The group focuses on the last enemy and takes it down with ease from the amount of strikes aimed at it.

Koldur:
As you quietly move into the fort you can recognize there are a lot of bodies around and inside of the fort on the right side you can see a large beast of some kind eating, it is faced the other way and does not appear to notice you. K Nature check to determine what is the beast.

You might not notice it but we are still in rounds for a reason.

Before Hykan can even get close enough to pass through the burning gate, the large bear like creature turns towards the words being spoken. It charges forward with feathers flying off and the owl like visage mixed with some bear markings comes at you. Its claw strikes Oscar's armor but gains no purchase.

The owlbear falls with a shriek as the group tears it apart with their slashing weapons, arrows, and fiery blasts. Though that beast was not the only thing waiting as three men appear from a staircase behind the owlbear and charge the group. Though they move to the side since they can not strike this turn. Also two arrows shoot out from the far end of the hallway at Oscar. Sable comes in and attacks the owlbear burrowing the blade in the beast's skull just to make sure it is down.

Heroes first then the bandits. It will be either a DC 12 acrobatics check to balance over the owlbear at half speed (fail and fall prone) or DC 5 climb check moving at 1/4 speed (most would be 5 ft. per move)

The two hobgoblins come down and Kreig asks, "Shall we keep you covered or move in?"

The kobolds seem happy to loot and make sure all the bandits are dead but soon they look to Jevar in similar fashion of the hobgoblins.

The owlbear body moves with the three of you pushing it and Hycan jumps up on it for a shot... which misses as it hits between his feet. The bandits move back so now all of them have full cover. They appear to be waiting for you to come in as more arrows fly from within at Hycan.

The kobolds and hobgoblins move forward swamping in the front of the fort ready for a fight. The owlbear does move with the mighty push behind it and it keeps rolling. Hycan deftly keeps his feet as the owlbear rolls.

Jevar not sure which you are aiming at, I added color to the enemies and allies. Blue I believe you were trying to hit but he is in full cover now.

The battle is long and drawn out. Many strikes are made but most are parried. Olivira and Hundor emerge from a portal and join the fray supporting the group. Fey even make strafing runs to aid your team or hinder the bandits. Many blows are struck and the weaker bandits fall prey to your weapons, though the battle continues. Reknar and Oscar to their best to keep your team healed but soon run out of divine spells. Hycan takes a mortal arrow to one of his eyes and falls himself during the battle. The large lout Auchs and Donovan the sly duelist both fall soon after. Likely the largest change in the tide of the battle is Akiros a mighty martial bloke turns on the bandits and helps you take down the Stag Lord. All of you lay bloody and partly broken from the battle. Olivira walks amongst you with a healing aura merely stopping the bleeding though Sable, Hundor, and Jevar seem refreshed.

From the lower levels of the fort comes a half mad druid with a bear claw for one arm and a large beak for a mouth. Your group makes quick work of the druid, which loses its transformation back to an elderly man once he is dead.

Down in the druid's macab workshop there are several prisoners. One is a dwarf named Rognar Grimtooth. There are 4 other prisoners, I will allow my present PCs to bring in a support NPC if they wish, you get to choose what class they have and what skills to help, also get me a name, age, race, and a small paragraph for personality.

Two of the chests hold bedding and other miscellaneous items, including a bolt of burlap cloth, old clothing, an iron ring, and three crudely stitched leather masks. In the third chest, the Stag Lord keeps his best treasures. This consists of 141 gp, a polished azurite crystal worth 9 gp, a carnelian worth 80 gp, a piece of hematite worth 13 gp, a shard of obsidian worth 14 gp, a red garnet worth 100 gp, a pewter belt buckle depicting a pair of entwined succubi worth 30 gp, and a silver charm bracelet worth 60 gp.

Three unlocked crates in the storage
area hold 10 longbows, 260 arrows, 5 short swords, 5 spears, four 50-foot lengths of hemp rope, a set of chisels, 2 hammers, 3 tins of iron nails, and 4 suits of leather armor.

The majority of the wealth kept here consists of mundane trade goods like pelts, furs, tobacco, iron, bronze, miscellaneous weapons and armor (none masterwork or magic), and miscellaneous adventuring gear and tools worth a combined total of 6,850 gp. In addition, one chest in area Z11a contains 4,500 cp, 2,052 sp, 894 gp, and 21 pp, while a large bag in area Z11b contains 2,900 gp in various pieces of stolen jewelry.

The Stag Lord’s Gear :
The Stag Lord possesses two unusual magic items, both of which he found amid the ruins of the fort when he first arrived in the area. The first is his suit of +1 leather armor; this suit consists of a heavy cloak, gloves, kilt, and boots, but leaves his chest bare—although the armor looks incomplete, it actually functions just as well as any suit of magic leather armor. His second unusual item is his distinctive helmet.

Stag’s Helm Aura faint divination; CL 5th Slot head; Price 3,500 gp; Weight 3 lbs. DeSCRIPTIOn This striking helmet is crafted to resemble the skull of a mighty stag. Although made from bone, the antlers and helm are as strong as metal. When worn, the helm greatly enhances eyesight and hearing, granting a +2 competence bonus on Perception checks. In addition, once per day the helm may be called upon to enhance any ranged attack made by the wearer to make an insightful shot. Activating this ability is a free action, and once activated, your next ranged attack against a target within 30 feet is made as if that target were flat-footed against you—this allows a rogue to gain the benefit of sneak attack with this shot. If you don’t make a ranged attack within 1 round of activating this power, the insight fades and is wasted for that day. A worshiper of Erastil who wears this helm may utilize the insightful shot ability up to 3 times per day. Once he has his holy symbol he will pray for one minute with all his new companions for luck and good tobacco through Halcamora.

"Ah!!!!!! Another dwarven kin! Hail and well met! I'm Koldur and Tobacco is a fine art indeed. Almost as good as a fight to get one's blood pumping." Koldur greets their newest dwarven companion.

While waiting for their wounds to be treated, the reckless dwarf examines their loot gained.
"Pity that we'd have to slaughter them all. Stupid Bandits. And......what do we have here????" as he pulls out the amulet of natural armor.

He examines it carefully but doesn't say anything else as he waits for his fellow companions to speak.


After Akiros helped you defeat the Stag Lord he released his sword to Oscar. He is willing to serve the group and stop his banditry, he was kinda roped into it and didn't want to die. Auchs, Donovan, and several of the other bandits surrendered. But Oscar would not let Donovan survive, "There is evil in that one."

Her appearance is that of a tempting succubus. Raven black hair spilling over two massive horns and a massive mane behind. Glowing blue eyes, stark white teeth in comparison to her dark ruby glistening lips. A glittering diamond on her forehead and a necklace of bones and black leather. A red dress leaving little imagination to the viewer of all her deadly curves. Pert and amble breasts nearly ready to be free from the lack of clothing covering them. The rest of the dress covers her front and back, leaving cuts along the side to let her athletic legs be viewed easily. No wings or other demonic appearances as her hands are delicate with clean fingernails. On her head is a strange metallic hat of sorts made of flat strips of metal some six inches long with strange runes upon them, they almost seem to suspend in the air around her face as if ioun stones without the rotation.

She continues to walk around looking for loot, Hundor at her side with his spear in hand. With Koldur's mention she looks his way and smiles as she walks over. She politely says, "Sir Koldur you have a amulet of protections there. Also here is a ring of protections and even more over here." She is collecting them and putting all the magical items on a table in the back of the fort.

She bristles at the comment and stares Rognar down before continuing identifying the magical items.

Jevar stands up and uses the Nodachi as a brace, still feeling a mild bit exhausted from all the fighting. This had the be the longest military encounter he'd done in a while and the bandits were pretty relentless.

He looked over the dead and sighed, it was a lot of wasted blood today. Perhaps he'd find time eventually to give them a right proper burial at some point but now was not the time.

He joined up with the others in the druid's cave and looked around, spying the Dwarven prisoner and giving him a nod. "You're in fine company traveling Dwarf. I'm not quite sure of your luck given that you ended up in prison with a bunch of bandits, but lets assume it's because you were lucky enough to live and be captive for as short as you were?" he said trying to be polite and understanding.

He bows his head politely at Olivira before turning a bit towards the new dwarf "She's a lovely young Outsider, and to be honest she's been nothing but a delight as long as I've known her. I would hope given her presence and my own, you do not plan to hold prejudice against us purely for the potential of our ilk. My race and yours have never been close to the word friend, but I hope you accept that my help in your saving as a sign that I mean you no harm." he offered bowing and baring the back of his neck even to the potential opponent.

He lifts his head and winks at the dwarf "Course you could always call me a poncy dark skinned slaver scum and I call you a soot stained, ale smelling walking keg if you prefer." he said grinning.

"Still, that's a mouthful. Perhaps just I call you Rognar or friend and you call me Jevar or friend even if you like." he said politely.

He stepped over to the table and scratched his chin a bit and spied the Stag helm. He tilted his head, reminded a bit of Erastil's preferences. "Olivira, this is magical? Is there any ill intent from it?" he asked curious if darker magic was present in it.
