason I'm on so late right now is because as soon as we got home we were so worn out that we both laid down for a while before we were able to get the strength up to do anything at all.
I'm gonna be going back to bed here shortly, since I still have to be up early for work in the morning so I still won't get much done and I won't be able to post again until after I get home from work tomorrow.
I have a feeling that is also why we haven't heard from Tikkle in a while. All he's got out at the camp is his phone, and if wayfinder isn't working....it might be a while before we hear from him again.

she speaks truf. hopefully they know about the issue and are fixing it. just got to my pc today.

Henry said the last this happened it took them a couple of months to fix the problem. I'm hoping that isn't the case here....but we'll see. In the meantime we'll just do the best that we can.
So...how's camp?

I apologize for the long absence, but I've had a lot on my mind as of late. As such, I feel I need to ask something of all of you and please be honest as possible. I feel that no one here is having fun with this game and that it's time to just call it and let it pass. Before I do that, I would really like to know your thoughts on the subject.

Ok so I guess I'll go first. For me its that the game has sort of lost any coherent story that keeps me hooked. I like the characters, but it feels like a series of random fight scenes loosely connected by random pop culture reference set pieces that sort of jar me out of what narrative there is.
There are definitely some great ideas, and the opening really grabbed me, but there' a lack of feeling as if we've accomplished anything other than collect xp.
I'm sorry if that seems harsh but you wanted honest.
Christophe Debroux |
I might be a little bit more brutal than Anyka, but I'm going to be totally honest. I've lost a lot of my ability to post more frequently since Wayfinder is out of commission, but it's not like Chris is important anyway. His healing and his alchemy are the only things that matter in the scheme of things. Otherwise, he could be easily replaced by just about anything that casts divine spells.
There are a lot of half-ideas here and it seems like you're not sure what kind of game you want to run. Part of it seems adventure-y, part of it seems like a mystery and part of it seems like total dismal hopelessness (ala Call of Cthulhu). Just go with your gut and run the game you feel most comfortable running.
You could run with the whole Timelord angle. Make the Doctor a GMNPC and we could be his companions (no law saying there can't be more than one). Then you could try out a variety of things and it'll sit much better than the casual appearances.
Or we can do something Skull and Shackles-esque since Tikkle has a ship, but that leads me to another problem I've noticed. This is nothing against Tikkle or how he plays, but he's in charge of the plot device. Really, the rest of us are just window-dressing because we don't have a lot of say in where we go or what we do right now. Personally, I feel powerless and have no incentive to post.
If you want to continue with the Piper angle, the in-jokes and gags need to go. They don't fit the serious tone and break the mood. Another suggestion is to make a GMNPC to accompany us and keep us pointed in the right direction. The game feels kinda like a sandbox game and it doesn't feel like that's a right fit either for the plot. Clues need to be a little more concrete and a little more inclusive. There should be something for everyone to do to move the story forward.
Honestly, I think that we should back up a few steps, you should set us in the direction you want us to go storywise and we should stick to it instead of trying something else if it feels someone is getting bored.
My two cents.

Well....that pretty much says it all as far as I'm concerned. I'm not that eloquent with words...or that tactful for that matter. So I'm pretty much gonna reiterate what my hubby said. With wayfinder not working due to the stupid updates, I'm very limited on how much I can post.
That said, there are too many half ideas floating around and it makes for a very frustrating game. I don't even know what's going on half the time and the other half is spent with me trying to keep my character from going insane. I feel like we keep getting teased with the ability to stop something horrible from happening, just to have it pulled out from under us.
It feels like just a bunch of combats that don't really make sense or connect anything.
You have some good ideas, but you need to commit to one.
That's all I pretty much have to say about that.
I enjoy this character and the other characters as well...it's just a story issue.
