Blienka |
Nobody ever showed me a map. Blienka just figured everyone was aimlessly wandering through the Stolen Lands up to this point, pretty much what she had been doing before.

Great :)
For the old Character don't forget:
That leaves the group 7,000 gp to split between the six of you. Though if you make an extra 1/2 share for healing, and an extra 1/2 share for expenses; that leaves each of you 1,000 gp richer. Either speak with Alexandra to make any orders in gameplay or post your selections in the discussion thread.

Did we get 1000 or 2000 total from the spider dungeon? I have 2400 on my character sheet and want to make sure that I did not add it twice. I may have added it a few months back before the pause in playing, but am not sure.

adding three traps to my pony

This is not in-game, as the question was already asked in game, the charter asks the group to explore and make reference to anything of note in the stolenlands. There was someone doing the map making but she is not with the group anymore. So presently the group is just searching through the wilderness on survival checks rather than making or checking a map as they go.
It seems there are no map makers, bards, or such so.... I have an ace up my sleeve but I am not going to show it unless needed. Arvangail likely has a good guess as to what it is, Blienka might.
Blienka |
When she levels, Blienka can easily take a level in Cartography. As far as the map goes, I have an old one from a prior Kingmaker that died just into the second book. I will have to look at it and see if it is useable.
If anyone else wants to run the map, I will not stop them though.
Blienka |
I am very confused as to the map issue. I assume that the party is creating a map as we go. If you are requiring someone to have Profession(cartographer), then Blienka will grab that next level. If you want someone in the party to maintain a map, then we can figure out how. I thought with the map you had and the check marks, that we were creating a map, how else would we know which hexes need to be surveyed.
GM Wolf |
Since we have had very little discussion of it in discussion I thought I would move it to gameplay.
I do not require anyone to have chartography, though with no one making any checks to make a map or stating they are recording anything it looks like the map making stopped with my other NPC that the group did not pursued to come along.
I have maintained the group's exploration, with a map in the campaign info tab. The issue is gameplay and PCs or NPCs saying they are working on it.
GM Wolf |
Florian you can try to assist but only if you roll a 10 or higher can you assist one person.
I will allow it for now Blienka for you likely have created a rough map for what you have explored so far. Though no one in the present group has ever said they have a map, were making a map, or have the right materials to do make one. I will throw in my solution... well on second thought I will go a different route. Blienka when you woke up this morning you found a map case next to you, within was a rather well crafted map of the area and much detail to the parts of the area, even the recent last few days.

Just putting a grapple discussion here so it doesn't distract from the main gameplay.
As I understand it, you must become the grappler first or become free before doing anything else. <--This is incorrect
If you are grappled, you can attempt to break the grapple as a standard action by making a combat maneuver check (DC equal to your opponent's CMD; this does not provoke an attack of opportunity) or Escape Artist check (with a DC equal to your opponent's CMD). If you succeed, you break the grapple and can act normally. Alternatively, if you succeed, you can become the grappler, grappling the other creature (meaning that the other creature cannot freely release the grapple without making a combat maneuver check, while you can). Instead of attempting to break or reverse the grapple, you can take any action that doesn't require two hands to perform, such as cast a spell or make an attack or full attack with a light or one-handed weapon against any creature within your reach, including the creature that is grappling you.
Then...
Once you are grappling an opponent, a successful check allows you to continue grappling the foe, and also allows you to perform one of the following actions (as part of the standard action spent to maintain the grapple).
Check the part I bolded for emphasis. I think this is where you might have it mixed up. You aren't required to become the grappler or break free to do anything (unless you want to attack without penalty, or move away or attack with two handed weapons etc, so there are some restrictions, but you aren't held helpless), otherwise this would make grapple way more powerful. You are thinking of the pinned condition which is like grapple step 2, where the grappler makes a second check to basically hold the victim in place.
Check this handy flow chart Grapple Flow Chart. You can see that one of the options the grappled person has is still to attack or take other limited actions instead of trying to escape or outgrapple the original grappler.
Clearly you can run grapple how you like :)
GM Wolf |
Oh ok, I see where I got side tracked. I thought it was all connected.
Oh yes that flow chart helps immensely! Thanks for the clarification. I always try to run things as close to the rules as possible.
Kezelia would hit the frog in round 3 then. Both frogs are down still and Kezelia still needs to claw her way out, though it is merely redundant. Simply explain what she does, no rolls needed.
Everyone what do you do now that the battle is 'over', Krazok goes after the other smaller frogs...

I will be camping from Friday June 26 through Thursday July 2nd. I will not have access to the internet probably. I may have short very brief and very spotty phone access, but not enough to reliably post.
Valisia |
I am back btw, but I suspect we are waiting on the DM?
Arvangail Wintry |
Posting this from a friend's computer:
With My Computer's fan short circuit a few days ago due to the heat wave. I have order a new one with it has a 7 days delivery.
My posting (with phone) will be unreliable until beginning of next week
GM Wolf |
Wedding, check. Moving in, ongoing. Summer job, found. Free time limited.
Nonetheless I am back now and plan to be posting at least once per day. Sorry for being away for so long but as you can tell from the list above I have been very busy and my internet limited. Who is still interested in this game?
I really want everyone to be onboard and hope we can continue soon!
