Legacy of Fire (Inactive)

Game Master mathpro18

Hello Everyone. I've been asked to take over an existing game of Legacy of Fire but it seems some of the players have disappeared(kind of expected when they had 2 DM's abandon them) so I'm looking to recruit for 2 open spots. Obviously if old players see this and are interested they'll get the spots but if not I'm opening it up to anyone.

I'm going to ultimately start the game over(they didn't get very far at all) but if you want to see the old game the Discussion thread can be found here

We currently have a cleric and paladin returning.

Character Creation:

• Races: All standard races from the Pathfinder Core Rulebook will be allowed. Any other PC race will be considered on a case by case basis. Unfortunately, due to it’s current playtesting status, no characters from the Advanced Race Guide will be allowed.
• Classes: All classes (Base and Prestige) from PFRPG core rulebook plus those from the Advanced Player's Guide (APG) and Ultimate Magic (UM) will be allowed. No base classes from Ultimate Magic (UC) will be allowed. Any Archetype for these base classes (again from the APG, UM, or UC) will be allowed.
• Alignment: Characters can be of any Good or Neutral alignment. No evil alignments will be allowed.
• Abilities: Characters will be based on the High Fantasy (20 point) buy, found in the PFRPG Core Rulebook on page 16. No ability can be raised higher than 18 (prior to racial modifiers). Only one ability may be lowered below 10 and that ability cannot be lowered below 8 (prior to racial modifiers).
• Feats: Any feat from the Core Rulebook, APG, UM, or UC will be acceptable. Any 3.5 or 3PP material you wish to use will have to be approved by me prior to acceptance.
• Traits: Character's will start with two traits, one of which MUST be from the Legacy of Fire’s Player's Guide.
• Hit Points: Characters will start out with Maximum hit points for their class at 1st level.
• Starting Gold: Characters will start with Maximum starting gold for their base class as found in the PFRPG Core Rulebook on page 140, or in the APG on page 26.

I'm going to keep this going until Friday and then make my final selections.

Hey DM Mathpro, I had an elven ranger from another game, that did not last to long. I try to base him on being an Egyptian/Persian is that okay for Legacy for Fire?

Yeah that would be okay. Be sure to check out the character creation rules to reshape him if needed.

Reporting in. My post in the original recruitment thread is here. It has a link to my character sheet and some additional background info for you in the spoiler section.

Thanks Erich.

Presenting Emilian, gladiator, slave, and property of the government assigned to Garavel, hoping to earn his freedom. He's none too bright, but he's loyal and strong, and will end up making use of the Performance Combat tricks, eventually taking the feat that lets him make any combat a Performance Combat.

I have a question, with favored enemy, the Player guide takes about vermin, undead, outsiders and elemental. I thought gnolls were a big problem in Katapesh. Which is right?

Lantern Lodge

I have two characters in mind I wouldn't mind submitting. One is a paladin/sorcerer going for dragon discible and the other is a bard dancing dervish. I would gladly step in where the party needs

I am interested. I see you don't have a Skill Monkey yet, and since Merisiel is part of the Legacy of Fire Iconics, I'm guessing you guys might need one.

Iskandariel Al-Faraj:

Arcane-Trained Half-Elf
Bard (Archaeologist) 1
Str16/Dex13/Con12/Int14/Wis10/Cha14
Traits: Duskwalker Agent/Finding Haleen
Feats: Lingering Performance, Skill Focus: Disable Device
Skills: Acrobatics +5, Bluff +6, Disable Device +5, Intimidate +6, Knowledge (Local) +7, Knowledge (Nature) +7, Knowledge (Everything Else) +3, Perception +6, Spellcraft +6, Stealth +5, Use Magic Device +6
Armor Check Penalty: +2
Melee: Longsword +3 (1d8+3, 19-20/x2)
Ranged: Shortbow +1 (1d6, x3)
HP: 9
AC: 16, T: 15, FF: 11 (+4 Armor, +1 Shield, +1 Dex)
Fort: +1, Ref: +3, Will: +2; +2 against enchantment
Spell DCs: 0 (12), 1st (13)
Immune to magical sleep effects
Archaeologist's Luck 6/day
Gear: Longsword, Shortbow, 20 Arrows, Mwk Chain Shirt, Buckler, Backpack, Clay Jug, Grappling Hook, Bullseye Lantern, 5 Oil, Silk Rope, Thieves' Tools, 2 Alchemist's Fire, 3gp, 1sp, 2cp

I still have to write his backstory, but it's basically based on his two traits.

Liberty's Edge

Hey DM mathpro, I just saw that you are taking up the LoF game. I'm still are and if you want Marossa around again, let me know.

Silver Crusade

Presenting my Society-gen oracle, really designed to be a backup caster/melee, but with a cleric and a paladin, I think the religious aspect could be VERY interesting, as he is a possessed oracle. (possessed by an angel of war and a demon of destruction, specifics up to GM)
Could easily change specifics to fit campaign.

Have not played PBP. Follow several. Can post every day, many days more than once. Never played LoF.

Presenting Irizad Razham, Human Cavalier (Emissary, Beast Rider)

Crunch in profile. Going for the "Finding Haleen" campaign trait. Very excited about this campaign. I post every day.

background:
His earliest memory was of Haleen; she is his best friend. Irizad Razham did not have an easy childhood. He knows nothing of his family - his earliest memories are of his times as a homeless urchin, begging for bread. Haleen was an older girl, and she watched out for Irizad when he was too small to watch out for himself. As they grew older, they were inseperable, and they depended on each other constantly.

Eventually, Haleen was old enough to seek real employment, and the two of them scraped together enough money to share a small room, no more than a shack really. When Irizad was old enough, Haleen helped clean him up, and managed to find him a job as a porter in a noble's estate.

He worked hard and earned his employers trust, and eventually they trained Irizad as a guard. He split his time between working for his patron and being part of the squad of guards his patron had to supply for part time city watch duty.

His career going well, Irizad was able to move Haleen and himself into a decent residence in a working class neighborhood; things seemed to be going great, until the day he came home to find Haleen's note, and her gone.

lol. there should be a LoF where everyone takes Finding Haleen. Everyone would be siblings.

All halflings? :P

Anyway, multiple finding haleen players are supposed to be fine, if more than one gets picked we can just adapt our back stories appropriately.

True. and the Player's guide never said anything against adopted siblings.

The Exchange

Kiradia, I believe Mathpro is giving those of us that were in the original game the benefit of first choice. If Badi and Mujahid do not respond by Friday then he will look to replace them. So if you still want to play Marossa, then you're in.

Hmm... 2 slots left with original game first choice. I think I'll wait till the DM comes back before I make my alias.

Here is Mentu, I changed him from being elven to being half-elf.

Backstory:

Mentu was born to a unique family. His mother was from a Keleshite and Vudrani stock. Her father and mother both having been explores when they were young than decided to become merchants when his mother was still a baby. His father was an elf swordsman from Varisia. This lead Mentu have knowledge of a few cultures and to help him understand different people. He would always have fond memories of this family.

His lived near Finderplain. In the savannah by his home learned tracking from his grandmother, archery from his grandfather and swordsmanship from his father. This went on for years until gnolls attacked the area. Mentu and his fought back with everyone else, they finally pushed back the gnolls but at a trouble price. His grandfather and father had been killed by the gnolls. After burying them he swore he would not let this happen again. He than spent years training himself to better hunt and fight against gnolls. He heard of Garavel and how he wanted to take Kelmarane back, packing up his things Mentu left to stop the gnolls.

DM Mathpro:

Here is a rough outline. I made him into a switch hitter, I can change him into either a full two-handed or archery if I get picked and preference/make up of the party.

If I remember right(could be way off) Gnolls are also going to be a problem early on.

I should probably get to rereading this AP since I'm supposed to start running it lol.

I would be more than happy to have Marossa back with us.

We now have 3 returning players but I am going to keep 2 possible slots open for this.

Keep the great idea's coming guys.

Shadow Lodge

Dotting for interest. I have a monk of many styles / paladin that i would like to submit. I am twinking with the alias and will have it ready tonight.

Mathpro, thanks for taking over this game for me. Hopefully the third time (or DM) is the charm.

I know you're opening a new thread for your game, are you all set with the old one? If so, I'm going to shut it down as Inactive to get it off people's lists.

Liberty's Edge

Expressing interest. Not sure where to fit myself in yet. Alchemist maybe? Something either with boom or skill.

DM Mathpro, sorry if I'm stepping on any toes.

Here's what we've got for the party so far and their roles (as I see it).
Nasir ibn Al'Said-Paladin of Sarenrae (Primary: Melee, Secondary: Divine)
Beatrix-Cleric of Sanerae (Primary: Divine, Secondary: Melee)
Marossa-Bard (Primary: Skill, Secondary: Arcane)
With appologies to Erich and Kiradia
It looks like (again, to me) that we could use a Primary Arcane caster and maybe another Primary: Melee character.

I would love to play a Magus for this campaign. Can have something up soon.

This is Merck and here is my Monk/Paladin character that i would like to submit for this campaign.

DM:
As a first level character he is just a monk but next level I will pick up my first Paladin level. He is designed to become a meat shield / striker and would fill the role of a primary melee character.

DM Mathpro, do you think a Samurai could find a place into this adventure path at all? While not necesarily a native Tian, but the class with a background to support it?

Sovereign Court

Could play my character Shrike, primarily melee, barbarian... would fit quite well.

my audition: Iskandariel Acaciahunter. link

I'm pretty sure I'm done with the old thread so go ahead and set it to inactive.

Not a problem Vanulf. I thank you for all your help.

I don't really see it fitting well into this setting actually. Sorry.

Pathfinder Starfinder Roleplaying Game Subscriber

I'd love to bring a CN Elf Witch to the game.

Str 9, Dex 15, Con 11, Int 19, Wis 10, Cha 12
Patron: Time
Familiar: Raven
Standard Elf racials
Feats: Extra Hex: Cauldron
Hexes: Misfortune, Cauldron
Traits: Poverty-Stricken, ??

Skills: Appraise +7, Craft (alchemy) +12, Knowledge (arcana, history, nature) +8, Survival +5, Use Magic Device +5

Spells: Lv 1: Charm Person, Cause Fear, Cure Light Wounds, Obscuring Mist, Mount, Sleep, Mage Armor

I'd love to replace a Legacy of Fire trait with something else. I imagine this guy as an outsider who lived in the wilderness most of his life, rarely interacting with the city except to sell alchemy stuff and potions. But, none of the LoF traits really fit that mold. Let me know if you are interested in this guy, and if so I'll flush him out a bit more with some backstory and equipment.

Hm, Mathpro, based on what you know about my character, would it be too much to ask to play an Aasimar?

No that would be fine Erich.

Okay this thread is offically closed. I'll get my choices posted up in a few minutes.

Okay I've made my choice. Iskandariel Acaciahunter and Sanket will be joining Nasir ibn Al'Said, Beatrix, and Marossa. I'll get a discussion page up today and will probably wait until tomorrow to get a game thread up(have to get home and clean up for my gaming group tonight).

WOOOO!
