Month 6:

So we started 6 with 20BP, earned the 1BP from stability and then spend 9 on claiming and papering Olegs getting a free house and stable there and building a tannery in the capital. We earned 11BP so end the month with 23BP We are looking good. I will wait on some of the guys to comment before going forward with the next 6 months.

So Month 2 will start with 29BP in the Treasury.

We are ready to resolve Event Phase. I assume Quince with the aid of the the rest of us can easily persuade the NPC's that need asked, if he can take 10 he doesn't need our aid.

Also on Houses: We can build one a month not counting toward a building. Some buildings need houses so we need a few. Building a house lowers Unrest 1 so we should wait at least till month 2 and see if we have Unrest

So for Month 2 do we want Noble Villa: Establish some of our first settled Families as Nobles (this is just fluff, but cool)
Or
Town Hall a meeting place to talk with the people. Both building provide +1 to all stats, the TH is 11BP, the NV is 12BP

Town Hall feels more our style. We picked a democracy (well benevolent oligarchy) so a gathering place makes sense.

If I remember correct our 1st Edict was going to be a Founder's Holiday/Celebration. Perhaps when that first assassination attempt occurs. I propose :

We are still in the month of Pharast (March) so it is a spring festival.

"Spring's Reign"- a celebration of the new life in the Greenbelt this spring which includes the founding of the Dutchy of Greenwatch, the installation of the High Council and Agents of the Council. Festivities to include a big hunt, games, and other such revelry.

Does Quince get to officiate a Droverson Wedding?

This would require to change the edicts to Taxation Light and Festivals to 1/year. Though they are a wash so it does not really matter. Spring festival sounds fun. I am still waiting to hear from the rest of the players if they want to RP the festival and assassination. Well a wedding might be likely.

Yeah we should have a festival but I think that it should fall at the end of year one. You know big one year celebration. We will also be in better position for edicts as we can now start getting a surplus of farms to cover the consumption. Lets just plan on the town hall for month 7, when I was doing minimum economy things were going to get tight spending the extra 5BP. Now that we have 23 for month 7 we can spend the 15 to do the town hall and claim another hex with a road and farm. Months 8 and 9 we will go lower end and do some grave yards. Yeah we only have to be in the capital 1 week a month to handle the activities so Lets get caught up on the RP things and let others have a chance to look over things and agree or express changes they want to see.

Again I stress I hate to dictate this stuff down but I think someone needs too for it not to kill the game. I am open to any suggestions or opinions as it is our kingdom not mine. So call me on stuff :)

So I was reading through our first interaction with the Gnome. Where and how did we find out about the mine. I'm at a loss as to what to say.

Did Stalker learn of it on his return trip?


I believe you found the mine by seeing it. At the end of the mine is the gnome's small door and then his house. You could ask Stalker but I don't think so, I believe it was Angeus mostly.

Tristan, go for it. Kev moved outside primarily since too many people inside was not good for diplomacy. And since there is not combat inside the cave, there is no reason for the Kev to come inside yet to see what is taking everyone so long.

So its been a bit slow lately...it does that on these boards in the summer.

This was never a post daily or you're out kind of campaign....

It's been ticking along for four years now...without the need for someone to "take over"

No one said anything about someone being out. The GM returned and made a comment about having to wait. While we have been chugging along, making the GM wait or making players wait is how games die. No matter how long they have been active.

Our current RP choices have put us in position of waiting on the gm, or a single player.

Several folks backed away from negotiations because the gnome (ah sweet gnomes) seems touchy. I think that part of the issue is not simply low post rate but at the moment we are always waiting on a single response.

yep and as always tone is hard to convey. It wasn't meant to be a hostile take over. Sorry if it came off that way. Was just meant to help get past the back and forth of single post. That in my opinion is one of the big issues in PBP. When I find myself in a one on one situation with GM I try and post as many times a day as the GM will replay to resolve the issue and get all back involved in the game. :)

I'm good, was out due to surgery for 2 weeks and the storm hit at the same time, I'm in the panhandle so we didn't get hit bad, lots of little branches, was without power for 3 days but back to normal here. Hope Wolf is good.

We fared better than I hoped.

At the start of Summer we had a 3 days of almost complete rain. During that time we had three roof leaks. Until 6 days before the storm we had tarps with sand bags on our roof. So I went up on the roof myself (way out side my wheel house and tarred over the spots our handy man had put the tarps.

We were still worried about the integrity of the roof. So we spent the storm at my inlaws. They lost power but our house didn't we had no issues where I had tarred. There were a few new water damaged spots but we have been negotiating with the insurance company since with the previous leaks.

The biggest headache for us thankfully was a bag of charcoal in the swimming pool. Charcoal dissolves when handled after a couple days in the bottom of a pool.

No sir, I haven't worn one in a few years and my daughter is at the age where she will not unless she is invited to a party but unfortunately band will interrupt it again this year. My wife is going to get dressed up a little for work but nothing elaborate. Perhaps next year?
