I believe that he is ready.

Any comments and/or questions please ask.

If I have time I will flush out the fluff.

Also iffy on the campaign trait...

Thank you.

@ Suleiman[/b]
As I have no idea how to do that, no Pathfidner society credit.

Public Service Announcement
So we're less than a week before the deadline and I've recieved 17 entries.

Wow.

If you missed my post earlier, I have decided to choose players for two tables, 4-5 each. I will tell all of you that with this many entries I'm still going to wait until the deadline before I start reading so not to bias my view towards early submissions.

Make sure all your information is correct and that if you link to a 3rd party character sheet, that the link is working. Until the deadline, feel free to modify and adjust your characters as you prefer.

Oh and those with questions about campaign traits, post 50 has detailed information on them

Oop! I forgot to say what my campaign trait is! It's Finding Haleen.

1 person marked this as a favorite.

So I'm planning a bard dervish of dawn. The missionary background is the background that fits my backstory but the bonus it gives is rather redundant for a bard. Any way we can reskin or adjust the background a little?

I actually had another idea I find more interesting: How do you feel about tieflings? Specifically Devil-spawn tieflings (found here or here).

The character would be either a former slave originating from Cheliax or the child of a former slave from Cheliax. He or his parent would have been shipped there with the idea that his infernal heritage would make him well suited for hard labor in the sun and the Chelish wanted to be rid of him.

1 person marked this as a favorite.

I have created a forlorn elf, cleric of desna, who lost her parents at Kelmarane.
I'm thinking of a distracted, contemplative, staring into the distance character who will gradually grow more confident (or withdrawn) depending on her experiences in the AP.
Her parents were starfall outcasts and she is forlorn by blood so can have a kind of love/hate interested/scared relationship with non-forlorn elves.
She has lived an itinerant life, ministering to trading caravans across the region.
See profile for crunchy bits.

I'm done! Sorry it took so long. I wanted to make sure everything was correct and in place.

And I'm sorry her background is a bit long. I try to be thorough when I do a character's background as I always try to put a lot of effort and time into each character I create.

Thank you GM for this wonderful opportunity!

Submitting my human druid Reja, Beloved of the Elements. Everything should be in her profile, including the stats for her eidolons and other relevant information about character mechanics. Thanks for the chance to apply and I'm looking forward to seeing what sort of great tables come from this recruitment :)

*edit* Campaign trait is Reclaiming Your Roots

Alem's campaign trait should be Earning Your Freedom.

1 person marked this as a favorite.

@ Seyhannah
You can flavor the bakcground if you'd like, but please not that change by the trait on your character sheet or I'll assume its the default.

@ Cuan
If you'd like to change your submission, you may do so before the deadline. Please notify me in your post of your prior character and your new one.

Tiefling is fine as a race, pretty much on the border of what I consider moderate power.

@ Shwalma
I will chew slowly, though I recommend a more devloped backstory than statements amde on this thread.

@ Josria
I don't mind a bit of reading, so long as spelling and grammer mistakes are minimal.

@ Lady Ladile
Thank you for your submission. Will note the Edit.

@ Alem
Noted, but I will tell you your link to your profile doesn't seem to work for me.

I havn't flavored anything yet without your approval. I have three traits listed due to my drawback. The Avatar is still under construction. :P Missionary is the correct trait for my backstory, I was just wondering about the bonus it gives. Maybe a similar bonus as Earning Your Freedom?

Whoops, my apologies. I'll get you in the next round of updates.

Actually my character's last name is al-Zarqa. I actually misspelled it first but it's cool.

Thanks for letting me know! I'll have that amended. I'll probably just re-format it and put it in the profile proper.

Backstory
--------------------
Hundred Steps is a Tien who was born in Kelmarane but for reasons unknown was forced to flee at a very young age. He was raised in a monastery by followers of Irori at Tar Kuata in Osirion. His knowledge of how he arrived here is very vague. He only knows what the monks told him that when he was found he was clumsily holding an armed crossbow trying to drag a man who they believe was his father up the steps leading to settlement of Tar Kuata. He would not let the monks near him or his father and each step he was able to drag his father up he counted another number. As he made the hundredth step he collapsed from exhaustion and that is when the monks took him and his father to the monastery. After examining his father the monks saw he had died of a combination severe wounds and exhaustion. It also seemed that he had travelled quite far from given the state of his clothing and the blisters and sores present on his feet.

When the boy awoke they attempted to question but he said nothing other than repeating the numbers one to one hundred. Having nothing else to call him they named Hundred Steps. Traumatized by the unknown events the child was carefully raised by the priests and monks of Tar Kuata. Through meditations and physical exercises he slowly strengthened his mind and body. As he grew older he slowly began to interact more with the others in the temple and eventually found tutelage under the priest, Jitak Uos Nimat, who soon became a father figure to him. It was on the day of the Running Moon on what the priests marked as his twenty fourth name day that Hundred Steps was given the contents of his father’s belongings. This included a crossbow of exquisite design etched with flowing dragons that ran along the tiller and bow, and an old map that had two spots highlighted on it, Tar Kuata and what Hundred Steps would later find out to be an old village named Kelmarane in Katapesh. Knowing his path before him he set out for Katapesh to uncover his past.

Everybody ready for the grand selection? :)

@ Swyhannah
For now, if your traits mostly align with Missionary, then please keep the missionary benefits. I don't mind flavoring the traits a bit, but just swapping bonuses and benefits is a no for now.

Liberty's Edge

The concept has been ready for several days, but I hadn't the time to write a good background, so I am out.
Have fun.

Tomorrow's the big day! Good luck everyone and even if I don't make it I had fun making this character! And thank you gm for this wonderful opportunity!

Agreed Josria. Good luck to all.

Agreed. This character will be applied again to something for sure if she doesn't make it. Thanks for making a second game to increase chances. I know it makes it harder on the GM.

I am sure excited to see who is selected. Applications close tomorrow...when will we know if we are chosen?

Good luck all :)

Yes, good luck everyone! :)

I am so excited! Good luck everyone!

DM Default, this week has been absolute chaos for me. I was hoping things had slowed down enough that I could get back in more games, but the last several days have proven that they haven't. Better to find out before I get in over my head, right?

So do to things still being hectic in RL I must remove "Gnasher" Red Claw from submission. Thank you DM for running the game and considering him (most DM's don't allow Gnolls). Good luck to everyone and have a good time!

Good luck to everyone.....

@ Diego & Robert
Sorry to see you guys go, but best luck in future games.

Recruitment ends today, more accurately, it ends when I wake up tomorrow morning and make the post that ends it (just to cover weird timed differences).

I will post the final entries roster tomorrow morning as well. I never imagined I'd get so many entries for this AP, but I'm glad there are people eager to play. To give everyone equal consideration, it may take up to a week before making a final choice, but as most players have great characters to read, I'm sure I'll need a good amount of time making a final decision.

Sorry to see both of you go Diego and Robert. I wish you good luck in the future and I also wish you many great and exciting adventures too!

Thank you all for your interest in this AP. If I had enough time to run games for all of you I would, but sadly one can not fill the stomach with titillating story and faux combat. I will (hopefully) have an selection for both tables done by a week's end.

If I missed anyone who has previously posted, please inform me so that I may include you for final consideration.

Hey all, its been a long few days for me, but I've narrowed down my decision to two table of 5 players each. And when I say narrowed down, I mean it. There were so many good characters I was tempted to open a third table, but I didn't want to jeopardize the quality of the individual games by overextending myself.

Thank you all for your applications, if you have any questions or curiosity on why I didn't choose your character, feel free to message me.

Would the following characters please report into the discussion thread linked under the title of their campaign please.

Table 1 - Legacy of Fire: A Journey Through the Sands
Zoisa the Magnificent
Fawziya bint Abdul-Wali
Seyhannah Kassim
Alem abd-al-Hassan
Reuleaux

Table 2 - Legacy of Fire: Under Blazing Sun
Josria al-Zarqa
Adroushan
Alayi
Reja
Haran the Wide

Thank you all for your applications, if you have any questions or curiosity on why I didn't choose your character, feel free to message me.

Good gaming to all who made it.....

Enjoy the campaign all.

Congratulations everyone who made it. And also thank you everyone who submitted! I enjoyed reading everyone's character (I'm not a gm but I do enjoy reading what others have created!)

Hooray! On my way there now! Congrats everyone!

Yay! Thank you for the invite.
