Achievement feats are feats you get from acoplishing certain task in an AP e.g. a legacy of fire Achiev feat is All Gnolls Must Die Requirement: Deliver the killing blow to 20 gnolls, hyenas, dire hyenas, werehyenas, jackalweres, or minions of the Mother of Evil. Benefit: As long as you carry some sort of trophy harvested from a gnoll (a necklace of ears, a set of teeth, a magic weapon taken from a chieftain, etc.), you gain a +2 morale bonus on all Will saves. You also gain a +2 competence bonus on attack rolls and weapon damage rolls against gnolls, hyenas, dire hyenas, werehyenas, jackalweres, and minions of the Mother of Evil. you can find all about Legacy of fire Achievment feats at http://www.purpleduckgames.com/pfc2g

Healer’s Touch [Achievement]--Cure a cumulative total of 1,000 points of damage for other creatures using healing spells. Dealing damage slows progress toward this goal achievement; for every 1 point of damage you deal to another creature, reduce your cumulative healing total by 2.
If someone channels energy do they add up the hp for every creature healed or does it only count once. I am assuming it is only once, but someone is going to ask.
I will look through the guide, and come back with a concept tonight or tomorrow.

I am interested, Wareagle. I do have two questions for you though!
Wareagle:
Also, I generally use PFSRD when creating online as the literature is well-ordered and quick to access. However, UM spells are often on the spell lists with the rest of the spells. Are these spells a problem?

Havok Brinestone does not remember much of his young life before he was captured, except that there was always talk of robbing and killing other humanoids. He never got to take a part in any of this, as he was taken prisoner at the young age of 12 by a group of adventures and then sold into slavery in the Mwangi Expanse. Over the years he began to notice that even though he never liked the idea of being a slave that the way the "civlilized" races lived thier life was better than things were at home. They were so much better that he did not want to really go back home. Being a part of a raiding party and dying was not a bright future to look forward too.
His master, Liam, was not an adventurer anymore, but he did like to travel the world. Eventually he ended up in katapesh. During what should have been a rather eventless trip a cry for help was heard, and before Havok could be stopped he was intervening in a robbery. The men set upon the hobgoblin allowing the victim, a young lady named Cassandra to escape. The guards arrived and managed to pull the two men off of Havok, before any real damage could be done. Rather than being rewarded with even a thank you the guards were about to throw him out of the city. Liam objected so he was given a choice to have the city punish the hobgoblin with 10 lashes or pay a 500gp fine. Not wanting had to pay a fee for not keeping a "dirty hobgoblin" under control Liam opted to not pay. After about the 5th lashing a lady came up and offered to pay the fine. Havok had never been so happy in his life. Immediately after he was untied Liam was approached by the lady that paid the fee. Havok could not hear the conversation, but it appeared to be intense. Eventually Havok was called over and offered a choice to stay with the woman as a bodyguard or continue to with Liam. After Liam left him to take a beating that would not have hurt Liam's pockets at all the answer was easy.
Havok was taken to the lady's house where he saw the young lady he saved earlier a 12 year old named Mikara. She was the younger sister of Haleen the woman who saved him from the beating. After much questioning she found out he was never indoctrinated by his hobgoblin tribe, which is why he was more civilized than most. Havok would spend time at the local temples when he was not guarding Mikara, and while he got strange looks and often had to be escorted at first, people started to get used to him being around, sort of. In any event he became very religious beleiving that city life is not as good for people as nature is, since it makes things too easy and corruptes people.
while Haleen chose to be an adventurer Mikara was more laid back, and left once she reached the age of 18 to pursue things of an academic nature. This often left Havok at the house alone to fill his time studying and communing with Sarenrae when Haleen was adventuring. One day he after such a meditation he had a strong urge to start walking. He kept walking and walking, and suddenly he realized he was at least 10 miles outside of the city.
Serenrae then spoke to him letting him know that the journey back would test him physically. He figured he was in good enough shape to walk back so he figured he had an easy victory for lack of a better word. He was not paying attention, and he was ambushed by a giant scorpion. He tried to run, but the creatures claws tripped him up. he tried to fight it, but came close to being stung several times, and he knew his luck would run out. Instinctly, after his muscles were worn out he somehow knew he only needed to command the creature to stop its attacks, and stangely enough it did. The creature bowed to him submissively and he knew he had been blessed with power over nature, he had become a druid. He later made a dwelling sligtly outside of the city since, and he planned to leave the creature there, but she told him to take it with him. When he arrived several of her priest were ther to welcome him. Haleen came home shortly after that, and she was glad he found his path, but there was still a hint of worry in her voice for some reason. Shortly thereafter they talked less and less and one day she disappeared.
I want to make him human sized instead of 5'4. I don't really care for small(compared to 3.5's) hobgoblin. Is that ok? I will have mechanics up within the hour most likely, and a physical description pending your approval of the height waiver.

Definately Putting My hand up.
Not sure about the area so will have to buy the Legacy of Fire players guide if I make it into the group.
Checking the Traits database- Finding Halleen looks overpowered. Is it allowed?
"
The class you chose at 1st level is always a favored class to you, and your dedication to it is such that every time you take a level in the class, you gain +1 hit point and 1 additional skill point over and above what you would normally gain. If multiple PCs take this trait, they should be siblings who were both protected and raised by Haleen."
A must have feat for any Melee char...

You do have a point. It is really good, but I do like the story. If the GM wants me to choose one or the other that is ok.

This is the hobgoblin druid, H'vok.
I need to find another avatar, and a name for the animal companion, but it is game ready as far as mechanics go.
PS:This is Mr.Swagger
edit:The scorpion is from ultimate magic. Let me know if it needs to be changed. I found it online, I was not paying attention to the source.

I am wishing to put forth a rogue, but I am wishing to use some of the rogue talents and archetype/s from the Ultimate Combat book. If you wish I can put forth the specifics, but otherwise I was wanting to know if your okay with that and if your totally opposed to guns in your campaign. I can do without them, I was just wanting to know.

It does not give much info with regards to what skills should be picked up like the newer guides do, and since it is a 3.5 module which archetypes to choose won't be in it either. There is a book on kapatesh(?) if you want region info, but it is closer to about 15.00.
There is also the Pathfinder Kapatesh the nation and kapatesh the city.
Joshua Hirtz |
Alright, well I'm currently envisioning a rogue that has forgone the ability to search for magical traps and instead has specialized in stealing items and dagger play. I hope you don't mind, but I will likely have to get you my character in full detail later today as my bed is calling to me.
STR Ranger |
I'll throw my Hand in for a Barbarian.
Name: Calain Heartstriker
Build: Invulnerable Rager
Race: Human (Heart of the fields- 1/day ignores fatigue or exhaustion)
Alignment: Chaotic Good
Ability Scores:
STR 18
DEX 14
CON 15
INT 12
WIS 10
CHA 7
Favored Class:
Human= 5 skill points per level, Favored Bonus: 2 to skills, 18 to Superstition
2 traits- Finding Haleen (+1 HP and Skill Point when take a Barbarian Level)
Missing Sibling (sense motive and diplomacy are class skills)
Backstory:
*This will be modified slightly once I purchase the LOF players guide and get some more background info.*
Calain remembers Little of His sister, Shayley. But he needs to find her. The Shoanti children were sold into slavery so young that Calain's memories begin under the lash at a Ludas (gladiator school). He remembers an unfortunate escape attempt. Shayley stole a key and they tried to run, but their flight did not last long. He still bears the deep scars along his back for his foolishness and Pretty Shayley was sold on in the Katapesh markets as a pleasure slave. He has not seen her since.
Then Haleen saved him. Somehow this woman had seen something in him and secured his freedom. 'It is wrong to cage a Lion' She told him. Living with her and earning a real LIVING for a change, instead of merely existing taught him to dream again. He asked for her help to find his sister, the only other family he ever had. Then she disappeared.
Now having lost both the women who had meant anything to him, he has been driven over the edge. He would find them. Even if every slaver in Katapesh had to die to make it happen...
*I'd like to request Ultimate Combat be allowed,
specifically the following feats/rage powers:
Spell Sunder (power)
Eater of Magic (power)
Raging Brutality (feat)
Here is the Character build I'm wanting to try. This is only an outline and may change but I'm going for a Lightly armored Rager who can take it to the face and hates spellcasters (his master was a wizard/lanister who used magic on his slaves often)
1.Fast Movement, Rage, Power Attack, Raging Vitality
2.DR1/-, Lesser Beast Totem
3.Extreme Endurance, Improved Sunder
4.DR2/-, Strength Surge
5.Extra Rage Power: Superstition

Here is a Paladin of Sarenrae I played in a LoF campaign that went bust.
Nasir ibn Al'Said
Since this was originally a 3.5 Adventure Path the old GM agreed to allow me to use the 3.5 feat Oversized Two Weapon Fighting so I could realize my vision of a dual scimitar weilding paladin. You have my assurance that that will be the only weapon that he dual wields. NO dual wielding Greatswords or anything like that nonsense. I would appreciate it if I could keep the feat just to keep the flavor of the character.
Nasir ibn Al'Said |
Cool, working on it now.
Born to a priestess of Sarenrae and a Paladin of the temple in Katapesh, Nasir grew up in the faith of the Dawnflower. At the age of 16 he joined the temple guards and quickly excelled at his studies mastering an art few before him had ever done, the dual wielding of scimitars (the goddesses favorite weapon). Now he has been selected by the high priest of the temple to join an expedition to reclaim and village and restore the temple to Sarenrae within and an old abandoned monastery nearby.
More to come as I get a chance to work on it.
Joshua Hirtz |
I'm working up my character now. Got the basic class run down, just figuring out his race and how it will fit in with the campaign. Currently I would ask if you allow the race guides of Golarion.
Joshua Hirtz |
His class will likely consist of Rogue with the archetypes Bandit and Knife Master.
That is if you'll allow such.
Joshua Hirtz |
That or I was thinking he might be a peddler of Pesh.
H'vok Brinestone |
Alfred either your stats are off or mine or off since we have the same class with the same animal companion.
By my estimation and herolabs the scorpion should only have one trick.
Your scorpion also has a +6 to attack, but it should only have a +1
As an animal it has the medium BAB progression. 2 HD give it a BAB of +1.
The strength is only 11.

Seeing as how I don't see any arcane users presented yet, I will submit a different concept. I had not realized that the other druid was that close to mine. Instead of Alfred, I think I will go with
Samuel Windwalker
elven witch
traits: forlorn and seeking adventure
feat: breadth of experience
background: Born and raised by gypsies, Samuel has never known the settled life, and it was not surprising to those who knew him that he eventually found himself in Absalom training to become a Pathfinder. His training recently completed, his first orders were to go to Katapesh and aid the Society in their efforts their. Accordingly he found himself in Solku when Garavel raised the call for assistance, and the opportunity to explore the mysteries of Kelmarane and it's surrounding ruins is too good to pass up.
Further details to come.
