All I can say is that Feast of Ravenmoor was... dark. Very dark.

Oh, it's brilliant, isn't it? My all-time favorite module by far.

Congrats, Zed! As part of the group that completed Godsmouth with you, I can say it's been a blast! Loving this one so far. Still having a bit of a hard time adjusting to being a non-damage-dealer, but I'm having fun!

Congrats to you, Zed! 5k DM posts are amazing!

These are exciting time to be an RPG'er it seems.... Two RPG reboots that have been instant successes - I don't recall much about either of the original versions of the games but, if you feel like getting your inner Swashbuckler or Barbarian on, these look like pretty good prospects!!!

Kickstarter for 'The 7th Sea, 2nd Edition'.

Kickstarter for 'Conan, Adventures in an Age Unknown'

They are also amazing value if you back just for PDF... 40 dollars for PDF's of pretty much everything in the 7th Sea Kickstarter (including the entire 1st edition collection!) or 40 of your UK pounds for PDF's of the Conan Rulebook plus ALL of the unlocked books (3 unlocked so far and 4 more announced)...

...so very tempting although I shall probably just enjoy watching how far each campaign goes...

I've never played the 7th Sea RPG, but I was a pretty big fan of the card game for a bit. Cool setting, I am glad the kickstarter is doing so well!

Male Half-Elf Mythic (Marshal) Skald (Fated Champion) 6 - 52/52 HP - 18/17 AC; 12/11 T; 16/15 FF - Fort +8; Ref +4; Will +6/+8 - Initiative +5 - Perception +11 - Low-light Vision - RS 24/24 - Surge 1d6 - MP 5/5 - 1st 4/4, 2nd 2/2

In my endeavours to make Locke more frontline, Zed has agreed to let me retrain Flagbearer (as to make Astraea's morale bonuses more usable), which will allow me to have a shield. That'll boost my AC a bit. If I take some levels in Cavalier or a similar class I'll get better at hurting things, but I am not certain if I want to risk finding medium armour and incurring arcane spell failure chance for the AC boost. On the other hand, I think I plan to be more of an out of combat caster, while using my bardic performances and melee attacks in combat.

Decisions, decisions.

As a complete aside, have you all noticed the Paizo Humble Bundle? >$350 of PDFs for just $25, plus a physical copy of the Beginner's Box. I bought it even though I already had more than half of the items!

It's a massive bargain!!! If you didn't already have nearly everything on there!!!

Might still put in because... Charity... and also Beginner Box to get number one son (8 years old in March) rolling those 'twenties'...

...and Zoreck, the Will Save I asked for was for an in-game effect not for buying the Humble Bundle!!!

Male Half-Elf Mythic (Marshal) Skald (Fated Champion) 6 - 52/52 HP - 18/17 AC; 12/11 T; 16/15 FF - Fort +8; Ref +4; Will +6/+8 - Initiative +5 - Perception +11 - Low-light Vision - RS 24/24 - Surge 1d6 - MP 5/5 - 1st 4/4, 2nd 2/2

I plan on contributing. I have a lot of the books too, but I don't have the Beginner Box, which would be nice for introducing people to the game. And it's just such a great bundle and for charity so I really want to support Paizo in this.

Female Android Mythic (Guardian) Paladin 3 - 11/33 HP - 17 AC; 9 T; 18 FF - Fort +8; Ref +3; Will +5 - Initiative +2 - Perception +4

I got in myself on the bundle, although I had a great deal of the stuff. The almost full season of scenarios for PFS was the kicker for me.

I may just have done a bad thing... I've opened a recruitment thread for another game!!!

All of the games I am GM'ing at the moment (Emerald Spire, Shattered Star and Legendary Planet) are long running campaigns but it's also fun to run the occasional 'one off' adventure... having run Godsmouth Heresy (a few times!!!), Feast of Ravenmoor (admittedly inserted into my Shattered Star campaign) and Wardens of the Reborn Forge - I have decided to see if people have any interest in From Shore to Sea...

If any of you folks are interested then take a mosey over to: Here is the Recruitment Thread.

F Aasimar Oracle (Stargazer) 3 | Hierophant Tier 1 | hp 26 | AC 14/t11/ff13 | F+3, R+3, W+6 | Init.+3 | Perception+10, Darkvision 30ft.

At the risk of spreading myself thin... SOLD! I've been wanting to see this one in action for ages!

Female Android Mythic (Guardian) Paladin 3 - 11/33 HP - 17 AC; 9 T; 18 FF - Fort +8; Ref +3; Will +5 - Initiative +2 - Perception +4

I'm in too, 15 Pt buy be damned!

Female Android Mythic (Guardian) Paladin 3 - 11/33 HP - 17 AC; 9 T; 18 FF - Fort +8; Ref +3; Will +5 - Initiative +2 - Perception +4

That makes three of us in the new recruitment; anyone want to do a joint submission?

Male Half-Elf Mythic (Marshal) Skald (Fated Champion) 6 - 52/52 HP - 18/17 AC; 12/11 T; 16/15 FF - Fort +8; Ref +4; Will +6/+8 - Initiative +5 - Perception +11 - Low-light Vision - RS 24/24 - Surge 1d6 - MP 5/5 - 1st 4/4, 2nd 2/2

I am so in for a joint submission. I enjoy the interesting background it gives.

Male Ratfolk Mythic (Trickster 1) Preservationist 5 | AC (22)18/15/15 | HP 47/47 | F+7,R+8,W+3 | (+2 on saves vs. poison) | Init. +3 | Perc. + 11 | 20' Movement | Darkvision | 5/5 Hero points | 10 bombs a day | 5 Mythic power uses per day

I'm spread a bit too thin, DM, so I will pass. But, from what I've seen of you so far, I know it will be awesome!

I've also played Shore to Sea once. It was tough! That'll be a blast.

What sort of join submission might we do? Characters who are related to one another in some way?

I'm totally on board for that.

I'd do it. ;)

Female Android Mythic (Guardian) Paladin 3 - 11/33 HP - 17 AC; 9 T; 18 FF - Fort +8; Ref +3; Will +5 - Initiative +2 - Perception +4

I have a name picked but hell yeah Ill do it. Human?

This is getting interesting! I'm fine with human. What kind of age range would you guys like to be in if we are triplets?

Female Android Mythic (Guardian) Paladin 3 - 11/33 HP - 17 AC; 9 T; 18 FF - Fort +8; Ref +3; Will +5 - Initiative +2 - Perception +4

Adult at least, I think.

The triplets idea sounds amazing!

Twenty something triplets, all powerful in their own right, but perhaps a bit too cocky for their britches?

Female Android Mythic (Guardian) Paladin 3 - 11/33 HP - 17 AC; 9 T; 18 FF - Fort +8; Ref +3; Will +5 - Initiative +2 - Perception +4

My submission was Eddie Richter over in the recruitment. Geokineticist flavored as a construction worker.

So, you folks heading into the catacombs to try that sarcophagus once more and / or destroy Vuelib's laboratory? Or time to head back to Holver's Ferry?

Rikkan's attention is very focused on that sarcophagus, so that's his vote. But, I'll go with the party's wishes.

Drancis would go and finish destroying the laboratory, then take the villagers back to Holver's Ferry. The sarcophagus is not that important to him, but he will tag along anyway.

Female Android Mythic (Guardian) Paladin 3 - 11/33 HP - 17 AC; 9 T; 18 FF - Fort +8; Ref +3; Will +5 - Initiative +2 - Perception +4

So, GM post tomorrow which will take you back to Holver's Ferry and we'll wrap up the prequel adventure...

Thoughts on the 'Assimilation Strain'? Have you folks enjoyed it? Has it piqued your interest as to what is going on here and how it may relate to your forthcoming intergalactic adventure? I am planning on pulling together a review for this to pop onto the Paizo site so it would be great to have some input....

Female Android Mythic (Guardian) Paladin 3 - 11/33 HP - 17 AC; 9 T; 18 FF - Fort +8; Ref +3; Will +5 - Initiative +2 - Perception +4

Those first level encounters were absolutely brutal. I've enjoyed myself beyond that though I can't help but feel that calling it an "assimilation strain" was a misnomer of sort.

I would agree with Illonna by saying these encounters, especially the first level ones are TOUGH! If I was DMing this, I would at the very least give player's a chance to retreat. I also do like the (apparent) red herrings placed in the module too. It feels well put together and believable. I was constantly guessing here.

Other than that this module is one of the best 1st level modules I have played through, like back in the old 1E days. We are talking about U1, T1 and B2 great...also the Whispering Cairn. All classics!

I have no problem with the title as I do feel there is a definite otherworldly element that shows itself throughout the adventure.

Huge Thumbs Up!

It has been my favourite go at play by post so far. Though that may have something to do with the GM and not the module. :P

Still, I've really enjoyed it and I am very excited to see what else is in store going forward. Probably the most exciting level one module I've ever played.

I HATED IT IT WAS STOOPID

Obviously, I loved it. Great starter adventure. A few of those early encounters were on the edge of being too much (you toned down the burning skeletons encounter, right? Didn't we hear something about a campaign here on the boards that ate a TPK on those guys?), but the atmosphere was great and I enjoyed the mystery thoroughly. I'd recommend it to anybody!

Funny you should mention U1, Drancis- it's my favorite TSR module and I just started running it for my SO and one of her friends last week. Lovin' it. I actually really want to run the U series here on the boards when I wrap up one of the games I'm currently running. Be there or be square, people. And you're right, this does remind me of those great classic "small village infiltrated by some sinister evil" adventures like the Village of Hommlett and Against the Cult of the Reptile God. That's good company to be in!

I liked it, too. I do agree that some of the initial combat encounters are a bit too much for L1 PCs, but on the whole it was great!

And now that we're done with it, I can finally read my copy!
