Law And Disorder: City of Twilight
(Inactive) Game Master
Jib916
The city of Westcrown is dying. A city best by criminals, a corrupt nobility, and a shadowy curse, Will you fight back against champions of both the law and the criminal world to bring Westcrown back to its glory?
No problem, One thing that would make it easier for me , would be to post only your actions in between combat rounds, all other strategy/power gaming talk can be posted in Discussion forum. This has worked well to speed up the combat in the other games.
Molino (Morosino?) will still cowr in his turn, but...
Id like to remind everybody how i need everybody to post for combat, for this group is falling behind:
Post all actions in spoilers: (Ronwn/Quention) In fact, i would prefer everything in spoilers (speech, etc) to make it for a cleaner summary/game thread.
Please post asap, Do not wait for other players to post their actions before you post yours, for I feel this slows down game time drastically. Post when your action as soon as you have time. If you are not sure what your character will do or there actions are dependent on other pcs , feel free to give me options.
This way of handling combat has worked great for my other groups, and quite frankly, is the only way I intend to run my PBP games. I am having fun with this group and there is interesting character interactions, so i would hate to cancel it.
HP 13/13, AC 17, CMD 14, Fort +4, Ref +6, Will +3, Init +4, Perception +6
I personally hate the spoilers. Makes it hard to see what the other people are doing without clicking a bunch and it also makes it more work to write our own posts. I totally understand posting your action right away. Part of the reason this group is behind might be that you missed Ronwyn's post for several days ~_~.
That being said, if it's going to mean cancelling the game I will start to spoiler my actions.

Unfortunately, crossbows aren't necessary to take to a dinner engagement. And it seems uncouth to throw raw sewage at goblins! So I suppose our beaters can handle these creepy things.
Remember, the Hellkinights are the ones that have been chasing you in the sewers, not The Dottari, are the town guards, they captured Arael in the beginning and, have not been chasing the party, or know anything of the encounter at the tavern and the sewers. They are two separate groups.

I thought it was the town guard who came after us in the beginning. My mistake. I was still confused I think about who is who and has what authority (the player's guide doesn't spell it out well.)

Ronwn, since you come after me in the initiative, I believe your sling Attack and Damage would have the benefit of the +1 Attack and Damage from the Bard Song. Which, provided they have an AC of 5, should be adequate.
Forgive me for reminding everyone of these things, but such has always been the role of the bard player. I've played enough of them to know that I'm responsible for making sure my benefit for the party is being utilized! :)

Hey, Killy, your Bladed Smile was +5 to hit and +1 to damage (for a total of 6 on the damage). Sorry, just doing my job! The +1 damage matters a lot at first level.

Have you got a 'dry clean this quick' ballad in there somewhere? I think Ronwn's about to have an urgent need for a long, long soak in a hot tub. Hrmm... on second thought, it might need to be a dirge for my clothes. Or maybe a Requiem...

I thought as much, but either way, it made me think of that classic film ending. So much so that I thought it might have been your inspiration when it came to weaponizing a trap.
Nope, never seen it. I just came across the bear trap stats and thought "That would make a darn good weapon to just hit people with at low levels", and a while later made this character and realized it fit his warped sense of humor.

Good choice. It is one of the few films that I'll call a film instead of a movie. Straw Dogs does have a remake that was released last year, and while many remakes are less sterling than the original, that was not the case with this remake. They maintained the same story and theme, but effectively heightened the tension and updated the setting a bit to communicate better with a contemporary audience.
The trap rules state anyone in the same square as the trap triggers it and takes the effect. (In this case, an attack with a +10 bonus). I'm basically just putting it in the same square as them, in a rather cartoony way that will hopefully result in uncartoony violence.
I could have just slid it under his feet, but I figured a touch attack was funnier and more realistic.
Sorry to slow things down. I realize this is pretty unorthodox.
I would like to thank you all for playinh, but unfortenuly I have bit off more then I could chew and im going to have to cancel the game. :( I may have a couple slots in the other game. Pvt msg me if interested
Yeah unfortunately the repetition has made it more of a chore then fun. =(
I will change the game to inactive in about 24 hours.
Also, You all have been great players, If i start another PBP in the future, I will msg all of you first and give you priority in the recruitment section.

Agreed. As far as slots in other games, they already have bards so I would be redundant. Moreso, though, I think this character doesn't work as well separated from the Scarlet Pimpernel and Batman and the Fen Witch, for whom he could tailor extrvagant masked hero costumes and elegant dresswear. :)
