I am now at Dragon Con. I will try to post at least daily, but my internet access will be limited. Just wanted to let you know that my posts will be a little limited through Labor Day weekend.
Just so you know there is a combat coming, i planned to mame a map tonight but baby got the better of me again. I'll run the surprise round and first round tomorrow since you won't need a map straight away, i'll get a map done tomorrow night when i get in from work.
I'm not such an evil gm that i would leave you at the mercies of a full blown troll, though it has an unusually large reach and a climb speed this troll is infact CR3 so i honestly believe that you can take it.
The fact that you have a paladin who is archery based and can smite it at ranged and a fire oracle who can prevent its regen have not gone amiss on me, however Andrej you may be called upon to "tank".
Ego: how did you get on with obtaining a copy of Photoshop, for the maps? If you want something similar that's free (and legal), you could try GIMP. I've used it for years.
I use map tools, i'm only using the maps in this game with amendments so there shouldn't be a legal issue as i am not publicising them. Several people on the kingmaker path forums have done similar, without the adventure they are pretty useless anyway.
Maptools is pretty handy for the token management as well.
Kinda waiting on Egans initiative, thought he was back but he hasn't posted. Gonna get this combet done then we can take a look at the recruitment thread and decide who we're going to pick up. Your the strng silent type anyway andrej so i'm sure you can catch up on your return.
Do you guys have any thoughts on who to recruit? I'm leaning towards Maksin as he has applied three times now and has a good background. I'm also leaning towards an arcane caster like the fire wizard or the potential summoner but i don't know what you guys would prefer...

My vote is for Maksin for heals, buffing, ranged DPS and Darkwhisper (Ranger) for melee and woodsy skills. I will be happy with whoever you pick, but I think these two presented good applications and would make us a well rounded group.

I like Maksin myself. Darkwhisper is less of an effective build. The druid might be better. Take the one you think will be the most regular poster and best role player. :)
Just a little update and a plan for tomorrow. Silva is making some character adjustments so we should see those before the next combat, i expect you'll be heading back to the trading post for rations and so anza can rest so we'll introduce the new players there.
We'll have a roleplaying heavy day since Egan needs to pump the faeries for informationand you'll be meeting your new members, theres also a few nice surprises for you when you get back to the trading post.
I think i'm going to level you up before the bandit camp as well, depends on how much you get out of the faeries.
I do not think you will miss much Andrej but if a fight breaks out i'll give you a day to post the i'll assume you are busy with the horses until your return.

No problem Vael, Egan seems to be on a go slow with his faerie chst but we should be able to get you snd maksim in shortly so you have some time for polish.
I"ve updated tbe front page with a map of the bandit camp as provided by the faeries. Once we've got this faerie bit done we'll be getting maksim and vael introduced, sorry for the wait guys.
I may have been a little over subtle with the faeries, when they say that there are no humans there they are not lying but are not revealing the whole truth. Could we step up the post count for this part as well please, i know it requires a bit of thought but i am very aware we have two people waiting to join in.
If you would like to spend a little longer chatting with the faeries we can ask Maksim and Vael to think up a reason to meet you in the wilderness so they can join in.

Doing the best I can. Job has me in the field a lot this week. No computer to be had for much of the day and I am still posting 3+ times a day. I am fine playing out the rest of this with a diplomacy roll.

Yes. I am a scouter. My son is now 23 but I still volunteer and still camp with the scouts. In fact I am camping this weekend, so too will be away. I can post through tomorrow afternoon and then again Sunday afternoon.

20% chance of rain. We are taking boats and will be teaching canoeing in a lake in preparation for Northern Tier this summer. That is the high adventure canoe base. Good stuff.
Wow, i'm amazed at the chance that brought this little group of scout gamers together. Who would have thought we would end up with four in the group, i've got a busy weekend of baby entertainment planned while mum.y goes to the pub (damn her) so i think the post count will be low this weekend anyway. Hopefully we can jntroduce the new pc's and npc's as well as some extra plot hooks for you to ponder for next week. Andrej should be back shortly as well.
