Avery Starr |
Initiative: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4
Avery recoils from the thundering stone at her feet, grimacing as it assaults her ears and stumbling back a few steps.
When she gets a chance to act, she'll try again to pinpoint the source of the movement. Eyes of the hawk!
Perception: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (15) + 12 = 27
Numalar Auritonius |
Initiative: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (20) + 5 = 25
Great, I roll a natural 20 and I can't see anything. Well, there's one target on the map...
I suppose the rest of us are off the map, but how far? I'll assume that we are just off the map, as I don't think we would have let Avery get too far ahead of the rest of us.
Since I rolled so high on Initiative I'll go ahead and describe my turn.
"A Fray! By the Blade of Shindorlai, they will rue the day they took arms against us!"
I can't enlarge anyone while they are on horseback; it will crush the horse.
Numalar takes a shot with his crossbow at the one target he can see.
To-hit and damage with crossbow: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (18) + 3 = 211d6 ⇒ 6
"Ha! First Blood! Take that, you goat-loving scum!"
Guessing that Linora will soon put spurs to the horse, Numalar jumps down from the saddle...
Fast Dismount, DC 20: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (19) + 2 = 21
Man! I'm on fire today!
...and lands gracefully in a crouch. Hiding in the shadow of the horse, he gets in position to sprint forwards.
I will ready an action to move, waiting for there to be sufficient cover. I don't want to do so in the open and will wait until others have moved up, possibly giving cover from some of the horses. If this is a proper ambush there will be enemies on either side of us. However, If I can get under the wagon from where I am, I will move now.
Hard to say where I will end up seeing as I'm not sure where exactly I am starting from. So I guess we'll play it by ear.
Lady Ansha Saeralyan |
Initiative: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9
Perception: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (19) + 3 = 22
Linora Avedra |
Initiative: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (15) + 4 = 19
Fast Dismount: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (12) + 4 = 16
Were we on foot or on our horses? If on foot, Linora will run to Avery's side to back her up. If on horse, she will use a move action to get off the horse. Either way, she will draw her sword and ready an action.
"The bastards have the jump on us! They'll wish they killed us instead of throwing their blasted rock."
Readied action to attack when an enemy is within reach
Calinthas "Cal" Aldimay |
Initiative: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4
Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (15) + 6 = 21
While immediately aware of the situation, Cal appears slow to react, as though he didn't get enough sleep the night before.
Just wanted to give you guys the heads up that I'll be out of town and unable to post until Sunday evening. Cal with do the same as Linora above, either to dismount or move to cover and draw his blade.
Karsh Shieldborn |
Karsh drops off the horse as best he can as the stone strikes and the sound rings out. He pulls out his hammer and uses his horse as cover, "Sorry there horse, but it's best if we keep out of sight as best as we can."
Initiative: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6
Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (14) + 6 = 20
Numalar Auritonius |
"Show yourselves, you sons of swine!" Numalar calls out from beside the horse. "Are these the robber-lords of the forest we've heard so much about? Afraid of a small band of travellers? Or perhaps you were sired by sheep!"
If taunting has any actual game effect, I will roll (perform: oratory seemed the most likely skill here):
Perform (Oratory): 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (12) + 9 = 21
