This thread is for Krystallos: Blue Quartz gameplay.

Gameplay begins!

3rd of Diamond, year 54 of the Age of the Great Invasion

A steady drizzle of cold rain falls from the ash-gray sky. Already, rivers of color run down the sides of buildings as those recently painted murals that have had little time to dry are destroyed by the weather, nature's most powerful of critics. It is night and most shutters have been closed to keep out the rain. The scent of chimney smoke fills the air.

This section of Blue Quartz is built upon the back of the giant's left hand. Tonight, the moon, the bone white sky turtle, lies due "north" while the plains of the Quartz Territories lays to the "south". Above your head is the horizon, stretching on seemingly forever.

Dawna and Leiko:
You have just left the Azure Sea. While both booze and food there are passable, the place is a tavern and not an inn. There are no rooms to rent and you'll both need to find a place to bunk down for the night.

You are only two blocks away from the Azure Sea when you hear someone cry for help. You're sure that whoever screamed is just on the other side of an alleyway you're just now passing.

Kintal and Milo:
Tonight's dinner/performance went exceptionally well! While the venue, a little bistro called The Lowest Hanging Fruit, wasn't the most elegant of eateries the crowd loved Kintal's unique combination of swordplay and cooking. They, forgive the pun, ate it up. Best of all, Milo got a free meal out of it. Now, the two of you have left and are walking together in the rain. It is time to find a place to bed down for the night.

You're just a block north of the Lowest Hanging Fruit, in fact, when you hear a cry for help! Whoever screamed is somewhere ahead. The rain makes it impossible to make out more than vauge outlines of several figures engaged in a scuffle some three or four blocks away.

Telthes:
Things haven't been going as well as you might like. Blue Quartz doesn't seem to need someone with your particular skills right now. In fact, the last guy who hired you to guard his grand mural painting turned out to be a poseur. Not only was he a terrible artist but, when it came time to give you the bill, the wretch stiffed you! Now, you've got no place to stay and very little coin. That needs to change, soon.

You're walking through the rain, a perfect end to a perfect day, and your boots are getting stained by the paint washing off the buildings and running like rivers along the cobblestones. That's when you hear a cry for help behind you, back the way you came.

Hey, maybe this guy who needs help has money?

"Hahaa, they're closing their doors for this little drizzle, now that's funny." Leiko downs the last of her drink, having absentmindedly stolen her glass, not being in the best of conditions at the moment.

Upon hearing the scream, she smiles, "Wheee... Daily good deed, here I come..." before stumbling off in vaguely the direction of the scream.

Due to having gotten to friendly with the of far greater constitution Dawna as they swapped stories of their homeland, Leiko currently has sickened condition, for -2 to weapon attacks and damage, saving throws, and skill and ability checks.

Male Ifrit Paladin 1

Telthes turns and heads towards the cry, though doesn't draw his weapon yet. No point in another unnecessary incident with the authorities

Perception check 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 8

Given his anger issues, has telthes already threatened to beat the deadbeat within an inch of his life? If not I will want to pay him a visit in the near future.

Even though they were left standing in the rain Dawna felt all warm and comfortable for the moment. She seems a bit tipsy, I better watch out for her. "You might wanna leave that gl..."

She turned around as she heard the yell. Leiko ran ahead. "Not before the first legion, you won't!" Dawna called after her and started to run. But, being... well, not drunk but certainly a bit fuzzy inside as well, and wearing armour there was no way she could keep up with Leiko and thus the 5th Legion would only be the second to come to the rescue.

Heavy boots clad with steely shinguards smashed onto the wet cobblestone. Hopefully it would not be too late, the bit of extra speed Leiko had might just save the victim. Hastily she tried to fumble her shield to the front while she was running, without falling even more behind, but the shield was a hindrance.

"What was that? A scream?" Milo said, a mixture of wariness, fear and excitement written on his face, gleaming from his eyes. His hand had unconciously snapped to his reagents belt, and he stood there for several long moments, rubbing the contents of one pouch between his fingers as he chewed on his lip with an indecisive look. Finally he shook his head. "Ive usually come to regret this in the past but...Im going to go and try to help, whoever it is, with whatever it is." He set of at a run towards the direction of the shout, his indecision still showing in his pace. "You coming?" He called back to Kintal, his pace picking up.

Telthes:
While the darkness isn't an issue for you, the rain certainly is. You can barely make out four or five figures through the curtain of water pouring down from the heavens. It doesn't help that the rain is falling down at such an odd angle due to your relative position to the sky.

And, it is up to you if you decided to beat the deadbeat. Whichever works best for your part of the story.

Everyone else, I'm going to wait for Kintal to post and then we'll go into Initiative.

Kintal looks up at his human companion:
Probably should. Dead people are terrible tippers and those they refer are usually more interested in eating the cook than the cuisine.

Kintal draws his tiny blade and takes off after the tall man who had stayed to chat after to evenings cooking show.

In that case the deadbeat is probably terribly sorry he ever laid eyes on me.

Initiative: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (12) + 1 = 13

Kintal's initiative: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (10) + 4 = 14
Grayscale Masks' initiative: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3

Initiative and a link to the battle map have been posted at the top of the thread.

Through the murk and gloom of the rain falling slantways you can see three men in monochrome greys, blacks and whites standing over a third man dressed in green Cleric's robes. The three men are armed with standard bully clubs and are beating the Cleric as he lays there. The attacks have on some sort of black and white masks.

The mask of the attackers.

Knowledge (Local) DC 10:
The black and white masks signify the attackers belong to a gang known as the Greyscale Masks. They're associated with the Cartel and are known for both their violence and their vandalism and graffiti.

Knowledge (Religion) DC 12:
The man in green robes is likely a Cleric of Emerald belonging to the Cult of the Quiet Touch, an order dedicated to providing free healing and care to the poor and destitute.

Please note, due to the slanting rain and the water and paint running along the cobblestone, visibility and movement are effected in the following ways:

Movement: Everyone's movement is reduced by 1 square. So, if you normally have 6 squares of movements you now have 5 squares of movement.

Visibility: The rain makes it hard to see. Any target more than 20 feet (4 squares) away has Concealment and there's a 20% miss chance.

Any square with something in it (such as the fountain near Leiko and Dawna or the cart near Kintal and Milo) counts as difficult terrain and moving through it costs 2 squares of movement instead of 1. Please keep in mind that this is Pathfinder so diagonal movement counts as 5 feet for the first diagonal square, 10 feet for the next, 5 feet for the one after that and so on.

Everyone can post their actions now. Please note that each of the Greyscale Mask thugs have a colored dot on their token. Use that to differentiate between them. Feel free to do if/then statements so you don't have to wait until someone above you in initiative order goes. Move yourself on the map according to your first choice of action. If need be, I'll adjust your token's position based on secondary choices (if they become relevant).

Example: If he can, John will try to flank one of the thugs with another player. If he can't do that, John will move up to the closest thug and pummel him with his mace.

Include rolls for your actions. If you're attacking, roll damage as well. Roll additional damage from sneak attack separately, please, so it is easy to remove if need be. You can roll to confirm criticals in your post, too.

Finally! I encourage description. One of the joys of text based roleplay is you can fully describe your actions in all their glory.

Apologies if all this seemed obvious to y'all. I just wanted to be clear for any newer players.

"Grayscale Masks. Milo said with some surprise, pausing a moment as he dug through his mind for anything he knew about them. He shook his head angrily, turning to Kintal. "Theres practically no chance this is anything but a crime, we should intervene without warning."

Not waiting for Kintals consent or objection, he then proceeded to rush towards the wagon. With agility but some obvious unsteadiness, he jumped onto it, before lining up one extended hand, palm up as if offering something towards the men. Chanting a few quick syllables, he waved his other hand around in fluid, seemingly random motions. Finishing with a snap of his fingers, a vicious bubbling blob of acid appeared hovering above his palm, before snapping through the air towards the nearest man, trailing a tail like a comet.

Acid Splash: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (13) + 3 = 16 Damage: 1d3 ⇒ 1

"That was a warning shot!" He shouted, doing his best to not stammer. "Oh boy, what trouble have you gotten into?"

Shooting at red

[Img] [Info] [Sheet] Female Human Paladin 1

By the amethyst, hopefully it is not too late. She was hardly able to see anything in the blasted rain, which wasn't even coming from straight above due to the blasted gravity an this giant, still she moved in as fast as she could in the rain and unsheathed and raised her her sword doing so.

"Stand back now or faith the wrath of Dawna of Amethyst's Fifth Legion!" she yelled at them, leaving no doubt that she would not hesitate to use her sword. Hopefully this would not cause diplomatic complications, interference of a knight of the Amethyst Kingdom in Blue Quartz territory might cause all kinds of hassle, but she would worry about that after she saved the victim.

Intimidate: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6

She notices quite a lot of people coming from all directions in the area. This is probably good. She just hopes Leiko won't get herself into more trouble than she can handle.

Free action: She calls out and tries to intimidate.
2x Move Action: Move, she draws her sword during the first (since she has +1 BaB she can do so while moving.)
SE, SE, E, E, NE: Effectively six fields.

Leiko stumbles into the fountain, clutching it for support as she starts cursing at the opponents in Alexandritch.

Wait, no, that's just a passive aggressive drinking song. While her modifications to the melody and her emotion put into the song are clearly meant to make it heroic, the song Leiko has picked's words do not match in the slightest.

Alright, everybody, take your Inspire Courage bonus. :)

Technically, Intimidating someone is a Standard Action at base. Yes its weird when you can speak as a free action...guess you gotta stop to do some flexing or something.

Leiko wrote:

So being last, Milo gets the +1 to hit and damage, huzzah, doubling my damage just like that!

Milo is correct, Dawna. You can't intimidate and take a double move. Please adjust your move accordingly.

Since Leiko goes first with her heroic drinking song, I'll adjust Milo's to hit and damage rolls accordingly when determining results. Everyone else remember she's got Inspire Courage going.

[Img] [Info] [Sheet] Female Human Paladin 1

Well, that's a bit odd now, since I already rolled, but in doubt I would not have tried intimidate, because she has no skill points in it. I actually tried to look this up before I posted, but I did not find anything on social actions in this list: http://paizo.com/pathfinderRPG/prd/combat.html#table-8-2-actions-in-combat
So, suppose Dawna only says something to Leiko that she noticed the enemy and is moving in to engage, with an effective speed of 15 feet I can't afford to loose an actual move.

Grayscale masks are useless. At least some criminals have a respect for the arts. I have no doubt that these ones are not among those art lovers.

With that, he moves forward while drawing his rapier.

Action: Double Move while drawing rapier

Yeah, that chart isn't as complete as it could be. You would need to look here: http://paizo.com/pathfinderRPG/prd/skills/intimidate.html#intimidate where it lists Demoralizing as a standard action. If you want to just say you shouted your demand to stand down but didn't actually intimidate and then double moved, I'm fine with that.

Intimidate is always a standard action if used to demoralize. It is under the Intimidate skill and the specific rule is always going to trump a general rule.

Kintal will be able to Intimidate as a swift or free action before too long from some of his Swashbuckler skills.

Does inspire courage buff Acid Splash? I thought it didn't do anything for spellcasters, besides the to hit buff.

The general consensus is, I believe, if you roll a to hit, Inspire Courage works for it.

In my opinion, the description for Inspire Courage is clear:

a +1 competence bonus on attack and weapon damage rolls.

They placed the adverb "weapon" before damage, but expressly not before attack. Thus, in my opinion, that bonus should work for all "attack" rolls, but only for "weapon" damage. Since this is a spell, and not a weapon, I would not have the Inspire Courage effect damage.

However, as a player in this game, I will not complain if you should decide that IC does effect spell damage for rays and other touch attack roll requiring spells.

Rays qualify as weapons, you can even use Arcane Strike and Weapon Specialization with it if you wanted. I once tried to make a character around it, but it never really ended up worth it ;)

Male Ifrit Paladin 1

Telthes moves up to centre of the map drawing his greataxe.

"If you gentleman don't want you blood to paint the walls of these buildings, I suggest you cease beating that man."

Action summary for turn 1.

  • @24: Leiko moves and uses Inspire Courage, granting a +1 to attacks and weapon damage.
  • @14: Kintal double moves, drawing his rapier.
  • @13: Dawna double moves, drawing her sword.
  • @9: Telthes double moves.
  • @6: Milo moves, spends an arcane res point and casts the acid splash spell on the red Greyscale Mask, doing 2 damage.

The three greyscale masked thugs pause in their beating of the Cleric as they are called out. Their facial expressions aren't visible under that masks but one can almost imagine them smirking. Right up until the acid orb Milo throws splashes against one's arm. There's a sizzle as the acid eats through his sleeve and burns his flesh.

"Ow!" The thug grunts. "Awright. We was just going to warn you off, we was. But now youse all've earned a good thumpin'.Wasit gonna be, boys? The dandy spell slinger, the skirts or the runts? Whose we start wit?"

Another of the thugs replies, pointing a baton at Milo. "Geek the mage."

The red dot thug runs past Kintal, who gets an attack of opportunity.

Kintal's Attack of Opportunity on the red dot thug: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (6) + 8 = 14

Kintal's thrust misses. The red dot thug slips past him and brings his baton down toward's Milo's head.

Red dot thug's attack on Milo: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 4 = 12

Fortunately, Milo's just nimble enough to dodge the blow, leaping back out of the way.

The blue dot thug runs but his feet slip in the rain and he isn't able to reach Milo, so he settles on the nearest target, Kintal.

Blue dot thug's attack on Kintal: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (13) + 4 = 17

The large, slow, clumsy human is no match for the nimble halfling, however. Kintal easily avoids the blow with a simple side step.

The green dot thug charges forward, attempting to crack Telthes upside the head with his bully club.

Green dot thug's attack on Telthes: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7

Towards the tail end of his run, however, the green thug slides on the wet cobblestone. His swing goes wild, missing Telthes by more than a mile.

Kintal, this time I assumed you'd want to take the attack of opportunity. In the future, please let me know in your action with an OOC note if you're reserving that attack of opportunity slot for a parry and riposte.

We move to the top of the round. The battle map is properly updated.

Male Ifrit Paladin 1

Telthes will take a 5 ft step then power attack the man that attacked him (green).

1d20 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9 Power attack-1, Inspire courage +1

damage 1d12 + 8 ⇒ (9) + 8 = 17

Leiko continues singing, and one of the thugs feels an inexplicable compulsion to lay down in the water.

Leiko is converting one of her Cure Light Wounds to Command, DC 15 Will save to ignore, on the red thug.

Red Thug's Will Save: 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (14) + 0 = 14

The red thug stops mid-swing, about to swing at Milo again. A blank look fills his face and he plops himself down onto the street, laying prone face up with his arms spread as if he were making a snow angel. The way the water and paint are flowing around and over him, he won't be monochrome for much longer.

The red dot thug will be prone (-4 to melee attack roll, +4 to AC vs ranged and -4 to AC vs melee) until Leiko's next turn.

The Exchange

Male Halfling (Emerald Shire) Swashbuckler/1 (HP: 8/12; AC21; FF16; T16; F+3, R+7, W+3; Perc: +8, Init +4)

Annoyed that someone would attack him, Kintal chuckles gleefully at the thugs errant swipes.
Is that the best you can do? Perhaps next time you should pick on a chef your own size.

The halfling then dances between the two thugs, one lying on the ground, before jabbing at the goon making splash angels.

5-foot move

Attack-rapier @ red dot: 1d20 + 7 + 1 + 4 ⇒ (7) + 7 + 1 + 4 = 19 <-- +7 base, +1 Inspire Courage, +4 prone (not sure if the prone is a bonus to attack, or minus to AC, but the effect is the same. Adjust if necessary.
Damage: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3

Although not the most accurate, the prone target is not hard to hit from the tiny chef.

Like spearing boiled apples.

AoO if applicable:

Kintal will use his AoO to poke at the red dot if he stands from prone. If he does not stand, then Kintal will use it for Parry and Riposte.

AoO(if applicable): 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (9) + 8 = 17 <-- add +4 if prone
Damage: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3

I suppose Mr. Green did not survive Telthes' power attack? Ugh... wait that's only a nine in the attack attack roll. I'll assume that he missed for now.

Severaly frustrated with the fact that none of the strangely masked thugs would confront her she sets after them. The situation is a bit chaotic and it's difficult to tell friend and foe apart, but the masked thugs did hit a helpless victim. Attacking someone's back is not glorious, but she will not be ignored either.

Dawna calls upon her powers to detect the powers of evil, sets after the next thug and strikes a blow against him.

Move Action: Detect Evil + five-foot-step (you can still make a five foot step if the only move action you make does not include an actual move?)

Attack vs. green modifiers: Flanking + Inspire Courage + if he is evil smite evil
Attack: 1d20 + 5 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (12) + 5 + 1 + 2 = 20
+4 (Cha bonus) if he is evil
EDIT: Wait! She's not flanking, an imaginare line would go one left and two up and thus not go through the corner, but to green's left hand side, thus -2
Damage modifiers: Inspire Courage
Damage: 1d8 + 3 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 3 + 1 = 7
+1 if he is evil

Action summary for turn 2 thus far

  • @24: Leiko spends a free action to continue her Inspire Courage. She has 5 full round left. She casts Command on the red dot thug, forcing him to lay down.
  • @14: Kintal makes a 5 foot adjustment and stabs at the red dot thug.
  • @13: Dawna uses detect evil, makes a 5 foot adjustment and attacks the green dot thug.
  • @9: Telthes makes a 5 foot adjustment and swings at the green dot thug.

Kintal, the prone modifier is -4 to AC and not +4 to attack but, you're right, the effect is the same here.

Kintal dances between the much taller Greyscale Masks and twists around, stabbing downward with his rapier. The Mask laying on the ground screams in pain as the rapier pierces his midsection and blood wells up, turning his white shirt black.

Dawna, the green dot Greyscale Mask is not evil, though certainly his current deeds are. No smite evil bonus. You retain your ability to Smite Evil should you need it later in the day.

In answer to Dawna's prayer, the Totem Amethyst shines a light in to the hearts of the Greyscale Mask before her. While it is obvious this man is not a good man, Amethyst judges that he is not truly evil, either. Even still, her sword metes out justice as her sword bites into his shoulder and draws blood.

Telthes swings in a wide arc at the green dot Greyscale Mask with his greataxe trying to gain momentum for the blow. However, as the axe passes by the fountain it scrapes the stone there. That throws off the dwarf's aim and the razor sharp axe cleaves nothing but the rain.

After Milo goes I'll post the Greyscale Masks' actions and we'll move onto round three!

Initiative 13:
Dawna hesitates. "By all crystals and the memory of the fallen onyx, hold, everyone! That's enough mayhem!" While his cause may or may not be evil, the man before her was not himself evil. Maybe there was another way out - those that came to the aid of the attacked man had clearly made their point.

Standard Action: Total Defense
Move Action: None
(Dawna does not make a five-foot step to flank the enemy, because she does not wish to open a path to Leiko.)

Maybe I was a bit too elaborate in describing Milos actions, but he just cast a simple Acid Splash, no Arcane Reservoir point spent.

Despite his own thoughts of being rather stalwart in the face of danger, Milo could not quell a surprised yelp as the thug charged at him and missed by a hair. Still, what he lacked in courage he made up for in smarts, and despite the danger did not cast a spell to protect himself. "These others should have this well in hand, no need to expend what little power I have. Keeping out of harms way however..."

With that thought, he crouched and slapped his palms together. A loud crack followed, the already blurred visibility becoming even more so around him as the scenery next to him looked like it distorted, bending towards the arcanist. As fast as it had begun, everything righted itself, the only difference being Milos location. Stood 10 feet away from where he had previous been, he was already in motion, moving towards the most friendly looking of the helpful strangers.

Running up next to Leiko, he bent down and rested his hands on his knees, a bit winded from whatever magic he had wrought. "Im not running, im just advancing in another direction, you see?" He said, looking up at Leiko with a boyish grin. Unexpectedly managing eye contact, his cheeks flushed red in an instant. "Well, ehm, I..." Looking away, he quickly set about casting another Acid Splash.

Acid Splash at Red: 1d20 + 3 + 1 - 4 ⇒ (12) + 3 + 1 - 4 = 12 I have a habit of including all modifiers in my rolls, so I already put the melee penalty in there.

Damage: 1d3 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3

As part of his Move Action, Milo spends an Arcane Point to use Dimensional Slide and avoid an Attack of Opportunity. He then runs to Leiko with his movement and casts Acid Splash with his Standard Action.

Dawna: Are you replacing your attack action with total defense? Or is that your action for round 3? I'll need to know before I post the Greyscale Masks' actions.

Oh, sorry, that was for round three already.

Okay. Got it. Everyone, please don't post your next round actions until the current round is done. It'll make it less confusing for me. Sorry for that. From now on I'll announce the beginning of the new round with big, bold letters to avoid confusion.

Action summary for turn 2 thus far
@24: Leiko spends a free action to continue her Inspire Courage. She has 5 full round left. She casts Command on the red dot thug, forcing him to lay down.

@13: Dawna uses detect evil, makes a 5 foot adjustment and attacks the green dot thug.
@9: Telthes makes a 5 foot adjustment and swings at the green dot thug.
@6: Milo teleports ten feet, moves up to Leiko, flirts, blushes and casts acid splash.

Milo: Originally, I had thought you had used the Acid Jet exploit, then realized you don't have it. I started editing the post to fix that, got distracted for a moment, and never finished editing. My apologies.

Perhaps because he is too busy flirting with Leiko, Milo's acid splash sphere flies off target and hits the cart near the Greyscale Mask instead of the Greyscale Mask himself. Tomorrow, the cart's owner will wonder what artistic statement is being made by melting off part of his read axle.

And now the Greyscale Maskers are up.

The red dot Masker continues to lay on the street, getting his wonderfully monochrome clothing wet and dirty in the rivers of paint and rain that flow across the cobblestone. The magic compels him to get up but doesn't compel him to stop fighting. He swings at Kintal, trying to break his knees with the bully club. Like a child playing skiprope, however, Kintal easily leaps over the club attack.

Red dot Greyscale Maskers attack on Kintal: 1d20 + 4 - 4 ⇒ (14) + 4 - 4 = 14

"Oy!" shouts the green dot Greyscale Masker. "This one's plum crazy! Help me wit' her!"

The blue dot masker shouts in return that he'll be right there. Of course, moving away from Kintal and Telthes both gives each of the "runts" a free shot. Kintal's rapier easily makes contact, cutting a slice in blue dot's rear end. Blue dot runs the gauntlet, however, sidestepping past Telthes' quick axe swipe.

Kintal rolled his AoO in his post.
Telthes' attack of opportunity on blue dot: 1d20 + 4 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 4 + 1 = 11
Blue dot moves two squares SW and then one square SE.

The green dot Greyscale Masker leaps nimbly back and to the side so he's flanking Dawna with his mate. Together, they coordinate an attack to hit her from both sides with their clubs.

Green dot makes a five foot adjustment so he's flanking with blue dot.

Blue dot's attack on Dawna w/ flanking bonus: 1d20 + 4 + 2 ⇒ (16) + 4 + 2 = 22
Blue dot's damage on Dawna: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5
Green dot's attack on Dawna w/ flanking bonus: 1d20 + 4 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 4 + 2 = 16
Green dot's damage on Dawna: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5

Dawna takes 10 points of damage as she is pummeled with clubs and has 5 hit points left.

a) Why 10 points of damage? I have AC 18... I did mention earlier that I put on the shield. b) How exactly do they both get a flanking bonus? They only flank me after they have both moved. So only the second to act should.
Anyway, under these circumstances, I would like to revoke the post I've previously made, if I may.

Yes, yes you do have an AC of 18. I totally was looking at your HP for some reason. My bad. You take 5 points of damage, leaving you with 10 HP. They both move on the same initiative so they more or less moved in concert - a coordinated maneuver as if they had worked together before! I'd allow the same sort of teamwork from PCs who had the same initiative.

And yes, you can change your action. I figured you'd want to. :)

One could just move, then ready to attack once the other moves. Btw I dont intend to be annoying with rules corrections and what not, I just cant help myself. Ive had ppl get annoyed about such things in the past so I try to talk about it before it becomes a problem.

I'm. It concerned, Milo. I'm not afraid to say "it doesn't work that way in this situation" if I need to. In this case, your explanation works as well as mine. In either case, the end result is the same. Both Maskers got flanking bonuses.

The second masked guy was one too much. It had been quite a while since she suffered actual damage in actual combat and that was not something one could (or should) get used to. But she bit her lip and focused on the fight. It was a good thing that they were all after her in so far as they range and she could pick her target. However the one she had previously been attacking did get a little too close to Leiko for Dawna's taste.

Good thing that powerful dwarf was there to help her out; Dawna didn't think that he had to hit anything with his axe twice.

She circled around the bandit she had previously attacked and thus forced the other one to set after her swung her sword in a not particularly elegant, but effective and by-the-book blow.

Attack/Damage: +1 Inspire Courage
Attack on Green: 1d20 + 5 + 1 ⇒ (17) + 5 + 1 = 23
Damage: 1d8 + 3 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 3 + 1 = 12

The field with the statue is blocked or heavy terrain?

The statue itself is blocked. The fountain tiles are double movement.

Round 3
Kintal looks down, yes, thats right, down, at the red thug.
Is that the best you can do? You actually think you can hit me like that? Well, I am going to prepare you for the afterlife.

He then once more stabs at the thug.

Attack-rapier: 1d20 + 7 + 1 ⇒ (20) + 7 + 1 = 28 <-- -4 AC for being prone
Damage: 1d4 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 + 1 = 5

Crit confirm: 1d20 + 7 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 7 + 1 = 15 <-- -4 AC for being prone
Damage: 1d4 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 + 1 = 6

Although his blade is tiny, it bites deep, finding a vulnerable spot beneath the Masks rib cage.

AoO actions:

Kintal will hold his AoO to use on a Parry and Riposte should the bad guy get a hit since it will likely be a crit if it hits.

Male Ifrit Paladin 1

Telthes will take a 5ft step then power attack the blue one.

1d20 + 4 ⇒ (19) + 4 = 23

for 1d12 + 8 ⇒ (7) + 8 = 15 dmg

Leiko did indeed catch Milo's eye, and she gave him her best "Heyyyyyyyyy" smile, continuing singing for everyone else.

As the opponents went down, she ceased her singing to address him properly, reaching out a hand to grab his shoulder for support if he were so kind as to stay there. "Hey there handsoerhflgh.." The rest of her words were stolen by the steam of puke. He may yet be grateful for the rain.

Ever the gentleman, in spite of his obvious trepidation at a womans attention, Milo supported Leikos weight. Keeping his eyes to the ground, he froze in place as he first heard, then felt Leiko vomiting. Dumbfounded, not quite capable of processing what was happening, he simply stood there as the noxious mixture of alcohol and bile caked his hair and rolled down the back of his shirt. "Women can be just as foul as men...you just never expect it."
