Uff! I'm done with my PC's crunch. Now on with the cohort.

does the cohort gets 3 traits and a drawback?

As cool as this sound I realize I don't have enough experience to construct a character of this level since I have never played a character of this level. I look forward to reading all the submissions and the game when you finally start playing.

Changing my plans around a bit for my Oracle. Considering the setting, I going to try a Loki build. Illusions. Trickery. That sort of thing.

Indeed, it's an involved process. But the character crunch is finally done, next on to the cohort and fluff! I'm glad you gave us until Thursday so I'm not having to just slap stuff together.

For the record: my plan is this...

PC: Krovax Draverian, Necromancer Cleric, descendant of the outcast Linnorm King that ruled what is now Irrisen. He has turned to dark energies upon finding an intelligent blade that has overcome his celestial heritage and drew him into a more sinister path of domination. (Mixture of Arthas and Lord Soth inspiration)

Cohort: Beautiful daughter of a landholder. Her father opposed Krovax's requests for her hand in marriage, which both he and the daughter were upset about. Once Krovax fell under the blades power, he grew in power and eventually killed the father and claimed his keep as his own. The daughter, at first horrified, still had feelings for him and eventually realized she could still love him, and soon gained a much of a desire to rule the lands as her husband.

Mount: Juju zombie silver dragon that attempted to destroy the villain it had learned of, but failed and instead became his most powerful minion.

Personality: Krovax still, despite the sword's influence, has a pleasant attitude and is fair to those who serve him. Those who oppose him, however, have this far been defeated and forced to serve him as undead minions. He does not tolerate cruelty towards civilians from his subjects, and dolesout what has so far been determined fair and just punishments for crimes. (True villainy is the kind that can make people love them, IMO).

Sure...

The personality sounds like an undead Ghengis Khan. I like it.

So...tired...been working on this since I got home. Hardcore style. On an iPad.

It's still in progress, but wanted you to be able to see the Dragon.

Basically took Old Silver Dragon off of d20pfsrd.com and then added the Juju Zombie template. If you see anything that needs altered or,removed lemme know.

PS: we shoulda spread our game recruitments apart a bit, eh? Hahaha

For now I'll let the dragon fly, but you'll have to explain to me how you managed to kill it later in recruitment. I'm assuming you just took the oldest dragon who wouldn't exceed your HD limit. However, it's not necessarily clear that you could have defeated such a foe in battle in the first place to get access to its corpse. Maybe that was your sixth mythic trial.

Oh I'll have a very long and proper write up for it, just working on crunch ATM.

Understood. (^_^)

Do you realize how hard it has been to build a level 12/mythic 6, his 21HD dragon mount, and begin a level 10 cohort all on a $&*% tablet? Lol

I can imagine. I don't even like doing basic posts on my tablet.

Props, Krovax. I hate tablets, they never work for me. It's been work enough on my laptop, so I give you strong credentials for working a tablet approach.

Funny enough, as you said before Loup Blanc, "Great minds think alike." I turned towards a Skald as a cohort as well.

Skalds are a great cohort, fitting for the setting, useful. Especially for a barbarian. Essentially extra rage rounds when I run out of my own, which is nice.

They make a great cohort for a Bloodrager as well. They mesh rather well.

Dotting with interest, and working on (why not put in some main-character love, eh?) a skald!

Out of curiosity, DM Jelani, how do you feel about a story feat drawn from the character's background? Specifically, I'd like to use Arisen.

You can certainly take a story feat but you'll need to use a feat slot on it.

How is HP calculated?

Already answered. Read the thread.

Woops. That's what I get for staying up so late. Awesome, will finish working on the character now then.

Alright, my character is done... Sort of. I'm going to be bringing him over to this site and the format you want soon. It was just much easier for me to do it on mythweavers first, since that's the format I'm so used too. If you want a preview feel free to check him out, but do know that I'm still working on what I want him too look like and looking for a cool picture of him. Oh, and a name. He definitely needs a name. Fighter

Mechanically speaking, he's a Fighter gone Dragon Disciple. This guy, at least compared to other high levels I've made in the past, is just a little scary. Mixed with the Guardian Mythic Path he's hard to even scratch, and what he can swing back... He's fricking awesome. Already got ideas for his story too but I won't get too much into that just yet.

I do apologize for my question by the way. Skipped right over the answer when I read through the thread checking out the competition.

I'm waiting until I see final products to really give any sort of in depth look or feedback. That goes for everyone (in case Loup was wondering about my silence). We've still got several days left in recruitment, so there's no rush.

-nods- I figured as much. Just put him up there in case you got curious. Working on his cohort now, whose going to be a straight wizard character. XD

OK, I should finally be done.

The concept is as follows: a foundling, whose parents stumbled upon at the foot of the Gnarlfang (Eysteinn Jokullson means “a lucky rock from the glacier”). Shows immediately a great deal of understanding of the land, and grows up to become a true avatar of the Land of the Linnorm Kings (as a druid, he is linked to elementals and terrain stuff rather than animals or plants). His cohort is a former Fey Queen, who became a scourge of the Ulfen people when Nithveil apperared too close to Irrisen and the feys became corrupted with the winter powers of Baba Yaga. Eysteinn defeated her, showed her the suffering the Ulfen people went through due to her actions, and she accepted to be reincarnated into an Ulfen maiden (keeping most of her powers) to follow him and help repair the damage done (I figured a reincarnation where the caster gets to guide the soul into a body of his choice, instead of rolling randomly, is a suitable one-shot use of Mythic Power).

Please note that the current avatar sucks. I made a portrait with Heromachine linked in Appearance section, but for some reason can't find a blond ulfen man with a stony demeanor in the plethora of avatars here on Paizo's site. I'll keep looking if selected.

Cohort sheet
** spoiler omitted **...

That format is mainly fine. I would prefer that you break all the stuff you have uder SQ out into its own section and either copy paste the text or link to each ability for ease of reference. He has interesting crunch. Could you provide a spoiler with the changes to his stats in earth elemental/air elemental form?

Ashren Bloodsworn is finally set up on the format you want. His cohort and her familiar will follow shortly, as will a link to images for all three of them.

Alright, Eladria is now added to his sheet, just below Ashren. All that's left is her familiar and I'm done.... I should have gone with the bonded item. XD Reference pics for both characters are in the appropriate spot.

And now I pass out! Spot is on the sheet, so unless I missed something the mechanics of Ashren, his cohort Eladria and her familiar should be all done!

Mechanically, Eladria is a non-combatant... sort of. She has no evocation and at this point no debuffs. She focuses on buffing the big guy and dropping massive, horrid, destructive creatures or spells in the middle of enemies that tend to do little damage but really screw with them. A Conjurer who actually doesn't summon that much (though I did take Augment Summoning for the few times she would because its that worth it XD), she tends to turn invisible before doing anything else, and if she has it her way shes invisible for an entire fight using her ridiculous stealth skills to make it even less likely to be spotted. That and overland flight. XD

I do have an idea for a story for her as well as Ashren, how they met, and even how Eladria met Spot, her Silvanshee familiar. But I shall hold off on them until the next round, if I get that far.

Looks good. Only thing I noticed was that you don't have your sorceror spell slots per day listed along with your spells known.

Well, I was just about done with crunch, and then my two year old got a hold of my computer. I don't know if I can finish this in time. It sounds really fun, but I think I've got to drop out.

Ouch, sorry to hear that.

And I just noticed the fact that I need to do a description and personality. XD Back to the editing box.

Okay, -now- I should be done. Ashren, Eladria and Spot all of have Personalities, Descriptions and reference pictures! Also edited Ashren a little. Gave him a stealth trait and some points in stealth.

Jelani, its just cruch by thursday right? You will select the ones you want ot see wright the background?

Yeah, if you show you can follow directions and create a competent 12th level character I’ll likely advance you to the next round for the first segment of the background stuff. There may be a build that’s just not appealing to me or something and I wouldn’t want to waste more of the persons time with having them write a background.

Makes sense, cool I have tons of ideas flowing for this guy. I have been thinking about the background a lot when building and when he came to gain things and how it interacts with the build.

Ok, I linked everything to d20pfsrd, corrected a couple of mistakes, and added (so far) Huge Air Elemental form and Dire Tiger form.

Will hopefully have completed submission posted tonight.

~67 hours left to submit!

I'll make a completed application list as we get a little closer.

DM Jelani, do you have any issues with playing a woman? I kind of enjoy the concept of his cohort Skald being the pushing force behind him. While he is not the most motivated of people, she keeps him moving when he would otherwise stop.

Nope, I can play a woman. I don't know how good at it I am, but I try.

Posting in to let you know I'm still very much here. I've just had a cold and am struggling to get a good skald build together. I worry he'll die too easily.

Could happen. But you're the mythic hero, not them. They just like carry your stuff and get you coffee.

Should this two person party be built to handle every situation? As I mentioned earlier, I have my Oracle more or less sorted out. It's the cohort I need ideas for.

yep still here as well, Wife leaving town today for a couple days so will finish build for sure today or tomorrow.

Two quick questions.

1. Can we retrain feats? I wanted to retrain one if allowed.

2. are Master Performer and Grandmaster Performer from faction guid allowed? I have the PDF copy that I bought for society play, but they are not on the PRD or the D20PSRD.

1) Sure if you pay for it and write it into the background later.

2) No.

I would say yes.
