Ok is anyone helping Marie move the statue? Gryff is near the door, 50ft from the statue,everyone else is about 30 ft from the statue sporadically about the room? Arasmes trying to stay away from anything healing related will be about 10 ft from statue.

With Taltōsh's help the statue moves aside with a slow grating sound... you can see behind it is a small doorway cut into the wall. Marie gestures to the door, "In here! Hurry!"

Worried that this may be a trap, but unable to remove the zombies Adriel runs down and hopes they aren't running into more danger.

Big Gryfford is the last to move towards the hidden door.

If there's still time until the zombies invade the room, he tries to put the statue back in place to mask the door.

Strenght check: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (7) + 5 = 12

If there's no time, he passes through the hidden door, squeezing himself a little because of his height, and closes it behind him.

Taltōsh cast a spell summoning four balls of light to illuminate the way for the group.

"Is everyone here?" he asked.

As you get inside you manage to get the door nearly closed when suddenly a zombified arm sticks through trying to swipe at you. I need another strength or some check to get it fully closed.

Those farther back in the tunnel find that it goes about 50 ft and sharply turns left. It continues on 30ft to another dead end with a door on the left and a hallway on the right. Marie rushes to the door and disappears into the small room, "Hold on I need to grab some things!"

Elorin folows the young woman to ensure she does not flee and leave them in a trap. " I said where are you taking us woman?"

Alexia is going to take time to survey the new passageway they are in. Glancing back at the door wondering if it will hold.


The door slams shut and the zombified arm falls limp on the ground. Only the few magical lights offer any aid in the darkness. You hear muffled pounding coming from the door behind you and it seems that you have no idea how long it would take them to break through.

Marie hears Elorin's question and responds hastily, "I need to grab some supplies. What in Angradd's name are those creatures out there?" Her voice is strained and you can tell she is genuinely frightened. She picks up several small bags that appear to be filled with coins and loops them to her belt. She grabs a satchel and puts in a large metal bowl and a small vase of some sort and then ties it all together.

She exits the room and gestures for you to follow. "Come on there's a way out!"

Elorin nodds his head and follows the woman, his bow held before him with an arrow notched.

Taltōsh directed his dancing lights to form into a twenty-foot-long line, illuminating as much of the passage as possible.

He then followed the woman.

Gryfford looks at the light flowing from his armor:

"I didn't know I was in so bright a mood !" he jokes, his voice deep but a little strained.

"What do you think, o my thaumaturgical friends ?" Big Gryfford asks Adriel, Arasmes and Taltōsh:
"Is it our fault that those rotten abominations penetrated this temple ? It seemed to do fine until we arrived..."

Turning to the aasimar woman, Gryfford says:
"Alexia, you seem the outdoorsy type to me. I'm sure we'll need your talents in case those horrors outside decide to chase us through the countryside. Not that they seemed too bright or too fast, though... but I am worried about their master - or masters."

"I fear that we are responsible for the zombies' presence," replied Taltōsh as they followed the woman.

"However, these creatures are directed by someone, so it seems that we were either observed entering the temple, or we triggered some sort of alarm."

"What were we suppose to come for and I thought a temple would be consecrated, shouldn't that ward them off a bit?" She mutters, shuffling to the head of the group with her bow in hand. "I don't know how long the door will hold so if you could watch the rear Gryff, that would be helpful."

Whatever happened it seems we are in over our heads at this present time. Either the.vampire or his minions are beyond us, so far as direct confrontation goes. We shall have to annoy their plans until we can per sue more hostile actions


Marie looks back, We have no alarms to be triggered. The wards above waned long ago. We had yet to put them back in place." She darts down the long hallway and you can see at the far end the glow of daylight approaching.

Angus looks to Adriel, "I don't know if there was anything of value back there. I just know that this is where we stayed, and hoped there might be more information." He lowers his head and keeps moving forward.

note initiative is still technically active. You can only move your speed.

"It seems the night has not fallen yet" Big Gryfford remarks while hasarding a glance towards the end of the tunnel.

"Perhaps we are somewhat lucky, after all."

"Perhaps - or perhaps we are being herded into lightless cavern where the Haemovore waits for us. That would be fairly standard - if predictable - behaviour."

Arasmes seems much more cheerful now, but he surreptitiously checks his weapons.

Taltōsh chuckled in response, glad that his remark drained away some of Arasmes' tension.

Alexia advances down the hall towards the light with her bow ready. "A large number of undead dislike daylight... unfortunately for us... zombies are not among that number... I think so just because we get outside doesn't mean we are safe yet... though to be fair I suppose dislike doesn't mean they won't come out during the daytime either."

Any advantage should be taken, if only the light and outdoors will present us with a new area to make a stand or flee


As you draw closer to the exit you feel the gentle breeze and the warmth of the sun.

Yes, we are definitely going outside. Gryfford will be the last to exit the tunnel, though, because he is at the rear-guard of the group.

You step out of the tunnel into the dwindling light of early evening. The area you come out in is part of the forest you passed by on the way to the temple. The main road you came in on is to your right through 50-60ft of trees. To your left is more forest for who knows how far.

Who wants to give me a perception check.

Taltōsh only gave the area a cursory glance, as he was more interested in whether or not they were being pursued from within.

The light is still fairly prevalent, however you all can notice that there is a dark area on the horizon behind you(The direction of the temple). Those of you who have particularly good senses can see that there is a clear spot that is darker than the rest of it.

And as he says so, he shrinks, losing mass and size until he's his usual self again.

"Hu ho !"

"I would say: away !" Gryfford answers Alexia.

"Our enemy awaits us at the temple, and he seems to overnumber and owerpower us at the moment. We could try to go back to Sandpoint and to the temple of Erastil, if we manage to shake him from our trail."

"Or we could run to another temple or to a sacred place, if there's one nearer than Mac Darrow's temple."
