Infernal Healing can be used by both Oozulla and Ryzztyl. It's better for out of combat healing than CLW, being 10 over the 2-9. Oozulla also has her healing hex (CLW equivalent) which can be used on each of us once/24h. I don't mind who carries the wand. It's unlikely to be used in combat.

Ryz will take one of the light crossbows so as to get a longer ranged attack. How many bolts are there?

What's on the scrolls? What's the potion? Can we figure them out?

@Oozulla: I hadn't noticed the weapon proficiency requirement for that feat. Yeah, it seems the Skald may be the best, albeit limited, choice.

Look into the Skald archetypes. Some could be interesting (although they often trade out Scribe Scroll). For example:
Spell Warrior gets improved counterspell and a +1 enhancement (or ability) on allied weapons. Of course, if only some of us have magic weapons, it could be less useful (since you need to specify whether it's the +1 enhancement which wouldn't stack or a special ability, like flaming, which won't work on the non-magic weapons).
Herald of the Horn gets an arcane bond with a horn, which will give you an extra spell per day when your charisma goes up.

Alternatively, there are other class archetypes which are interesting although they may not have as much to offer as the Skald. (e.g. Fighter Swarm Fighter (Kobold only) gains Mobility (without requiring prereqs) and it looks like Safety in Numbers which gives you a morale bonus to saves when near allies.)

I put together a loot spreadsheet. I don't know the prices on most of the stuff but figure the GM can add those in. Put the full price in the base value column the spreadsheet will take care of the only half the price for selling.

But your team will need an Apprise check to evaluate the price of those Items, or take the risk of selling them under their current price.

@Ryzztyl: Squire feat description
Thanks for Spell Warrior archetype. This one looks interesting anyways, because I could not find that you can voluntary discard my inspired rage. So better to have everyone +1 weapon, even casters, than make everyone around -2AC.

Infernal healing could be used in combat as buff, since it will save any unconscious from dying (unless he is hit in minus Con), since it will stop bleeding effects or alike. I think you should keep it, since Oozulla has her hexes.

@GM: I have read magic, but I missed by chance to prepare that for a day, because of party travel and stuff, so I will roll Spellcraft for 20+spell level to determine scrolls.
Spellcraft Scroll1: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (12) + 7 = 19
Spellcraft Scroll2: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (10) + 7 = 17
Spellcraft Scroll3: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (6) + 7 = 13

Since I don't have detect magic prepared, I will use Perception to detect potions via taste (15 + the potion's caster level):

Using Detect Magic on the scrolls rather than trying to decipher them normally, so DC should be 15+CL.

Alright, players, for your next scene what I need to know before going on is your order of climbing down. Having Yighuk as the first one, and Oozulla and her slave as the last, this leaves only 2 choices between: Szzlax as 2nd and Ryzztyl as the 3rd, or Ryzz as 2nd and Szzl as 3rd.

Agreed on Yighuk. Ryz might have been interested if it weren't tied to a specific emotional state. Ryz just doesn't care enough for that to happen all too often. It's also several levels early for him to start thinking about being effective in melee.

I came up with possible names on the human slave:
* Elbows - since human is bigger than kobold, most time he moves, his elbows are near kobolds face, so it might be fun nickname
* Munthrek - sounds like kobold, according to 3.5 Draconic dictionary it is "human"
* Ternock (short from ternocknuri) - according to 3.5 Draconic dictionary, ternocknuri could be translated as "scaleless", that nicely corresponds what he is.

About the picture, it's the official one from the AP, I have changed only a few things about this NPC, including his equipment, but that's not something of so big impact for the game.


Not an happy beginning for Yighuk. Hopefully he will got more luck on rolls in the next rounds.

As someone could foresee, this is not an encounter who is going to be so easy. This is probably going to became an epic encounter for your adventurer's career.
Crushing your enemy's leadership could be something bringing you great fame, and maybe not only fame (hint).

But don't underestimate your adversaries, they are the reason your tribe lost so many lives during the war. Now it's up to your 'scaly' hands to solve this war, and perhaps something more.

Maybe an OOC damage report could help you, I know it's hard to keep track of combat while on a PBP.

Mite 3 has suffered 3 damage from a Ryz's cantrip.
The giant tick suffered 9 damage from Szzlax.
Mite 4 and the chief never have been damaged in this fight.

To clarify about the Sacred Idol it is a bloodstained ivory statuette of what looks like a crouching reptilian horned devilish kobold.

Also, I've updated the Campaign Info with an "Extra feats and spells" section for your next level-up.

I was speaking of his remaining move action for this current round. He already jolted the enemy Mite and will continue to do so if you doesn't want him to do something else (grabbing the idol, moving to heal someone else, and so on).

Yes, Mikmek is actually cut out from a possible healing, but could be useful for some melee flanking if Yighuk or Szzlax or both of them move in position.

Feel free to discuss a possible strategy here if you wish so, this isn't an easy encounter, and Szzlax is currently under the effect of the Doom spell-like ability (shaken) and also has almost used all his rage rounds.

Strategy wise If Oozulla could heal Yighuk it would be appreciated. From there Yighuk and Szzlax can move in to try and finish off the mite before the whiptail shows up. This also puts us in position to bottleneck the creature and allow our ranged companions to attack while we keep it at the edge of the chasm.

That's Yighuks thinking at the moment anyway. We need to get Mikmek away from the chasm though.
