Krazok Vell Firesource |
"I don't think I will need to... Valisia will you wait for a bit and see if she becomes herself again?" Krazok asks.
Valisia |
Valisia nods, her eyes narrowing, wondering what the heck is going on, grumbling to herself, "...flash shiny bracelelet....what do you expect.....rassafrasaa..." she kicks a small rock with her foot.
Aurora Blackrose |
Aurora walks up from the basement and notices the events unfold.
She shyly asks the group
"Who are you guys, and why are you fighting each other?"
She looks to be 5 foot 7 inches tall.
Selena the Elfen Feline |
Selena begins to snap out of her magical trance and says, "Now where was I?"
Blienka |
Surprised at the sudden appearance of the small lizard, Blienka reaches up and scratches its ear before pulling a small cake from her pouch. It is a little road worn, but still edible.
Sly. You came to visit. I am sorry to hear about Fizzy.
Valisia |
Valisia waves to the new person. "Hello, I am Valisia. This is Kezelia, an Eidolon from the planes beyond ours." she refers to the tall naked blue woman nearby, with shimmering scales, feathers, sharp talons, fangs and a somewhat avian look.
Kezelia nods in greeting.
Aurora Blackrose |
Aurora timid way smiles and waves back
"Hello Valisia and Kezelia, I am Aurora Blackrose."
Selena the Elfen Feline |
She takes a few steps and rests her head against the cool brick wall. She stands up straight after taking a few long breaths. She simply says, "I am cursed... There are too many here. Valisia walk with me."
Krazok Vell Firesource |
"Good to see you Fizzintelligence." He says as pleasantly as possible.
Blienka |
Blienka looks over at Aurora.
What brings you so far south. Seems rather strange that so many would be holed up in this fort that was formerly the hold of so much evil.
With that she looks down at Sly:
Careful, we are far from Oleg's where treats are plentiful.
Valisia |
Valisia falls in line next to Selena. "What kind of curse? Not that I know anything about curses mind you."
Selena the Elfen Feline |
Selena walks away from the group for some privacy with Valisia.
Valisia |
"Yes, Kezelia and I are partners. I don't know what she does when she isn't summoned here, maybe hangs out with her friends or something, but when she arrives here we have all sorts of good times. "
Selena the Elfen Feline |
"What do you say? Do you want the package deal?"
Valisia |
"Well, I don't think I want to control you, but I do like the idea of increased magical abilities! So lets give it a try."
GM Wolf |
Selena hands Valisia the bracelet. Once Valisia puts the platinum bracelet on magical colors begin to pour out of the object. The colors swirl around Valisia and Selena.
You are now a cleric 3/summoner 3!!! You might have more time to go back and see what abilities it has besides the stated so far.
Krazok Vell Firesource |
"So Aurora, where have you lived exactly? Any information you can give us on our map? Jorne, Krafnik how about you too?" He asks as he pulls out his map.
Check out the campaign info tab to find what we have explored so far.
Krazok Vell Firesource |
"But you can't help much with what is in these unexplored areas?" He asks.
Likely not...
Fritz Lodovka |
From outside the fort, a single horse and its rider approach. Not at a gallop, but a determined trot brings them outside the walls. The pair slow, appraising the structure, before getting adjacent. The man is rugged, dark-skinned, and armed - he has a sheathed zweihänder across his back with a shield strapped behind it, and there is a sword sheathed at his side. He wears a breastplate, helm, and bracers, and a few small packs adorn the horse. This is clearly someone who packed for travelling.
As he entered the structure, his form became more apparent (credit due to Dashinvaine, though my character's hair is not as well-kept, and his skin is a mid-shade of brown instead). A half-orc, he fit the armed and muscled stereotypes. His face, however, did not hold malice. Instead ... mirth?
He approached a distance within earshot of an inside voice, then drew his longsword. Passing the hilt from his right hand to his left, he held the blade in reverse, as one might a ski. Searching the group with his eyes, they fell to...
This person:: 1d7 ⇒ 2
Blienka. He paused a moment before beginning to speak. By this time, it was clear the armored man was not barbaric, for his actions were focused, and his appearance gave clues to his habits.
"You lot must have beat me to the punch. Can't imagine one of you is the Deer Lord?" His question is half-rhetorical as he sweeps his gaze before returning it to her. "I am Fritz Lodovka, instructor of blades. Or at least I was." He looked to his sword before squatting to place it gently on the ground. Fritz regained his formidable height.
"I heard of bandits to be dealt with, of names to be made out here. You vanquished him? If so you've made a name for yourselves." He paused, his baritone voice fading to quiet a moment. "That's why I'm here, and I wouldn't mind hearing how you did it - that is, if you wouldn't mind telling me."
Aurora Blackrose |
Aurora timidly hides behind Jorne from the surprise of Fritz's appearance, as she was focused on trying to recall more of what she has seen south of here.
Perception: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (6) + 8 = 14
SenseMotive: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (19) + 2 = 21
Know(Religion): 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8
Aurora thinks as she looks over Fritz
"He's definitely seen fights as a member of Gorum's kirk, and he does clean his gear."
Aurora corrects him after he speaks in a timid manner
"I hate to correct you, but it was Stag Lord, not Deer Lord.
And I was not here when he was put down, I'm just a local"
Fritz, you gave enough details and a quick reference image I could use to make your character render, but no height.
Jenya P. |
From a slightly different direction two more figures approach. One of them is one a horse herself and she dismounts and secures her colt and pats her down. Just as Fritz was introducing himself she enters the fort as well looking around with interest.
Standing a shade over 5 feet she is wearing a brown duster over her fairly impressive armor. She is wearing tan gloves and a pair of dusty goggles hang from their strap around her neck. Her dark hair is a bit matted and ends at her shoulders. A pair of bandoliers filled with vials hang in cross straps over her body and on her hip is a belt which holds not only pouches and a powder horn but also a holster containing a pistol. Her expression is one of intense and good natured curiosity.
Hey is this the place where the Stag Lord got taken out? Is there a body?
Aurora Blackrose |
Aurora replies less timidly from last time, and she moves her tail some as she speaks.
"Sway?, I am not under anyone's sway. I am, who I am."
Aurora is then surprised by Jenya's presense due to focusing on Fritz.
"I believe it is, as for the body I don't know. Better to ask the folks who were here for that."

Albinius Ap Medvyed |
The other one of the pair is on foot.
A tall, somewhat gangly Half Elf (standing around 6'2") with fairly short dark hair, neatly parted on the left hand side and piercing green eyes. He's wearing a khaki coloured linen shirt, carefully laundered, tan trousers, and a wide brimmed hat. Like his companion a pair of bandoleers filled with vials cross his chest and he is carrying an expensive looking backpack, with an umbrella and a butterfly net attached to the left and right side respectively. A plain looking walking staff is held in his left hand.
"So what's going on here, eh?" he asked good naturedly.
"My friend Jenya here reckoned that there had been some sort of brouhaha and that it was worth checking out. Oh, where are my manners I haven't introduced myself. My name is Albinius Ap Medvyed. Absolutely delighted to meet you all."
He finishes with a little bow before extending his hand out to shake.
Krazok Vell Firesource |
This ten foot monster of draconic heritage emerges from the fort with a bloody large war axe as if straight from battle. His head is that of a dragon, as are his reddened bronze scales and claws. A mithril breastplate covers his chest, with a belt of gear around his waist.
"The Stag Lord is dead and banditry with him. I was among the few who took him down, his carcass rots likely up with the sword lords for we sent it up that way. I am Krazok of the fire breathers." He says in his growling voice of a dragonkin. He looks left and right, takes a deep breath in and continues, "Leader of my kin's hunting pack and the exploration of the stolenlands. Blienka and Valisia have proven themselves stalwart companions. The rest of you are new, please state who you are, why you are here and if you wish to join our expedition or not." As he says their names he points towards them with his free claw.
Krafnik Thorgrappin |
I am Krafnik Thorgrappin, friend of Jorne and we are the last of his expidition. If Jorne will join you or release me from our attempt which ended here, then I would join you
Fritz Lodovka |
"I believe it is, as for the body I don't know. Better to ask the folks who were here for that."
As people made themselves apparent in quick succession, Fritz felt outnumbered. Though they're not hostile. At least this place will be garrisoned.
"I now know I've found the correct spot, but I don't know who was here when. Could one of you who experienced what happened here go through it for me?" Or maybe us, thought the half-orc, looking around at the bevy of adventurers.
Albinius Ap Medvyed |
Albinius offers a hand to Krazok to shake.
"Absolute pleasure to make your acquaintance Krazok, old bean. My name is Albinius Ap Medvyed, Gentleman Naturalist. Exploration you say? That sounds exactly like my cup of kahve. Be jolly nice to have some company for a change after all that time I've spent working on my book. So where abouts are we exploring exactly?"
Valisia |
Valisia takes the bracelet, placing it on her tiny wrist where it hung awkwardly. Clearly this will takes some getting used to. After a moment her eyes widen, her pupils dilating like a cat's. "Wow...." Nodding to herself or perhaps some unheard voice, she says "Yes, yes I do. Thank you Fizzmetal. We have MUCH to discuss!" She takes the responsibility. Cackling to herself, she starts mumbling and then hears the commotion outside. "Hey Selena, lets go see what the ruckus is. Kezelia, come on!"
---
She steps outside the fort and sees a bunch of people approaching the fort and a conversation ongoing. Hearing Krazok's voice, she investigates and steps close to the towering dragonkin. Muttering from the side of her mouth, "Who're these people?" She squints her eyes and looks them over, deciding they seem friendly enough or harmless.
A diminutive form briskly scuttles up next to the dragon warrior. The size of a small human child, the small woman appears gnomish in build and features, but clearly her blood flows with some other race for her skin is a luminous metallic color, and her eyes shine with a bright silvery hue, the color changing subtly in the sunshine. Her hair is a bit wild, and sticks out in various directions, in the manner of many gnomes, it too appearing a mix of golds and silver hues. She wears a skillfully crafted shirt of mail to midriff and a short skirt. Practical traveling boots reach to her knees. A long cloak covers her back. One hand is covered with a mailed gauntlet and in the other she holds some sort of totemic staff. While, hardly a fighting weapon, it is more a stout stick, with a variety of feathers and other trinkets dangling from it.
Stepping up next to her is a tall creature. It resembles a nude completely blue humanoid woman. Parts of the creature's skin are covered in patches of blueish scales, while other parts soft feathers. The backs of her arms and legs are covered in soft azure feathers. From her head a long shroud of feathers, similar to a peacock's, drape over her shoulders. Tall, almost seven feet, but athletic, and strong, the creature's long hands end in razor sharp talons, and her jaw juts slightly, filled with sharp canine teeth. The blueish creature has a glowing rune over her left breast, and a similar rune can be seen on the tiny gnomish woman's cheek.
Valisia elbows Krazok in the calf, jesting "I hope they like frog meat...hmm...maybe we shouldn't mention that part..."
"Oh, hi, I'm Valisia, servant of the gods, and summoner of things. This is my Eidolon, Kezelia." She waves vaguely at everyone assembled with her mailed gauntlet, and points her staff at the tall blue female creature behind her.
Rocking from heel to toe, "Yep! Well, so, mmhmmm..."
Jenya P. |
Yup. I'm Jenya, Jenya Poole. From Jovvox way. I was in New Stetven and heard that some folks had taken out the Stag Lord and I figured I had to see what happened and met up with Albinius on the way. Heard the bandit lord was a real terror. If you guys need a helping hand then I'd be more than willing to help. Exploration and travelling is right up my alley.
Fritz Lodovka |
It would seem I chose well, thought Fritz, thinking of his initial address to Blienka. He responded to Krazok.
"Krazok, I - and it seems some others - heard a thrust was being made against the Stag Lord. I, Fritz Lodovka, came to aid in that. It seems I was too slow." The half-orc paused for a second before continuing, rubbing his amulet.
"That doesn't mean this journey was for nothing. Instead, I would help you secure these lands. You mentioned still having an expedition. Where do you intend to go? I seek not so much the gold as the glory."
Krazok Vell Firesource |
He takes Albinius' hand and firmly shakes it with his free clawed hand, responding to the question posed, "I will get to the plan shortly. Once everyone has stated who they are and answered my other questions."
Once answered, "I want us to explore faster than we have in the past, we will seperate into groups of three or more, scout out an area and report back. If you encounter a threat retreat and we will handle it with force. Some of my kin will likely join us but we must get to their lands first down in the Nalmarches. Blienka, Valisia, and I will lead the three teams. Any questions?"
He laughs at Valisia's comment, "Yes frog meat! An acquired taste that they will likely know soon enough."
"Fritz, you like the rest of you are welcome to join. These are still dangerous and untamed lands, we would be foolish to slap away a helping hand. There might be more bandits and someone may have aided the Stag Lord as well. Glory and gold will be aplenty in your future if you are steadfast in staying with us. Many have learned that the wilderness is not for them."
"Fritz to answer your question of what went down here, we charged the front gate. Bashed it open as others climbed over. Soon we were dispatching bandits left and right. Akiros bladecatcher turned to our side during that fight and the Stag Lord met his fate that day."
Selena the Elfen Feline |
A slim figure of pure deadly grace, a beauty to most especially with the angles of a well defined elf. The physic of any elf holding the measures of 5’7” and 90 pounds of a fine delicate flowing silk. Her porcelain skin does not seem to color, though she has many tattoos of different colors about her body. There are even small gems imbedded on her body. Her hair is a white, almost unatrally white, smooth and delicate. Though her eyes look to be cut from diamonds, the one hard spot on her body.
She does not appear to wear any weapons and he wears a scantily clad red dress that does not leave much to the imagination. She holds no backpack. A platinum collar resides around her neck with several gems imbedded on it. The gems are shining as if with its own magic.
This female elf in a red dress stays on the fringes of the conversation listening to the conversation. As others are introducing themselves she inserts hers as well, "I am Selena, I have been apart of the expedition several times and had to take personal time. I will be joining again, a scouting I will go." Her large smile reveals extra long canines.
GM Wolf |
A red falcon is on the hilt of his sword as well as his heavy metal shield and his black studded leather armor. With a few throwing axes on his belt. The man has dark red hair, the starting of a beard, and in simple clothes under his armor. He is a tall human just under six feet tall. He then says, "I am Jorne Fyrestone. I am from Taldor and wish to join, but would prefer to rest a few days at least."
Jenya P. |
Well the Song of the Spheres don't like bandits preying on travellers and so I don't either Jenya says with her hands on her hips I'll help you out with that and with exploring too. I've learned some tricks about getting along in the wild so I think I can pull my weight alright
Aurora Blackrose |
Aurora replies with more confidence those still looks somewhat timid, due to using her tail to hide her some as she introduces herself to the newcomers.
"I am Aurora Blackrose, I'm what you'd call a bit of a local.
And I do know the bandits were a bit of a problem, but is seems they have weakened without the stag lord around."
Fritz Lodovka |
"It sounds like you have things well in hand then. Were there any runners? Any that might bring the news of this change to other bandits' attention?"
Feeling a bit overshadowed, Fritz was not dismayed. This will be a challenge. A bit of a competition. The driven cleric did not shy from adversity, rather thriving in it.
"If a few days are being taken to rest, it would seem faster to explore the area in teams. Unless we expect resistance, we have enough for a few parties."
Aurora Blackrose |
Aurora replies to Fritz's words
"If we are to split up, how would we divide ourselves up. Especially since a number of us are new to each other?"
EmEss |
"Diversity of talent. Make sure each group has a good mixture of different skills and abilities. For example, I can probably find my way around and avoid trouble better than most, but I reckon that our friend Fritz here can handle himself far better than I can if we do run into any trouble with Bandits or anything else that insists on fighting. Apart from that, I suppose it's up to team leaders who each of them want on their team."
Abinius replies to Aurora.
Aurora Blackrose |
Aurora replies to Abinius
"So we'd need to know more about each other before we divide ourselves up."
Wrong alias, Abinius
Krafnik Thorgrappin |
For myself I am a holy warrior and orator of Kalinahat. I can handle yself in a battle with my bow and my skills can also be of merit in town Krafnik smiles and slaps Jorne on the shoulder letting out a held breath glad the two of them will continue their travels despite their lossrs. Jorne perhaps while we rest and recover we might hold a small service for all those fallen in our quest thus far...
